I think you will love their "Judgement (& Punishment)" live one-take vocal from Tatiana video that they recently released.
It is a nice chance to really focus on her physical technique up close.

Yea I can not pick up but I am pretty sure that she puts in here some other language that is not English I think it is kinda French but I am sure she implements some language that is not her native and not English also...

Mike, you really need to see Tatiana do a one take solo from the new Judgement and Punishment One Take. No mixing, only her and the mic. Amazing!!!

There’s several metal bands with women growling, but Tatiana’s voice is unique because of the quality of it.
(Not only compared to the women, but men too)

Not only that she's also unique because of their musical composition. Her voice is leagues above most metal or psudometal acts but her lyrics and the rest of the band makes her and Jinjer as a whole GREAT.
I mean she has a very similar growl to (and I think inspired by) lamb of God's frontman
Even more impressive is the fact this was the last song in their set.
It was a day set in Wacken so probably no longer than half hour
Jinjer , the whole band, not only Tati, is unique. You won’t fond tons of bands like them.

Tatiana is a very unique singer. There's tons of singers who can growl. Tons who have amazing cleans. But almost zero that can switch on a dime from one to the other and back. And the fact that she sounds so amazing live is just the cherry on top. And I would be curious just how low she can go. Some of her lowest can be found in "Pit of Consciousness" Live in Kiev.
Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox, she can switch very well. Her screem and growl is better but she cant sing same high like Tatiana.
There are a handful. A precious few. Floor Jansen, Lizzy Hale, Alissa White-glus, Dave Drummain. (Spelling errors due to lack of coffee).
in general the second chrous from pisces features a section with really low-pitch note (e.g. Live in Mexico)
Yea most of them have 2 singers. 1 to do the growl and the other to sing.
When she is warming down her vocal cords after a show (atleast shows that I have attended the Meet&Greet) she is still switching between "clean voice" and a low "growl"... Kinda trippy.

The fact that many women these days sing metal music and growl at points, But in my humble opinion, Nobody does it with the ease and perfection that Tatiana does.... I think she is a once in a lifetime kind of vocalist.
No TATI is the Queen!! She is a highly educated school teacher and Poet and if you read her lyrics it is her poetry..
Her transitions (growl to clean and back) are insane and it's important to note this particular song is the last song in the set, and she still maintains the energy like it's the first song not many can pull that off
The fact that she can alternate from cleans to more harsh vocals so effortlessly will never cease to amaze me. Amazing control 🔥
Tati is a trifecta......Voice Quality+Raw Talent+Gorgeous Looks I simply don't see her equal out there anywhere. Yes, I am smitten.:)
Tati's clean vocals are powerfully haunting and ethereal.
We are all completely blown away by Tati. There are few humans, male or female, who can growl like that, and none of those can sing the way she does. One of the five or six greatest vocalists alive today, male or female, IMHO. But you should also give more love to the band. They are far beyond most historical rock bands in sheer musicianship (and I'm your age, I saw many of the classic rock bands in their day.)
Diana ankudinova is a young performer who shocks us with her pleasant voice and takes us into the abyss of events!!! Diana Ankudinova is unique and inimitable, goosebumps from her voice!=)))) Diana sings as if she lives in the song! The soul freezes or opens with Diana's voice.=))))))) I am a musician who has been with music for 40 years, and believe me, I have not heard such a tone in all these past years.

My opinion is Tatiana is exceptional. She changed my whole view about screams and growls and allowed me to finally get into those singing styles which opened up so much metal and rock music to really enjoy and appreciate. We are very lucky to have her and the amazing musicians in Jinjer. Another female singer who has amazing range and talent is Courtney Laplante. I strongly suggest checking out her one take videos recently released on TH-cam with her new band Spiritbox. Looking forward to your next metal reaction!

same, never liked them from anyone until I heard her. And I'd heard both singers from Arch Enemy and also Otep (who inspired Tati to learn to growl, incidentally). Blessed Be is a great starting point for Spiritbox.
Mike I've been listening to metal most of my life. 100% Jinjer is a once in a lifetime kind of band. The sheer talent in this band is absolutely mind boggling. You wanna have your mind blown again, check out Devin Townsend's Kingdom on EMG T.V or Deadhead Live at Royal Albert Hall. If you're a Steve Vai fan I promise you've already heard his voice. There are a lotta women that can do similar vocals but not as good or as aggressive as Tati , she’s just from another world
Her stage presence is amazing. Her gestures, from grand to tiny, always doing something; remind me of the way Freddie Mercury preformed.

