Hi brian can you make video on how to do circles. Doing a U-turn on small streets are real pain in the neck, learning how to do circles or like 8 figure on bike would be a lot of help in the streets
Bro am just starting to ride my 636 , I can already wheelie smaller bikes but the 636 has more power , so how do I use the throttle to maintain the wheelie?
Exactly what I thought.. Just got an old z1000 2005. But it's in great condition and I would feel so mad if I damage it failing a wheelie.. Maybe I'll buy a cage just in case..
When I first started riding(day 3 / brand new bike off the floor) I did an accidental wheelie from a stop sign and it was only scary after realizing I didn't mean to do that. Some people saw it and started cheering... lmao if only they knew..
Exact thing happened to me! Felt like I was on a roller coaster ride!! Lotta cheering from the kids who were around & me picking my heart back up off the floor.😂😂😂😂
First off i would like to thank you very much. I have a stock z900 and have about 3 years riding experience. Never attempted a wheelie in my life. After following your steps and replaying your video 100 times to look at the hand movements, two hours later i can get the front wheel up now no problem thanks to you. Still have a hard time with a smooth landing but fuck it i can wheelie now. Fellas, like he said, slowly work your way up. First couple times you’ll barely get it up but thats the most important part because thats the part you feel if you need to give more gas. More gas sounds scary but trust me you’ll want to give it more and more just to get that %#@ up. You literally feel the weight shift slowly towards the back. Just remember to do it on a street that has zero traffic. As for the conditions, i learned it in first gear and my stance was how it normally would be as if i was riding, extra body weight more towards the rear helps. Cant thank you enough bro, but this video is definitely one of the best explanations and simplest way to understand how to wheelie.
I never wanted to do wheelies and I always found it look showoff.. But the way you describe it and just enjoy it, actually makes me wanna try it.. You just make it look fun like when I was a kid on a bicycle.. Great video and awesome explanation!
I think you found it to look show off because you can't do it, it's so much fun, feels amazing when you're up there and having that control over the bike that not many people have is a great feeling. I'm still learning hence why I'm back to watching this video to just see what else I can learn, but man I bet it feels sweet holding them for as long as Brian does.
"Preload" the rear brake. That's almost engaging the friction but keeping slight pressure on it. This will not only give you a better feel for feathering it will also eliminate any delay and help keep you from looping out the bike.
When I ride two up with my girlfriend on my GSXR 600 I struggle trying not to hit the balance point through the first 3 gears. It keeps trying to power wheelie. I guess a 600 isn't big enough. I'm saving my money up to buy a lighter girlfriend.
Just started to learn how to wheelie, first day I felt defeated, 2nd session definitely more confident about the feeling of when the wheel lifts up. Hardest part is staying on the gas when it lifts up, automatically first reaction is to let off
thanks for the tips brian!! this vid actually helped me like no other!! I just moved from Chicago to Riverside, CA 3months ago & bought a 2000 ZX6J and this helped out alot with my beginner wheelies today!!
No shitt you're going to drop your bike and you will/might get hurt. Fuckkk it it's part of learning, I already dropped my bike over 5 times two of them was over 50mph and still going hard🤘
I flipped a wheelie 4 months ago and broke my knee as well as a bunch of other shit. Started riding with my right leg hanging off the bike 6 weeks later lol. Can't risk the wheelies yet though
After a few weeks im starting to get more comfortable getting around balance point and getting better wheelies now. I.think the weirdest thing is getting my hand and foot used to working throttle/ brake while in that balance position. It's just a lot of fun learning man.
