Actually, Eugene was not using a pick. He just has his finger and thumb together and it looks like he is using one, but he doesn't use picks. That guy is a BEAST on the bass. In this video, he looks like the love child of the Geico caveman and Jack Black. I can watch him play all day. Continue being blown away by Jinjer. We'll be back to watch :)
Edit: Watch Who Is Gonna Be The One live and their On The Top Live in Kiev and Pit of Consciousness Live in Kiev. Then check out their older stuff like Outlander, Scissors, and Exposed as a Liar. You just can't go wrong with their music. Cheers!

Yes. I recently asked him how it is that he sometimes appears to ‘manifest a pick from the ether’... he said he uses the tip of his index finger, braced by his thumb.

He's a monster on hammer-ons and slides too. It adds so much to their sound; compliments the guitar so well.
This show was just as Jinjer was beginning to blow up, and they had a bad time slot - something like 11 AM on Sunday morning. That's why the crowd is a little flat, and honestly it's impressive they drew so many.

Cool thing from this day though was Jinjer's live Pisces was the featured song for the Friday highlight video.
it was the first slot on "early" Friday morning 11am. On Thursday evening Sabaton performed their 20th anniversary show on both main stages ("Harder" and "Faster") while this performance took place on the third stage ("Louder") in the infield (or The Holy Ground). So i think it is a bit understandable that the crowd was not that energetic. I am very curious how the live streams will work out for Wacken 2020 and how this virtual stage will look like.
Keep the Jinjer train going. They never disappoint.
Teacher Teacher is another great one by them that shows more of her mix of styles. If you want another live performance 'Who is going to be the one' is awesome.

Who Is Gonna Be The One is sheer classic and Words Of Wisdom is one of their heavier songs musically when played live and all growls and belting vocally.
More impressive is that this is their last song and her voice is still flawless is a testament to the discipline of her vocal control.
The official video is cool too.
Jinjer is one of those bands that you can list to any of their songs over and over again and and it never gets old boring or anything like they're amazing and you feel the passion and drive and energy they put in their art it's the reason why I love this band they never fall to amaze and every time I hear the transition between Tatiana's beautiful cleans to her brutal lows I get the chills especially in pisces not many bands have that quality where you can listen on repeat and not get tired or bored of it

This was right after they played Pisces (you can tell when she says 'danke schön' at the start of this video and the end of Pisces). Jinjer Metal Band released Pisces @ Wacken live performance video a month ago. You should check it out! I love bands that don't do solos...the band is all!
They have quite a few very well put together official videos. Perennial has one. You would probably have a lot of fun with the official videos for I speak astronomy or judgment and Punishment. Most of them have an equally good live counterpart.

Doesn't matter to me, but don't be surprised if people start giving you crap for not watching the entire video. Viewers tend to love the little tidbits @ the end & I've seen many reactors take a lot of heat for cutting the last few seconds off no matter the artist or genre of music they're reacting to.

I think you are becoming part of the Jinjer family. I love watching other people discover and fall in love with them. Check out any of their other videos, they are all good!
And if you didnt notice in Pisces or in this one...he's playing a 5 string bass. I dont think I have ever seen him playing a 4 string. He has said that he plays the 5 in Jinjer because it extends the range of the bass since they only run with Roman on the guitar.

I'm here watching the post while trying on my golden jumpsuit and, I've got to admit, was hurt a little by the "no one else can rock a golden jumpsuit and look that good in it" comment. Way to kick a guy when he's down. ;-)

The bass player merely looks like he's holding a pick (much the same way Jeff Beck occasionally does), but he's completely using his fingers.
He's NOT using a pick! Egeune is one of the best bassplayers alive today :)

You guys need to react to Vintersea - "Befallen"! They are pretty similar to Jinjer but I like them way more! They are one of the most underrated bands. And they have the best female vocalist in all of metal!

Mat tha bass player is Eugene Kostyuk he don't ever use a pic when he plays. This dude is an amazing bass player who's been with the band since they formed in 2010
Strangely he seems to be mostly listed as Eugene Abdiukhanov but I do occasionally see reference to the surname Kostyuk so never sure which one it is. None of the current members are original members of the band (which formed in 2009). The last original member was Dmitriy Oksen, the original guitarist.
So I am the 420th like AYYYEEEEEE!
Gotta give a like and sub to fellow maggots as someone with Slipknot tatts myself.
Lastly, when all this chaos is over, do yourself a damn favour and watch Jinjer at a live show. Been watching live gigs for 2 decades and these guys absolutely are the best live show I have been to.

Tati is so gorgeous and I mean that in all respect of the word. But her vibe on stage; also the whole band. But like you said she can really be such an positive vibe towards the people in the crowd.

Her Ukrainian accent only comes out when she talks. There are tons and tons of interviews with her and the bassist, Eugene. He seems like the nicest and friendliest guy. The guitarist Roman and the drummer Vlad rarely speak, strangely.
Roman and Vlad struggle with speaking in English. Actually so does Tati at times, she looks visibly bothered a lot in interviews

Because we had no idea that was something people liked to listen to. That being said we're new to this reaction thing and going forward we now know to let it play out.

Then you should probably have let her finish talking if you like her voice so much ;) Just a tiny tip. Not all people like when reactors cut off the end of videos instead of letting them run out. Watch a lot of reaction channels and the hate and shit i see from people when reactors do that is insane. Just a little heads up ;)

My only critique for you is that you stop these videos before the very end of them; I hope you go back and watch them all the way through when you’re done reacting and just want to listen/watch them. Jinjer is notorious for twists and turns and surprise non-endings, sort of like.. “oh, but wait! There’s more!!” Great reaction otherwise.
If I remember correctly this was the last video we stopped before someone was done talking. We’ve come a long way since then. 😀
