Just got back into swimming last year after almost 18yrs away from the pools. Found my old Malmsten Swedish goggles and were using them. Decided to try and test the hype around Arena’s Cobras. I was super excited when I got a Cobra Edge and a Cobra Ultra on my last trip to America. First practice after the trip, got them Edge to the pool and I have to say, their broad line of vision is unparalleled. You can see far and around no problem! But, man, they were somewhat uncomfortable for practice. They make a very strong vacuum and got one of my eye sockets sore for two days. I was happy I had taken my good ol’ Swedish with me, lol. By the way, after trying my Cobra Ultra, I decided I have a new favorite google for practice! Sorry Malmsten. Great videos, Sonny!
Arena cobra ultras are easily the best goggles on the market. Even the old ones still bang I’ve had my pair for abot 7 years. And I will never change them racing from training. I think that the older ones are perfect priced! They last along time when looked after and I still perform well in them 7 years after purchasing the pink pair.
My son loves them but I prefer the Sweedix for training and races (same appreciation of the distance on the turns). Would like to see the swipe technology on Sweedix. Could you advice me for a small waterproof clock to use on the side of the pool for sets ?
Nice video. I have to say that the swedish style goggles are not for everyone. I always found them to be super painful and they always fell off, no matter how tight they were.
Hey Sonny, I just subscribed to your channel recently. I'm really enjoying your videos. I'm starting up swimming again after around 25 odd years as trained to be a lifeguard in my younger years , I'm basically doing it for exercise/fitness. I bought a pair of these Edge on discount in Spain for £67, Impulse buy and definitely could have went cheaper but hey why not ha ha. Quick question. I have the blue mirrored pair and see you have the blue and gold mirrored. How much clearer are the gold one? I can still swap my blue ones and was wondering if there's a big difference, I like the look of the blues and will be using for indoors and sometimes outdoors . Also as I'm starting back from scratch would you suggest some fins and hand paddles? Thanks.
Hey sony I know this isn’t related to the video but is the arena aqua force storm control position light as the mf and carbon air or is it not a flexible suit and it’s heavy

Someone please help, I bought these when they first came out. I was so excited to try them and BOOM. I can't do 10 meters without water getting in (especially when breathing on freestyle and during turns.). I've tried everything from changing many nose pieces and tightening them and making them larger and doing everything in-between. I'm so mad as the price is so high. I'm 13, could it be because my face shape hasn't fully developed? Also my cobra ultras fit perfectly and no water gets in so I am so confused. I really want to use these goggles as my main pair but I just can't now. Could it be a faulty pair perhaps?
@@TheSwimsuitGuy It seems as if on the corner of the eye (the outer part) there isn't a lot of suction and that's where water gets in. However the suction on the inner part is great. I even had a professional set it up for me. Perhaps I should send a complaint to arena?? I'm going to try this week in training again either these goggles as I really want to wear them for London regionals next weekend.
Where would I be able to make my own custom arena caps (my swim club doesn't make racing caps)

In Australia the cobra edge costs either $145 or $160 depending on the lens that you want

In my opinion I like the MP xceed but like the model that isn’t available. And if you have them they are worth 300 USD bcause they are a collectable

I’m not sure what to say?! Very surprising as they have similar shape to ultras but with more suction?

I like the Magic 5 goggle, while expensive, it is at least custom. It gives you something for the money. Not sure why these are this expensive.

One must always wear tinted goggles. It's just one of those unwritten rules of swimming.