Been watching your vids for a while and just got a grom to start stunting on for a few weeks now. Can’t believe I just came across this video you’ve came a long way man love the videos
Brian, I am an old timer, 50 now; but used to do wheelies in open parking lots on the weekends in the 1980s. Can you tell me a little about your clutch on the 636. The Ninja has a powerful clutch that makes wheelies effortless. I never got on my balance point simply because I did not have a crash bike in the 1980s and stopped doing stunts in my mid 20s. The Ninja had an annoying clutch but a powerful one that made dropping the clutch so simple. Also, the tail end comes out easy; I have had scary moments with a loose rear tire. Back to my question, can you tell me or do a video on the clutch system you have; looks like the same on the right brake. One other tip for beginners, a speed bump will get you up quick if you are scared to let it rock on that first drop of the clutch. Some people do not have the power or the clutch to lift a bike so I used to tell them to launch the tire on a speed bump if they are apprehensive about a first time wheelie. Today the bikes wheelie easy but as I said, i no longer do stunts; only in the 80s and 90s; an old timer now. Great stuff you have and with the power of intellect. I also see you can control the clutch with only one finger; a big advantage.
I have an Aprilia SVX and I am a Noob!!! I watch your finger on front brake lever more than anything (while street riding). Want to be able to pop wheel up when I want, enjoy your vids.
So youre the reason ive started learning wheelies on a cbr600 f2 🤣 got the beater bike for $170 at an auction and its perfect to learn and potentially crash it! Got to balance point for the first time today! Definitely a weird feeling to me
I legit have been trying to learn wheelies for a few weeks now and every time i know im going to loop out i panic and forget to hit the rear brake, like today i snapped my peg off and snapped my handle bars 🤦🏻♂️😂
A good addition to this video, as great as it was, is how to come down softly. =Because as I'm learning how to wheelie I've had the most trouble coming down too hard. Thanks for the tutorial man!!
Glad your gonna start uploading again always enjoy watching rider s from back home especially marines hahah rahhh. Im from lake county and used to watch ur vids back in the day.
Crazy I’ve been watching you literally forever but I still can’t wheelie lmao ima practice tho but man 7 year old video is wild lol I honestly truley feel that I am one of the first people to be addicted to your videos lol I used to be addicted I had bought a stunt bike years ago and had absolutely no clue wtf I was doing and has to sell it lol now I’m on a stock f4i and I’m just tryina be a better rider tbh thanks for all your content fam! 💯
Is it beneficial to learn to wheelie on a dirt bike first? Like if I drop a dirt bike and land in soft mud, then get the hang of it, will it translate to a street bike? I'm guessing yes right?
Nothing compared to the stress of street riding, I used to toss my dirt bike down all the time when things went sour but on the street you need to keep your shit together. That added stress helped my be more cautious and deliberate of my movements and helped my stunting. Dirt is good for basics but nothing will ever prepare you for street wheelies like street wheelies
Just got my first 636 I've been all over every kind of bike and my heart is taken with this machine I fucking looooooove it I've bodied every 1000 I've seen so far
So ur ex military? What branch u serve in? Really just want to say thanks for ur service an keep up the videos I be been watching ur vids to help me with my wheelies an ive came long way since I started watching
brian_636 If you ever miss it, the Army National Guard is ONLY one weekend a month and two weeks a year (most years)... still get to hang with joes, shoot stuff, blow stuff up, learn cool skills. Make them send you to school for a new MOS if you do it (preferably something you want to do either in the guard or out for a profession like computers /25 series/), and some states (like Nevada) have 100% tuition waiver so if you go to college you get to keep all your active duty gi bill cash and the state pays your tuition... Not a recruiter, I just know that three years after I got out of the army I was really missing certain things, and joining the guard ended up being the best thing for me... Later.
My buddy has a 636 and always watches your videos. I'd always wanted an FZ and that same happened to sell his. I've now got a FZ-07 with a stunt cage and slowly learning to wheelie. The best advice I have so far is avoid 1st gear, try 2nd. Do nice easy revs, drop the clutch and just chill. A couple inches is fine. Baby steps.
I’ve been practicing for like maybe 40 hours so far and still haven’t dropped my bike and I’ve hit balance point and rode it almost 45 feet. I bet it’s possible to not drop it while practicing.
i just broke my spin in my job parking lot not trying to do a wheelie i was revving in 2 nd gear i was finna down clutch to 1 and i forgot i was reviving in 2nd gear and release my clutch enough to where it sent me head first into my employees cars in the parking lot so im definitely glad i see what i did wrong by watching this video
I've been practicing on my Z125 in hopes of learning with less risk, but the problem I'm having is it seems like I can't feel anything while using the rear brake. It's like no feed back feeling when I press it unless I really smash it. Hoping to progress this into an actual stunt bike later down the road.
