How did you do camera shot at the start of the video you and Jax walking but camera angle was out in front.? Another person holding the camera low, another selfie stick or ??
I put the gopro inverted on a telescoping selfie stick and put it out in front of Jax and I. I will actually be doing a Behind the Scenes video soon showing how I do everything in my videos very soon. Stay tuned. :)
On a cross-country bike ride I stayed in a campground in Maine and there were the weirdest sounds ever, loons and bullfrogs. Being from Washington State I had never heard anything like that. Is there any way you could record it? I've been following you for years. Thanks.
Eric, your ever increasing skills make you a great source of entertainment. I am a sub who comes back every few weeks to catch up and I’ve been delighted time and time again to see your camera techniques and editing skills evolve. You’re storytelling is dynamic. I see great things continuing for you.
Beautiful campground and absolutely excellent photography. What a peaceful place and so serene. Love seeing the video of Jax such a wonderful companion. Have fun and safe travels! 🙂
Eric, what did I tell you? I posted so many times you need to go back to Maine. Now look, you are truly at home bro. You belong there. When you get weary of constant travel and need a break, Maine should be the default place to boondock. Happiness!
Loved the time lapse bits and the in-depth look at your surroundings. Beautiful place! Also really enjoy the way you're so relaxed in your camping videos. Nice to see you and Jax having such a good time. =-)
Check Jax over carefully for ticks if you take him out into any brushy areas in Maine. In particular you want to look for deer ticks which are small (1/16" or so). THere is no risk to Jax other than local infections at the bite site, but if the ticks get onto you watch out. Also if you walk through the woods and brush up against any shrubs, grass, etc. check yourself. The deer ticks carry lyme disease.
Awesome opening sequence, Of course cool cat Jax is cool as always. Thanks again for the videos, keep them coming, plz. Thanks again Eric Sulen, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I would have to agree with the other comments about the tea tree oil and not citronella. Prayers for continued safe travels and once again thanks for the smile..you and Jax are awesome :)
Glad to see you get a chance to explore the great state of Maine, truly a wilderness paradise. The mesquitos are always terrible, but also be mindful of the poison oak and ivy. Otherwise than that, this place is mild. If your still in the area, hit me up and I can give you some great free camping locations. Enjoy!
Loved the video! Those lucky people get to camp with you! Thanks for all your videos Eric...it's a great way to start my day and puts a smile on my face...have a good one!
Nice campground. Made me miss the years I did camp and the smell of a campfire. The rain was great and the thunder. Haven’t had that in California in forever. Beautiful place. I would have just sat under the seeing and read and watched all around me.
Very enjoyable video Eric, loved seeing Jax out a walkin' , Ben's 100(pure deet almost) best bug dope ever. Thank you for sharing and nice seeing you camping with friends.
Eric... This is Dione and Michael from Ms Fitz's Adventures Where we are in the north west it is never more than 73 and never under 40. mostly 56 all year. We are on the coast in Northern California Humboldt County. The place is called Shelter Cove, we both are work camping here and we have never been happier. Fresh Salmon , Halibut, Clams Oysters Cod Caught every day. We are a sleepy fishing village nestled in the King range mountain ...We do have fog but no bugs. Hope you have safe travels Michael
Hi Eric and Jax. I'm a soap maker and feel that your reaction to the soap may be one of two thing. 1) you may have reacted to the tea tree rather than the citronella as tea tree is a very strong oil and needs to be used sparingly or 2) a percentage greater than 3% of essential oils was used in the creation of the soap. Oils can burn the skin ( a term for causing irritation) when too intense a concentration is used or applied. Lemon grass is also effective for use in keeping mosquitos away and is a slightly friendlier scent that citronella. Keep posting videos, we love them!
Nice spot you found Yup camping in the rain can be fun Then the sun comes out to a beautiful day Enjoy Maine It is a beautiful state Go up to Baxter state park/ awesome up there.Have fun
The wrap on your RV is almost a perfect match to the beautiful trees in the Maine RV park. You could almost be parked in the Maine woods and be completely stealthy. Maine is a beautiful state.
Agreed. Eric, check the label and see if there's greater than 5% tea tree oil. Too much and its caustic. 2% is a good amount. If it is in fact a low percentage, you may be allergic to the oil itself.
Eric, Try dryer sheets to repel Mosquito's. Wipe your bare skin with how ever many it may take. Then take a few and stick them in your shirt collar and let them hang out of your pockets. It worked for us when we were in West Yellowstone near a lake.
