A lot of people think this song is about the time when bts were thinking about disbanding and "letting go" of ARMYs, but that's actually not correct. The song itself was written for a Japanese reality show, and none of the members are credited in any part of the song (writing, producing, composing) -- so to me, it seems strange that people would believe BTS would dedicate a song to ARMY (and about such a meaningful thing, too) that they didn't even write, and that they then used as a theme song for a show 🤷🏽♀️. Not to mention it's a Japanese Track, not even Korean, which is their Native Language.
Edit: the belief that this was a "goodbye song to ARMY" was a fan theory that spread wildly out of hand. Never came from the boys themselves. The only song that they themselves have said was written about the time they were thinking of breaking up is Outro: Tear

Thanks for clearing this up. I too was lead to believe that this song was dedicated to ARMY when they thought about disbanding. And it made sense since it came out the year they mentioned thinking about it, but I always thought it was odd, like you said, it was in Japanese instead of Korean.

Jin steals all Japanese music for himself (Imo). Taetae's voice is also my favorite, it crosses the soul leaving traces of chills every single time.
This wasn't written by BTS, but they did record it when they were discussing disbanding, which is probably why it hits so hard. Jin dropped that bombshell on us at an acceptance speech at an award show at the end of 2018.

V sings in "clear raspy" voice cause his natural voice is baritone but he sings in much higher range like other tenors (jk, jin). To reach those high notes he uses a lot of breathe, that's why he sounds deep but also airy ❤️
11:40 What is so wonderful about his voice is that even if he sings in the higher register you can still "hear" that his voice is actually much deeper. So, it has a texture and a depth to it that most others just lack.

this song was not written by them but at that time 2018 was so fucking hard for them all the awards names achievements it was too much for them to handle at once so they thought about disbanding and they also mentioned it on MAMA 2018 speech when they got artist of the year, so long story short 2018 was a beautiful but hard year for them u can also check the logs on their channel bangtantv that they were having a hard time physically and mentally, i'm so glad that these days they can open up more and talk more about what they think with us without hesitation they're literally the greatest of all time.

I heard something else. It's the last song on the album before the outro. It was written in the light of very possible disbandment. If the LY era would have truly been the end, then this could have been seen as their last song.... So in that sense, yes, it's abt the disbandment, even if it wasn't written by them. They probably already expressed to the management that they were gonna quit and luckily changed their mind

But after they talked about it and won the award "Artist Of The Year" they didn't disband.

Actually many kpop groups have baritones in them. But then all the guys with deep voices sound the same. Deep gorgeous and clear. But V's voice is unique in the sense that it is deep,velvety smooth,raspy and breathy at the same time. Actually I've not really heard anyone have deep and breathy voice thats why its completely unique and captivating to me.