Yeah I've adjusted it so that it's comfortable to use. I guess I expect to feel some drag, but usually don't feel it till I've got a lot of pressure on it and then usually it brings it down. I've even upgraded to steel braided lines to try and get more feeling out of it. Just one of my struggles I suppose.
Well everyone is scared, just say fuck it, I’ve fallen and looped many times(I try to keep it at low speeds)and my dirt bike always comes out fine, just wear hard boots and your toes will be fine(learned that after the first time I bled all in my shoes) if u keep a slow enough speed you won’t get hurt, so just do that and remember if you loop, abort the bike and try to stay on your feet, Nd wear a helmet
@@noah_mana and don’t try this on your brand new fully faired sport bike. Get yourself a dual sport or a dirt bike that can take a bit of a beating. I just can’t believe you’ll successfully learn do wheelies if your terrified of messing up your fancy new sport bike.
Nice vid. Can you please say something more (or maybe record tutorial) about rear brake control? I mean when do you exactly start to using it? When you hit the balance point instantly or maybe slowly as you rise? You use both gas and brake control at the same time?
+brain_636 You are by far the best wheelie tutorial channel I have come across, already seen a ton of wheelie vids by you all great. Exactly what's needed to get started. Thanks, can't wait to peep the rest of your $#iT. -Luis

to everyone. its his first words. feel it out. its not hard to find the balance point. just get a bike u arent afraid of dumping and practice. its probably easier than you think.
i never really tried to wheelie a motorcycle i always borrowed dirt bikes when younger and just rode them fast and didnt want to mess up the homies bike. then i got a grom and i use it as my daily so i dont really want to mess it up since i use it everyday. but ya every once in awhile ill just juice it and pop it to kind of take off fast and do a small wheelie on accident. but ya i want to learn.. eventually. the bad thing even though the grom is cheap they still try to rip you off on all the parts for it almost the same cost as a normal bike.. almost. so ya to stunt it out is kinda expensive.. i got mine used on craigslist for 1700 though so i think i got a ok deal. its fun though for city riding. and in mornings i love being able to lane split the smallest of gaps with all the damn soccer moms trying give their kids a ride 3 blocks away from their house..but ya i want to learn to stunt on it but i would at least do some protection first.. what are the basics you should do to your bike before you start learning as a complete noob basically.
Dang lol looks super cool not ready to drop my 2020 z900. Not sure why all these videos started popping up in my feed , will build the courage one day 🙏
When you reach the balance point do you hold the same acceleration or do you decelerate and then re-celery? And are you breaking at balance point Softly or just riding it?
Thanks & thumbs up When u say any bike, mine did not lift even a millimeter!!! I have a Benelli TRK 251. Quite heavy on the tank. It has an 18litre tank. I throttled and simultaneously did a sudden fast clutch release. No lift!!!
Since this is so popular, can u take a newbie and train him to do a wheelie, on video for us to see? I feel like we'd learn a lot better seeing u school a newbie. A lot of his problems will be our problems too
Such great control I’m very intrigued by people that have this much control wheeling. I wanna learn. Popping the clutch is probably the easiest way to get the front wheel up huh? Not like a dirtbike where you can be in second gear and gas it and pick it up.
I’ve been practicing wheelies for a while and I’m getting closer and closer to balance point but I’ve heard some people say squeeze your legs against your tank and others say not to, i have been squeezing them and it seems to help me but I don’t wanna make bad habits
I’ve had a hard time getting to balance I think it could be natural fear. Hey man I seem to get it up pretty high. If you willing to look at my channel maybe you could tell by eye how much further or how close you think I’m am. (Cheers) I cant wait to watch more of your vids, just found your channel. ✌🏻
Hey Brian, I know you always respond so I have a couple questions, I’ve been very slowly practicing my wheelies on my new F4i, it’s not stunted out yet just has a cash cage so I’m not rushing to Fuck it up lol, subcage is in order. But the very few wheelies I’ve done from dumping the clutch the bike seems to like throw me back almost and a lot of the Time my foot comes off the brake, is that just because the stock sprocket? Will a bigger sprocket make the transition into 1 wheel less of a launch, I can do power wheelies off like a stop light and I’ve almost hit balance point on those but the Rpms are way to high and speed is almost at 50 so I stopped doing that. And when I start my clutch ups I’m usually at like 15-20 mph and rev it to like 7-8k to get it up, I assume it takes so much because of the sprocket right? Any tips for me to keep my foot on the brake. I thought maybe I wasn’t squeezing the bike enough with my legs but idk. anything is appreciated thank Homie!!!