Yo bro. I live in central maine and have been looking into the nomadic life myself. Glad you could make it up dude hope ur havin a blast keep up the good work!
We stayed a month in Maine last year. A month is not nearly enough time, next time, I will spend 4 months up there. Our favorite place was Baxter State Park. While there, you can hike the Appalachian Trail to Little and Big Niagara Falls. It is a bit over a mile one way. One of my favorite days ever.
Looks like a good time Eric ! WE are heading up into the Adirondack Mountains this Friday the 10th for nine days of exploring Old Forge, Blue Mountain Lake, Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake , Lake Placid. Well you know so come and Ck it out you won't be disappointed .. Paul & Michelle
Hey Eric I'm Ethan and I live about 35 minutes from Portland Maine in North Baldwin and I love the videos of you and Jax kitty adventuring around the USA and Maine. I am also a fan of the route 66 vids! The mosquitoes are a pain in the a** up by the bog I live next to but tiki torches and bug spray didn't help them new state birds lol!!!
Love this video. Love this place.Maine has been on my list for a long time...Thanks for all the info and beautiful places. Be safe, Be blessed. 😉😀👍❤🇺🇸💙
Just love, love love this video start. All the camera angles from the different areas of the RV. May I say, this looks like any of the very high dollar produced RV videos showing their latest model, but better because we know its you caring about us getting top notch quality vlogs. The time lapse, music, RV shots and, of course "A Walk With Jax" portion combined to make this one of my all time favorites. 👍 I wondered if that soap would be ok. I'm allergic to citronella smell or tea tree oil. 😛 I admire you trying something more natural though. Well, have a great rest of your week, thanks for making my day with this video. I'll be watching that first part again at lunch to calm my day and live a bit vicariously. ✌👋👏👏👏
As soon as we saw you driving through the campground back road we knew exactly where you were! KOA FreePort ! We camp alot in Maine since living in NB Canada it's so close. Bob the owner is a really nice guy. Enjoy !!
Your RV looks so Awesome !! The campground looks very nice as well.. I am surprised you don't have a Million Subs ! you are getting great advertising with the wrap and, your Videos and info from traveling is Great Stuff ! Hang on .. It will happen ! Stay safe and keep up the Awesomeness !!!!
Other ingredients 75%, too funny =) I loved the beginning where Yoda just blended right in with the forest! And that was cool of you to take your friends camping to repay them. We had a good experience at a KOA up at Lake Erie. We tent camped with water and electricity, I told you I'm a Pittsburgh girl and I was a camping virgin ok so don't make fun.=) LOL If you have a sec I was wondering does Jax get scared of thunder? All of the kitties I've ever had were. One of the two we have now freaks out and hides behind the toilet in the cellar. Well stay safe guys and see yinz soon!!! Rikki =)
Loved seeing so much of Jax in this video. I would not have been able to shower with that Citronella soap either, if it's touching my skin, I have to use unscented everything! I could almost smell your campfire. 😉
Hi Eric, The Soap Sounds Like It Came From The Joke Store, Be Careful Of What People Give you When It comes To Soap or Food. Its always Nice To see Jax And The Rain.
yeah that camera work with jacks at first I thought you had someone helping you but then i realized you where holding a stick look good nice camping spot
Eric, in addition to checking the percentage of tea tree oil, check to see if it's made with coconut oil. Too much coconut oil can be drying to the skin (although it lathers wonderfully), which can also cause you to itch.
Fun to see you camping and socializing around the camp fire. Surprised you didn't throw some burgers on a grill but being a Bostonian I can't condemn you for a Boston Market dinner. Keep having fun.
Great video of Jax. You need to move the tiki torch away from the coach a little. The smoke is a bear to get off. Especially from the white on the cab.
Looks like a great place to camp!! Anytime you try a new product such a soap I'd suggest you do a small area test, I'm glad you were able to get the soap off your skin.
Stay tuned. :)
Ok now after you described, I see it. Very nice, I like the different perspective of ground level. Cool
Love your "How to" & "Gear stuff" videos. I'm about to be out there myself as soon as I can get a few more kinks worked out of the RV.
On a cross-country bike ride I stayed in a campground in Maine and there were the weirdest sounds ever, loons and bullfrogs. Being from Washington State I had never heard anything like that. Is there any way you could record it? I've been following you for years. Thanks.
Tuning stayed. LOL. Good can't wait to see a demo video. Really enjoyed this video especially JAX close-ups. Safe travels!

