Blue & Grey is my favorite on BE album💜 Taehyung is the main composer and producer for this song! He is a lyrical genius. Originally this song was in english for his mixtape, but the members liked it so much they asked him to put it on the album! This song is a masterpiece! I'm so proud of Tae 😭💜

I know you view Tae as this sexy unstoppable beast (which he is) but he is one of the most complex people to me. He has this "childlike wonder" about him (in Suga's words) and he is such an artistic soft soul who loves art and gentle music. He is our weird Tae, our sophisticated Taehyung, and our sexy V all in one.

Beautifully said. And exactly why he’s my ultimate bias. I didn’t have a bias until I learned more about their personalities but as soon as i got to know V I immediately gravitated towards his unique personality. No amount of good looks of amazing voice will sway that connection.

"Blue and Gray" was written and produced by Taehyung, although this song was supposed to be in Taehyung's mixtap, but he decided to include it in this album and sing it with all the members.
Tai wrote this song when he was going through a difficult time and exhausting isolation, to the point that he suffered from insomnia and depression, so he was trying to cure himself by writing the lyrics of a song until he made (blue and gray) on his hands ^^
That is why you see him saying at the end of the song that he had finally fell asleep when dawn fell, and that he was able to sleep at last after he wrote this song and these soft words
Taehyung is a creative person and artist, just like the rest of Bangtan's members, the melody is composed by Tae Hyung too, but the rap line segments were written by them.
So I hope our little Taehyung and all BTS members get their happiness and that sadness never approaches them.

BTS' rapline is just insane. they can literally flow in ANY type of beat they pick. Just take Blue & Grey....that song doesn't sound like it could fit rapping at all....but they made it work. And this song was actually originally only V's! He wrote it and showed it to the guys (it was meant for his mixtape) and they liked it so much that they asked him if they could use it for the album!!!
After listening to this song (blue & Grey) I can't wait for KTH1 (Kim Taehyung) mixtape! He is an amazing artist and I'm so proud of him 😭💜 I love Tae with all my heart!

It was originally intended to be on V’s mixtape and was entirely in English. However, all members liked it so much that they decided to change some of it and put it on the album. and so rapline wrote their parts and V changed lyrics from English to Korean.
Tae wrote this song when he was suffering from burnout and possibly depression. He said this a couple of times, I also think that’s why the members wrote such moving messages to him on the rolling paper during the fiesta. Makes this song even more emotional.

He really is a very poetic person, and his voice is so heavenly. this song is so beautiful. ..and his falsetto 6:26 - OMG. i could feel his vulnerability and cry for help. I think his vocals really stood out this album, he is phenomenal.

Word and horse soulds same in Korean so.. i love Monday's now:)) lol anyways blue and grey is actually taehyungs doing, i think it was supposed to be on taes mixtape but the members liked the song so they included it on the album. Same goes to stay by rm jin and jungkook, it was supposed to be on jungkooks mixtape but the members liked it so yeah blue and grey is a meaningful and sentimental song talking about depression and anxiety , blue is usually used as an expression of sadness and grey being dull and all and yeah i was actually looking forward to this song ever since ive heard it from one of the episodes of in the soop where tae played the english version in which was supposed to be on his mixtape. The last line was not " I secretly picked up a horse in the air". The correct word is "Words" not "Horse". The Korean character "말" is used for both words. But it should be and the correct lyrics is "I secretly picked up these WORDS in the air."

blue and grey was made to be part of Taehyung mixtape (he is main writer and producer in this song along with 2 of his friends)
it was supposed to be all in English, we got to hear a snippet of it in " in the soop" but the members liked it and part of the lyrics was translated to Korean - the singing parts- and the song was altred to fit the rap verses written by our rapline.
Tae wrote this song about the burouts he felt as a way of coping, we are extremely proud of him.
I can't even imagine having this fully in English with taehyung's soulful voice the whole song, we are already crying mess over it.

20 NOV,2020 album got released and after some days weverse magazine dropped and I still get tears listening to Blue and Grey cause Tae wrote it when he was in depression, when he was deep , when he wanted to end his journey, when he thought that singing became his everyday routine but not a special feeling , when he thought “will their be an end of this tunnel?” , and the way he composed that song and we can feel every single emotion 🥺🥺🥺😭 I love him sm I can help 🤧❤️

suga do be composing almost all the songs in this album (nvm im wrong)
no he didn't. composing is completely different from producing and songwriting. his original composition is only "telepathy" and he had a part in songwriting and producing in some of the other tracks in this album. he did initially have some more of his original compositions that he intended to include in this album, but they wanted to give all members an equal shot at including songs, so he let the other boys include their compositions as well

Furthermore their earlier songs consist almost of only rap verses, so rappers truly contributed a lot throughout the years.

Blue and Grey always hits me hard. I have battled depression and anxiety for years, and the pandemic heightened everything. Blue and Grey is one of the songs my sisters showed me to get me into BTS and I find it really healing when I’m struggling and having a bad day. All the songs on this album are so amazing.
💓JIMIN's vocals will never let me live in peace. How does a person sound that defining and has a voice which sounds like a crystal. I can find his voice amongst millions, it's the most unique thing I have heard and I haven't found anyone like him😭
I love every single song on this Album, but Blue and Grey is one of the best songs I've ever heard. The melody, the musical production and the lyrics were all top teir. However the emotional gut punch is what makes it so special. In terms of emotional weight the closest song of theirs might be The Truth Untold, but that song was mostly telling a story whereas Blue and Grey is deeply personal.