You got to slow down to about 5 mph and give it some gas, pull up, and drop it all at once brother!! Please subscribe and check out the rest of the channel mannnn
ive been subbed forever bro, and thanks for the info, gonna hit the lot as soon as my subcage comes in. lol i just wish i could get a lot sesh a day video from you, watching this channel is like crack
Everybody asking ??? About how to wheelie needs a 50cc honda learn on that .i went from 50 to 600 wheelie in balance point in no time. If you cant on lil bike you cant on big bike.
I know I'm necroing but thats bs hahahaha, it's so much easier to wheelie on a big bike, and some bike styles are easier inherently for me nakeds were always the easiest to keep up
Reupload? 😂❤️ and btw last video you had no wrap anymore iT was hole black and now you have a wrap wth we Gonny do you work so hard for that bike 😂❤️💕😂
If only I listened to you man! Fucking did exactly what you told me not to do. Kept popping them up in 2nd about 20-30 mph and paid the price felt balance point and freaked out thought I went to far back which caused me to go more back fucking stupid.. anyways man appreciate all your vids. Always wanted to tell you this man. Your my favorite stunt rider. Like your a fucking Animal! There’s a lot of great ones but I love your style. No fan boy shit just recognizing greatness..
bisaf11 Just so happens me and Dank are good friends to man, the more love this channel gets though the more videos I can make... No where near the fans Dank has lol
I never thought I would but I really want to learn how to wheelie and stunt. I don’t think I’m going to attempt it on my current bike as it’s a 650r and I’m going to sell it next year to get a zx6r. I think that might be my forever bike. I’ve had a zx10r and didn’t like it one bit. Maybe next year I’ll get some race plastics and learn like that :)
Move your body forward putting weight to the front wheel, make sure its stable, then hit the front brake carefully so you dont go flying over your handlebars yet with enough strengh to elevate the back wheel... Its a matter of practice, but as with wheelies, I would recommend you to start doing them on a bicycle first.

If you ever miss it, the Army National Guard is ONLY one weekend a month and two weeks a year (most years)... still get to hang with joes, shoot stuff, blow stuff up, learn cool skills.
Later.
I don't know the sweet spot, that is why I subscribed to you to teach me Brian.
Deja vu ...you foregot to tell them to stock up on bandages.oh and pride cuz its gonna get hurt.✌✌!!
Joey G Richards hahhaaha ya that too
My buddy has a 636 and always watches your videos.
Baby steps.
That’s by i90 right off of the north exit no?
Didn’t know you was military. Thank for your service.
Of course my guy
PynkPwny have you tried adjusting the rear brake pedal?
Yeah I've adjusted it so that it's comfortable to use. I guess I expect to feel some drag, but usually don't feel it till I've got a lot of pressure on it and then usually it brings it down. I've even upgraded to steel braided lines to try and get more feeling out of it. Just one of my struggles I suppose.
Remove the rest brake spring and you'll only feel pressure when it's engaging
I learned to wheelie on my friends old stunt bike that was already quite beat up so I wasn't scared to ruin my new bike
What's your take on being nervous about falling back or going to far back as well as leaning forward naturally when getting up??
If you are scared to crash... You are in the wrong sport man.
