  • Aglaonema/Chinese Evergreen is easy to grow and propagate. You can propagate it with either stem cuttings or by division.

    Is there a update video?

Thanks for the video. How long did it take for the larger cutting with the leaves to stabilize and start growing?

It took a very long time and lost most of the leaves before I started to see new growth. But I didn't have the patience to nurse the plant long enough. I gave up along the way, and I lost the plant. I am sure if I paid more attention and continued to do all the right things, like keep the soil moist with good humidity and remained patient, it would have definitely survived.

@@bringlifeindoors2370 Oh I'm so sorry that you lost the plant. Thanks for the feedback. Will still try your method

@Bago700 with the right conditions, it works and a whole lot of patience. All the best 🌱

So when you are doing your propagating you can get new growth from the stem you left in the soil?

Yes, you can with the right conditions. Good humidity, warm and good light.

What about the rooted part that you cut from? Will that grow again or will it die?

Given the right conditions, it should develop new growth. Takes a while, and I wasn't patient enough. I threw it out after a while.

How long does it take for the plant to grow a good enough root in soil?

It takes a long time. I must say, I prefer rooting plants in water and water propagations. While soil works too, soil propagation requires a lot of patience because you don't see what's going on in the soil. You have to believe something is happening and hope for the best.
With water, on the other hand, you can see what's going on. You see every little development, which makes waiting easier.

I don’t understand why u have to chop and tear those healthy leaves if it is a completely healthy plant? 😢 You could have add the results in the video. What is the update for stem cuttings? Did they grow?

Unfortunately, I didn't have the patience to nurse the plant until it got rooted. I gave up along the way, and I lost the plant.
