- In this episode, Alec and I made a ton of progress and finally got the new windshield trimmed and mounted. Then we moved on to getting the Safe Craft fire suppression system mounted up. Moving to the rear of the car, we were able to get some additional clearance for the crazy Borla exhaust collector by trimming out some of the rear brace.
Big thanks to everyone for following along as my team and I transform this flood damaged C8 Corvette into a full Formula Drift spec drift car!

Let's Go Fields!!! It's almost done, I'm super excited for y'all!!!💯💪🏽💯
So close yet so far! Haha
where did you source the curved poly?
so hyped to see this thing in action!
Is this the 2024 car?
Thanks, Matt! I've been enjoying this C8 Corvette series because that's what I'm into, and your driving, of course! 🔥
Building cars is almost as fun! Haha
I’ve been waiting for the next episode! Happy Monday Mr. Field!
After seeing the sand, how much more weight from the sand in the frame do you think there could be? Should you make some holes and check, or is it not worth the bother?
Hahaha no kidding!
The plan is to wash out the rails before we take it to paint. Now with all the fiberglass and stuff removed we can wash in the chassis rails a lot better, but it’ll never be all the way gone 😂😂
@@mattfield777 Thanks for the info! I can't wait to see this "beach buggy" sideways. Excellent series, the best C8 build by far, ty for sharing.
Tapping with drill is so ballsy
Freakin send it and fix it later if ya gotta 😂
Why dont you use the fasteners that drag guys use along the top of the window?
I think those tabs are a bit less clean than some small hardware on the window perimeter. Just preference
