    On "My Car Story" we're in Burr Ridge IL on 12-22-14 at the Corvette Mike Midwest.
    We're looking at a 1972 Chevrolet Chevy Corvette 454 engine in Ontario Orange Paint.
    This car has a 454 cubic inch engine which was the largest you could have as an option in 1972. The interior has a rare rear window defogger, and the paint on this car looks awesome.
    We’re talking with Bill Kotzum, one of the Owners of Corvette Mike Midwest. He’s had the dealership since 2004. The company is located at 60 Shore Drive, Burr Ridge, IL 60527 who sells Corvettes.
    If you’re interested in purchasing a Corvette, call Bill at the office # 1-630-230-0441. Or go to www.corvettemikemidwest.com

    What a gorgeous classic Corvette. The color is stunning and a unique color that you dont see often. The interior is perfect and the color goes so well with the gorgeous exterior color. Cant get any better than that amazing 454 4spd with the bell and whistles this classic has. Just a beautiful classic Corvette that I wish was in my garage.

    I grew up as a kid in elementary school drooling over the early C3 Corvettes. I had a classmate in third grade 1973 who's brother came to school and parked his 72 454 Targa Blue Coupe on the lot outside our class window. I wasn't paying too much attention as long as he was there. My eyes were glued to that car. I thought someday I will own a Corvette. They were already on my mind and a huge fixation of mine. I couldn't wait to see another one.

    i enjoy seeing these original vehicles that haven't received upgrades and mods. it gives you an idea of what was for sale. in late 71, imagine the 454 powered fleetwood sedan deville with power everything that six thousand dollars got you. this is fibre glass, and you do all the shifting yourself!

    • @loucostabile
      @loucostabile  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the original cars too, because it's fun to see exactly what they looked like when they were new at the time of sale. Like a imaginary journey back to the time year of the car :-)

    Ah the memories. My brother had a white 72 convertible with those three 454 digits fastened to that power bulge hood. Red hound's tooth interior. The braided spark plug wires and chrome distributor shield. The tilt/telescopic spoke steering wheel. It was one bad ass car. Especially for a teenage kid who drove a hand me down Biscayne that used more oil than gas.
    Yeah, the first thing my brother did was remove the smog pump and plug the exhaust manifolds to my dad's objection. I thought the battery was behind the passenger seat. He dropped the biggest J.C.Penny's lifetime battery that would fit into it. We found out about the car alarm the hard way. My brother was under the hood when I inserted the key and turned it on, After a short time delay it sounded off.
    Yeah that was an awesome car. I loved the way it would squat when you gave it some gas. It was the only other car, besides a friends brother's GTO, that would pin you to the seat when you opened it up. Sadly they're all gone now. I sure miss them.

      @@loucostabile Hi Lou, Thanks for the reply and showing these great cars. Needless to say I have a soft spot for Corvettes. I could ramble all day about the 72. I wish I could find one but it's like trying to recover my youth. Unfortunately I don't have a good place to house one and it would be a crime to leave it in the weather.
      BTW - That was a beautiful example of a great car. Take care - Jim

    Umm you don’t know where the battery is... they never put the batter under the hood until 1984. Omg dude Also I own a 79 coupe with only 66k on it, all original and even the paint. That sir is not the original paint job on that car, it’s to smooth. Also there is no over spray marks on it either. The interior is just not up to par in it either, meaning it all wore out for only having 33k on the odometer. The paint is show quality but that’s it.