Love seeing people (especially vocalists) discover Jinjer. Tatiana is just a ridiculous talent. They just dropped a live video of their song Teacher, Teacher which is amazing, so definitely check that out. For another band with a vocalist who does an amazing blend of cleans and screams, check out Spiritbox. I'd start with Rule of Nines.
You must hear Anneke Von Gersbergen. Wish You Were Here live. She is a dutch legend , the godmother of dutch metal. She is the reason Floor of Nightwish got into rock music.
We're all blown away by Tatiana's voice, it's hard to get used to
Tatiana is a Queen of rock.
I can't speak for others but Tatiana is, indeed, unique as far as I'm concerned. Not only is she top notch in all her vocal styling (growls, screams, cleans, belts, reggae) she is unparalleled in her ability to switch quickly and fluidly between those styles. Add in a great stage presence and her abilities as a lyricist... she is the Queen. Also, to my ear, she has a much bigger range and greater clarity on her growls than most. Here's some trivia for you: she has no vocal training, smokes, drinks, and never warms up.
But most of all, like you mentioned, I just love her voice, in *all* its many incarnations. Never liked growls until I heard hers. Keep up the good work.

Tatiana is pretty special. She's got the beauty and the beast all rolled into one. How she flicks in a split second between clean and dirty is freakish, especially live.
Heart should still be appreciated...
dont worry, even though we are jinjer fans and know what the band and Tati can do, we are still speechless every time lol. Who is gonna be the one (live) and Judgement and punishment one take vocals are 2 to check out next.
There are now a lot of women growlers but Tatiana may be the best. For her singing voice, she is my favorite and maybe best since Pat Benetar. She has a new one take in studio performance of "Judgement and Punishment" that is a different style and a must see. You looked like a kid on Christmas morning. Love it!

What she does is not all that unique, how well, how deep, along with her cleans is what sets her apart from the rest. Once you get over her vocals, you begin to realize how incredible the band is and you get even more blown away. Cheers on the reaction. I love the look on your face when Tatiana so smoothly went from that growl straight into her cleans. Priceless :)
Your comment contradicts itself. First you say what she does isn't unique but then you say what sets her apart. So, which one is it? Is she not unique or is she set apart?

Similar to other commentors I highly recommend Jinjer "Judgement and Punishment" Tatiana one take vocal performance and Spiritbox "Rule of Nines" Courtney LaPlante one take vocal performance. The singers are in a studio and isolated on camera. Also, for a different direction on amazing female vocals, you are missing out on Brittney Slayes from Unleash the Archers. Their song "Awakening" - full band playthrough video is the usual starting point. After that "Tonight We Ride", "Abyss", and "Faster than Light".
She really is one of a lifetime singer, so original.
Well hey now! About time! Glad to see more Jinjer! Check out their songs "On the Top" + "Pit of Consciousness" -- the official live versions, in Kiev! Great representation of the band's talent + her vocal range!
You are correct to be blown away by Tati. Jinjer as a band is incredible and her vocals are so surprising that a lot miss the fact that all 4 are at the top of the charts for their abilities. There are many women who sing well, there are quite a few that growl well, there are several that sing and growl well, but Tati is the pinnacle of that group. She is by far the best at this feat. So stay amazed and enjoy in my opinion.

It is like vocal Stockholm syndrome - we cherish tenderness so much more when it is juxtaposed against savagery. The combination Tatiana achieves is just intoxicating. But then Engel was always my favorite Rammstein song too, the feminine singing combined with deep vocals is just awesome. I never expected I'd find both halves in a woman, but Tatiana takes that dichotomy and cranks it up to 11.
While Tati isn't unique, she is extraordinarily exceptional. There are women who come close with the growls (Angela Gossow for example is arguably better in some ways, but not as good in others - more explosive, less flexible), and there are women who have better technical skills in clean vocals (Floor - though I'd still be more inclined to listen to Tati even if she was singing clean), and there are women who have a different angle on their art entirely even though their skills overlap (Otep, and IMO Courtney from Spiritbox and Lena from Infected Rain fit in this category). But even among the guys, Tatiana is one of the best growlers even if she can't get as low as the lowest beasts like Alex Terrible or Randy Blythe, still the amount of emotion she projects into her growls is second to none. And she flat out eviscerates 90% of male growlers on every level.
The vocal one-take video for Judgement & Punishment that they released last week is great too. Or if you want to see how brutal her growls can go, check out Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev (they'd upgraded their stage production, ready to make a big impact on the summer festival circuit this summer...ouch). Cheers!
Great comment. Yeah, Tatiana is something special. I don’t wanna say other women arent emotional in their music, but Tatiana really pours her soul into the music. For me, that is what makes her standout.
Jeffrey, YES on the Judgement & Punishment. But I would like to make a suggestion for that, do a double feature with the official video followed by the one take vocal performance.