I am a sub who comes back every few weeks to catch up and I’ve been delighted time and time again to see your camera techniques and editing skills evolve. You’re storytelling is dynamic. Those woods are gorgeous, I was having a rough day but your videos always brighten my day
Beautiful campground and absolutely excellent photography. What a peaceful place and so serene.
Love seeing the video of Jax such a wonderful companion.

One of the happiest videos you have ever put out. Keep up that great state of mind!!!!
Pretty awesome campground, great video. Nice close up of Jax & you walking together.👍🏽😻
Hey Eric. Liked the video. Always enjoy seeing you and Jax. Til Next time: Happy Trails!

These are my fav kind of videos Eric... just Camping. In the woods by water, whatever, but just Camping. Great
Love watching Jax take you for a walk in the woods!
Was at Lilly Bay State Park this last weekend. On Moosehead Lake. GREAT park! Great rangers. GREAT stay!
Another really nice video Eric. Thanks for sharing your travels and adventures with us, we really do enjoy them.
Check Jax over carefully for ticks if you take him out into any brushy areas in Maine. In particular you want to look for deer ticks which are small (1/16" or so). Todd Dunn have Jax's check you in those private area for those ticks Haha !!!
Awesome opening sequence, Of course cool cat Jax is cool as always. Thanks again for the videos, keep them coming, plz. Thanks again Eric Sulen, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The composition of your photos are delightful. You manage to showcase your photographic skills very well. Enjoyed the photo-art you create.
I would have to agree with the other comments about the tea tree oil and not citronella. Prayers for continued safe travels and once again thanks for the smile..you and Jax are awesome :)

Nice campground, it's nice to hang with good friends every now and then.
Yay!!! The previous intro music is back! Beautiful photography and music choices, Eric. Me like!
Love the shot of you and jax walking!! And old intro tunes returned!! Yes.
Great video shots to start the vlog. Beautiful. A lot of my family used to live in Maine.
Nice campground. Made me miss the years I did camp and the smell of a campfire. The rain was great and the thunder. Haven’t had that in California in forever. Beautiful place. I would have just sat under the seeing and read and watched all around me.
Cool video Eric, Camera work keeps getting better and better every time! Keep up the awesome work!
Hi Eric, I Mean't To Say, Its Always Nice to See you, Jax and The Rain.

Great 👍 video Eric you seem happier around friends. Safe travels.
The wrap on your RV is almost a perfect match to the beautiful trees in the Maine RV park. You could almost be parked in the Maine woods and be completely stealthy. Maine is a beautiful state.
Nice campsite great video glad to see Jax getting some exercise
Great idea with the fire extinguishers Eric. Never thought of that. Thanks.
Nice that you are camping with friends too.
It's more likely the Tea Tree Oil is what you're allergic to, not citronella.
Elaine Marie thank you I was just about to put that up, I am too !!!
Agreed. Eric, check the label and see if there's greater than 5% tea tree oil. Too much and its caustic. 2% is a good amount. If it is in fact a low percentage, you may be allergic to the oil itself.

It's been my experience that a really strong fan is the best way to combat mosquitoes. They don't like to fight a strong wind.
Daniel, you are so right ! Mosquitoes and some other flying insects are weak flyers so a strong fan works great ! :)
Yo bro. I live in central maine and have been looking into the nomadic life myself. Glad you could make it up dude hope ur havin a blast keep up the good work!
Well done! You have good camera skills. (editing also) The best to you in your travels.
Great videos, tks for your hard work!

Wow & you have hook ups to Niiiiiiice!
I hate wearing bugspray, but l always use Deepwoods Off around here. It's the only thing that keeps the mosquitos and ticks away.
Tea tree can also cause allergic reactions. Perhaps both affect you.
Plus, tea tree oil is highly toxic to cats. Keep away, Jax!!!
that dish looks so good! i'm hungry. lol; i get the wedding tunes. i sometimes sing christmas music when i see a handsome guy.
As soon as we saw you driving through the campground back road we knew exactly where you were! KOA FreePort !

Love the Splash Mountain shirt bro! 👍🏻 Great photography as well!
The RV blends in good with the trees.
I love the music in the first couple of minutes of your video!!!!
Dude. Those Boston Market meals are hard on your black tank!!!

Good point about the fire extinguisher. Every vehicle should have one.
Loved seeing so much of Jax in this video. I would not have been able to shower with that Citronella soap either, if it's touching my skin, I have to use unscented everything! I could almost smell your campfire. 😉
Looks like the Durham KOA, it's a very nice place
You know Eric, except for little areas on the new wrap, you rig is very camouflaged out there in the greenwood...very nice indeed! 👍👌😎✌🏻
Looks like a good torch. Maybe a top tips & gadgets video would help out some of us less experienced adventurous folk
Hi Eric, The Soap Sounds Like It Came From The Joke Store, Be Careful Of What People Give you When It comes To Soap or Food. Its always Nice To see Jax And The Rain.
The perfect camping buddy
yeah that camera work with jacks at first I thought you had someone helping you but then i realized you where holding a stick look good nice camping spot
Eric, in addition to checking the percentage of tea tree oil, check to see if it's made with coconut oil. Too much coconut oil can be drying to the skin (although it lathers wonderfully), which can also cause you to itch.
Eric it could be the tea tree essential oil in that soap!
Yay, back to your old intro music!
Nice vid Eric. Enjoy my friend!
GOOD MORNING BEAST NOMADIC FANTASTIC ERIC JAX TH-cam VIDEO 🐈🐈
🌸Absolutely beautiful Eric. Oh 😯 wow, that’s a lot of mosquito repellents L🌸L.
Aww the Hyatt of the nomads.... I confess love KOA once in a while... when I stayed at a KOA and they delivered pizza to my site!!
Looks like a great place to camp!! Anytime you try a new product such a soap I'd suggest you do a small area test, I'm glad you were able to get the soap off your skin.
