Best luxury car? Depends which spec you pick! 2023 BMW 3 Series review

- I just drove the BMW 330i sedan. It's not the best 2023 BMW 3 Series available.
I can say that with confidence because, as good as it is, the M340i xDrive version that sits above it is only a few grand more (if you option your 330i with extras) and it the six-cylinder version has so much more power, torque, equipment and speed that it would be silly to choose the 330i, I reckon.
Just a shame you can't get the Touring wagon version of the 3er in different trim levels -- and this video review of the BMW 3 Series 2023 range includes a rundown on the 320i, 330i sedan and Touring, 330e plug-in hybrid (PHEV), M340i xDrive, and even hints at the M3 models! But I didn't get to drive those ones...
So, is it this or a Mercedes C-Class, Audi A4, Genesis G70 or something else entirely? Tell me your thoughts in the comments.

Nice work 🎉
Quality video mate!
Thanks mate! Glad you liked it.
Very detailed information 👌
This black car looks very lovely. Your review is very helpful. All your videos are worth watching
Nice video 💯😊
Good job 👏
I agree with you on the 330i but I noticed you didn't mention the 320d which is the most popular in South Africa. Is it not available in Australia?
I'm glad to hear that some of the active (not related to autonomous driving) safety equipment is standard.
I find it abhorrent when carmakers (Germans are the biggest culprits) change extra for safety.
Finally, thank you for an informative review.
Thank you for your feedback!
You’re right - no diesel 3 series in Australia anymore. The PHEV is supposed to essentially fill that gap, though at the price it costs, it’s hardly a 320d style proposition.
Totally agree with your statement in regards to safety. It should be standard!
I would go for the M340i purely because it has a proper inline 6. Now that is a true ultimate driving machine. Not a major fan of BMWs with inline 4s.
Fair enough. There are so many 4-cyl BMW models though, that it makes it hard not to choose one.
Hey Matt, a few more details on why you go the audi a4 avant over the bmw touring? All wheel drive? I'm after a sportyish wagon, coming from an old gen 4 liberty wagon. At the moment it's BMW, Audi a4, vw arteon or wrx wagon. No manuals 😔
Good video
Car prices in Australia is out of control.
I live in Canada and a fully loaded 2023 M3 competition with Xdrive, carbon everything, premium package, advanced driving feature is $123k not including taxes. We do pay luxury tax on cars over $100k but I think it’s still not too bad. My fully loaded 2023 BMW iX 50 cost $160kCAD (paid cash) with taxes, luxury taxes, dealer fees, registration fees, dedicated winter tire setup, full whole car PPE, tints, etc. What would a car like this cost in Australia?
Is your ix 50 fun to drive ?
Excellent
Beautiful
🔥🔥🔥
They do not make the 320i anymore for the US market. They stopped making the 320i in 2018.
Cool. They still sell it in plenty of other markets.
M340i....if your pocket is deep enough....no brainer
Bang on mate.
Fantastic super good car❤❤
What an amazing car 🚙
Nice
What about 330i sports collection?
Dunno anything about it
Soooo cool
The reality right car
👏

You are a busy boy.
Sure am. Catching up with edits, hence the onslaught of videos!!
@The Right Car? Good to see you doing well.
94k for a BMW 330i is way off. I just saw a 2023 330i with red interior at 54k.
Where are you, though. Surely not in Australia!!
in germany its the 3 series starts at 43k
Good review. I think it’s a bit overpriced
We looked at BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz and we ended up going for a Volvo S60. Love the car and we had over $25k saving on similar spec'd German cars.
Nice! Glad you’re happy with it.
Lol you are about to find out
Luxury car
😮😮😮😮
they artificial engine noise into the cabin through speakers which is the stupidest idea ever
Perfect car
Yes it is right car
Awesome.
BMW is the best
Vry gd
100k for a 4 cylinder😅.
That’s the norm!
The brand, BMW, has gone overpriced. Usually, a car or SUV would be at a 1.6x price in Europe than in Australia, but BMW's products are pretty much the same as in Europe and Australia.
Yep they are pretty pricey these days.
B ig M oney W aste, lol its got turbo petrol from Toyota. seriously been to Germany many times and guess what these cars are taxi's in their homeland.
❤😂🎉❤😂🎉❤😂🎉
All recent BMWs have an awful ride quality. Run-flat low profile tyres make it a bumpy ride, not at all a feeling of class or luxury. It makes your teeth rattle.