I just can’t believe you’ll successfully learn do wheelies if your terrified of messing up your fancy new sport bike.
you have the best instruction so far...semper fi bro
Nice vid. Can you please say something more (or maybe record tutorial) about rear brake control? I mean when do you exactly start to using it? When you hit the balance point instantly or maybe slowly as you rise? You use both gas and brake control at the same time?
elkey1000 yes this is something I can deffiantly do....
Ate shit going 80 the other week, now Im nervous to clutch up at 5mph without a stabilizer lol. Very informative!
Damn, Hope you are all good James!!!! Much love dude please subscribe!
What exactly do you mean by drop the clutch on when you’re wheelieing?
Dropping the clutch=letting it out faster than normal
best video i have come across helped me alot.
Thank you my dude! Please share on facebook so others can watch too!
+brain_636 You are by far the best wheelie tutorial channel I have come across, already seen a ton of wheelie vids by you all great. Exactly what's needed to get started. Thanks, can't wait to peep the rest of your $#iT. -Luis
Good to hear you are digging the videos..If you like my channel and want more "extras" please check out my new channel! It is behind the scenes, more community and never before seen videos videos. I also do some giveaways!!! Much love either way brother! www.patreon.com/brian636
to everyone. its his first words. feel it out. its not hard to find the balance point. just get a bike u arent afraid of dumping and practice. its probably easier than you think.
i never really tried to wheelie a motorcycle i always borrowed dirt bikes when younger and just rode them fast and didnt want to mess up the homies bike. then i got a grom and i use it as my daily so i dont really want to mess it up since i use it everyday. but ya every once in awhile ill just juice it and pop it to kind of take off fast and do a small wheelie on accident. but ya i want to learn.. eventually. the bad thing even though the grom is cheap they still try to rip you off on all the parts for it almost the same cost as a normal bike.. almost. so ya to stunt it out is kinda expensive.. i got mine used on craigslist for 1700 though so i think i got a ok deal. its fun though for city riding. and in mornings i love being able to lane split the smallest of gaps with all the damn soccer moms trying give their kids a ride 3 blocks away from their house..but ya i want to learn to stunt on it but i would at least do some protection first.. what are the basics you should do to your bike before you start learning as a complete noob basically.
Hell ya brother you got that right! Thanks brother!!! Please subscribe and check out the rest of the channel!!
Rudy Leinbock At Balance point you can keep the same amount of gas. As you go past balance point that is when you can smoothly apply foot brake
@@brian636 key phrase...smoothly apply the rear brake. Lol
I remember Watchibg this vid when it came out and i think you had 3k subs. Crazy that you have almost 77k now! Wow
Thank you for good tips
mathias Kallestad No problem please subscribe and share !!!!!
This is much better than MR. "No Bwayno's" blox starz tutorial.
BigDogTwenny9niny2 Love the guy, just not the best teacher lol
Are you using the rear brake the whole time? Or just to bring it down?
Just when it goes past balance point brother
Thanks & thumbs up
When u say any bike, mine did not lift even a millimeter!!!
I have a Benelli TRK 251. Quite heavy on the tank. It has an 18litre tank.
I throttled and simultaneously did a sudden fast clutch release. No lift!!!
I "chase" all my wheelies. That balance point shit is scary af 😂
What does chase it out mean?
Great video mate! I would like you to explain a little better the way you must press the clutch and use the gas.
man, i finally able to wheelie. thanks broo
Since this is so popular, can u take a newbie and train him to do a wheelie, on video for us to see? I feel like we'd learn a lot better seeing u school a newbie. A lot of his problems will be our problems too
I could forsure do that!!!
Just found your channel. I'm in Rockford
Such great control I’m very intrigued by people that have this much control wheeling. I wanna learn. Popping the clutch is probably the easiest way to get the front wheel up huh? Not like a dirtbike where you can be in second gear and gas it and pick it up.
1st gear are a lot easier to learn because it literally comes every time
You got it brother!! Please subscribe my dude
great content and you're a good teacher ! hopefully I'm be 12 o clock soon yahuruurd
Thanks brother, hope you enjoy all this channels vids!