@@dwarvensmith80 I've seen others do the official video and one take as a double-feature and it works quite well. Alternately, in the live at Melbourne video Tati is a bit low in the mix, while in the one-take she is high in the mix because she is the focus, so that would work well too. The official video is really well done, but seeing them on stage is always epic. Choices, choices. TBH, I'd watch a half hour long video with all 3 versions of the song and both the guitar and bass playthroughs haha.
@@j.f.fisher5318 The video for Perennial like that the one for Judgement & Punishment, very well done. I love the one take though, especially for those that say she cups the mic on her performances to get that sound. The one take, there is no doubt, none at all.
As for the playthroughs, it would be epic if they did a drum playthrough then did a mashup of the 4 of the videos together. You'd be able to see how each member goes through and reacts to the song.

I've been listening to Maria Callas since I was 7, Nina Hagen at 17 and Sarah Vaughn in my 20's. All exceptional in their own field and Tatiana is exceptional in her own. Plus JINJER, as a band, are very versatile and talented. Also the lyrics written by Tatiana are very significant, profound and poetic

You are correct, there's a bunch of bands like this that you've probably never heard of... but there's a reason why Tati and Jinjer are the most reacted to band on youtube currently... they are something special! They are not the first to do something like this, but they have a unique take on the style and they are all masters of their craft. I only recently came across your channel and it's by far one of the best "voice coach reacts" channels out there! I love people who can see talent even in music they may not listen to very often and you can tell you genuinely love good music no matter the genre. This is totally off topic, but what kills me about Tatiana, besides the otherworldly skills and the insanely strong stage presence, is her beautiful, heartwarming sense of humor, that constantly shines through, no matter how dark and fierce she goes on the surface. She seems to be such a special and unique human being. If you/anyone like Jinjer, I highly recommend watching interviews with the band. It will instantly make you love them even more. They're really deep, approachable, hard working and tremendously lovable people. Especially Tatiana, who 's on one side a creative force of nature with the power of at least 10 locomotives, but on the other side a 100% down-to-earth, funny, free-spirited girl next door, you just wish you had as your best friend. She's so inspirational. Also, I found the interviews very eye-opening, regarding where they're musically coming from. Truly fascinating band on every level.

Sure there are other bands and vocalists who do this, basically, but Jinjer and Tatiana are definitely among the very best.

Great reaction! Always fun and enjoyable seeing you react to new things. There´s joy, enchantment and pure love for music when you watch these videos and I love that! I am probably half your age but I love some of the acts you mentioned and others from the past. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Metallica, etc are legends on their own rigth, and some people just don´t know how fundamental they were and still are to music!
About Jinjer and Tatiana, there are other female vocalists that do this, but her skill, ease of switch, beautifull cleans and growl technique (you can understand a lot of it with just one listen) set her apart from the rest. And then she´s got an amazingly talented, original and technically brilliant band behind her that make all four combined one of the best metal acts in years.
At this day, Tatiana and Jinjer are untouchable by similar vocalists and bands.

there are some women who can growl, but I know none that matches Tatianas versatility and control. And the rest of Jinjer are outstanding musicians, too. The songs, the lyrics and arrangements are so cool. To me they belong to the great bands of our time. (I'm in love, as you might notice)
Caught them a few months before Covid threw a hand grenade into live music. The sound of the band live is just amazing. Absolutely top notch musicians all around and Tatiana is absolutely magnetic on stage. One of the best front men (or front women) out there. She had the audience was wrapped around her finger all night.
Want more Jinjer, after this and Pisces? Gotta listen to Teacher Teacher and, more importantly, her one-take vocal of Judgement (& Punishment). You will be blown away by both

Tatiana is definitely the whole package so to speak. She not only has the best vocal range out there, her stage presence is phenomenal. There are other female vocalists out there with growls, but none with crazy range of cleans, growls, and screams that she has. If you wish to compare, and contrast check out these bands with female growls: Infected Rain, Unleash the Archers, Otep, and Spirit Box.

People come and people go. I've unsubscribed from a few channels over time for one reason or another. 4, 7, neither are much to worry about. If he loses 500 from a video then he should worry. lol
Yes, it might have not have anything to do with the video. I have unsubscribed from some channels since I have felt I have too much to follow and not enough time. Sometimes I have subscribed back. I just don't like to have too much things to follow, because when I go to you tube and see that many people have posted videos and then I'll check what they have posted and I like them and find that I have too much things to watch. :)

The most amazing thing is not only her voice but the fact that she can sing like that live (only a few can sing like its from the album) and on top of that doing this at the end of the concert. She can really do everything with her voice.
She is one extremely talented musician without a doubt! She might be one of the most talented vocalists on the planet today!

She is truly unique. Jinjer is a transcendent band. Not one genre of music. They touch on 3 or 4. She is a Goddess

Man. I love Journey and Heart. I have seen Journey live in 1978. It was great! But I have grown along with the development of the different genres. In the late '70s and early '80s I listened to the NWOBHM and later on to thrash and speed metal. Now it's technical death metal and black metal. The one doesn't have to conflict with the other. Just enjoy what you enjoy and don't mind the busybodies. They don't matter.