I’ve been practicing wheelies for a while and I’m getting closer and closer to balance point but I’ve heard some people say squeeze your legs against your tank and others say not to, i have been squeezing them and it seems to help me but I don’t wanna make bad habits
Hell ya man, everyone has there own thing that they do but you will devolop your own as well! Please subscribe
brian_636 thanks man, love ur videos. been subscribed for a while now and glad seeing your channel getting bigger u deserve it
Leaving a like for the few last seconds, that was crazy!
KLASSICK_J gotta go higher forsure make sure you are ready to use that rear brake tho!! Please share brother!!
I ride a Harley. . But this is a good video! I use to ride the sport bikes until chit about hit the fan one.day.. be safe out there homie!
THAT ENDING CLIP THOOOOOO! BRO UR THE MAN! OKAY NOW TO DO THAT ITS WORTH CRASHING ..LOL
Everybody asking ??? About how to wheelie needs a 50cc honda learn on that .i went from 50 to 600 wheelie in balance point in no time. If you cant on lil bike you cant on big bike.
brandie cuevas Love it!! True 100%
I know I'm necroing but thats bs hahahaha, it's so much easier to wheelie on a big bike, and some bike styles are easier inherently for me nakeds were always the easiest to keep up
I learned On a 50cc sumo 2 stroke and it wheeled as well as my 600
Bro this guy is a legend
Reupload? 😂❤️ and btw last video you had no wrap anymore iT was hole black and now you have a wrap wth we Gonny do you work so hard for that bike 😂❤️💕😂
Khqzi 🤘🤘🤘
I got a 60 tooth sprocket. Better to Pop it up in 1st or 2nd? Super choppy in 1st. Your a big reason why I started stunting. Appreciate all your vids.
Always learn in first. It hurts less when you fall and the higher gears are easier to wheelie anyway!
Wait a min, I am confused about the two hand brakes. Break that down for me, Bro
I have a video on explaining the handbrake!! Check it out and please subscribe bro!
Your first tutorial ❤
🇦🇺
Man the view from the parking lot onto the city is stunning! Which city is that?
bisaf11 Phoenix
Didn't know it looks so awesome. I've just checked out your channel and really liked the content. I've just subscribed. Keep up the good videos mate.
Will do brother please share the videos so I can keep them coming!!!
bisaf11 Just so happens me and Dank are good friends to man, the more love this channel gets though the more videos I can make... No where near the fans Dank has lol
Why did you say Chicago in the video?
I never thought I would but I really want to learn how to wheelie and stunt. I don’t think I’m going to attempt it on my current bike as it’s a 650r and I’m going to sell it next year to get a zx6r. I think that might be my forever bike. I’ve had a zx10r and didn’t like it one bit. Maybe next year I’ll get some race plastics and learn like that :)
I will speed and try my hardest to top my bike out anywhere I go, but I'm scared to death to wheelie
Hahahahahhaah its the opposite for me man
Well I subbed cause your breakdown on wheelies helps clear things up for me. I'm just trying to ease into it right now. Thanks 👌
@@Hyper_drive214 how you doing now man? You end up wheelie ing?
@@DB6__ Only by accident lol
Yeah man I'm the same way. No issues hitting 150mph but wheelies aren't my thing. I do baby ones and that's it
I’m hoping my ‘performativity’ grows quick. Just got my first stunt bike I’m hypeeee
Hell ya my guy keep at it!!!
@@brian636 appreciate that brotha!!! And remember my name, you’ll hear it again.
Mentioning sprocket tooth count can help.
Late to the party by one year, but my bike had a stock rear and front sprocket was "upgraded" for top speed. Couldn't wheelie for shit.
Good video! Like the Home Depot gloves!!
whowell117 the best!!!
How to do rolling stopie next plzz
Grab the brake
Move your body forward putting weight to the front wheel, make sure its stable, then hit the front brake carefully so you dont go flying over your handlebars yet with enough strengh to elevate the back wheel... Its a matter of practice, but as with wheelies, I would recommend you to start doing them on a bicycle first.
stoppie is more dangerous then wheelie
Been watching a lot of vids. This has been the best. So thanks a lot my guy
Thanks my dude! Please subscribe and share the videos so others can watch them and the channel grow! Much love!
