You know why your videos work so well because you not only let his travel the country with you and see all the sides which is something most of us probably will never get to do but you have a great personality you're really nice guy and you make the videos really fun to watch thank you so much for that God bless you!
That Bago is exactly what the wife and I are looking to travel in when we retire. I'm pretty close to the mother plant in Forest City, IA. Love that you can walk through it without opening the pop out slide. Thanks for sharing!
We were there on the 11th of Sept. thanks to the video you did sometime back. We enjoyed it and was so cool to see all the oldies. Some of them I had experienced as a kid and I’m now 70. Thanks for that one and this new one
❤️LOVE these old RVs!❤️ Especially those beautiful old Spartans. A few years ago, I restored 2 _”Ro-lite Retracta-Wall”_ Travel Trailers (19’ 1971 & 17’ 1970). They were made in WI, all raw aluminum exterior, motorized hard-sided pop-ups. VERY hard to find info on them for the restoration process but managed to make it happen plus add some modern amenities (TV, Microwave, etc). Still wish I had the 19’😢 Did a ton of travel & camping with that beauty. *If anyone has heard of these, has any info, or actually owns one of these, please comment below so we can chat!* Thanks for sharing this awesome experience Eric!!👍👍
So glad you posted this, we are taking our fall road-trip from Toronto to Houston and we were looking for something to see along the way, this is perfect plus we can overnight. Thanks Eric!
I love my 5th wheel. I just took it to NYC this spring, stayed at liberty harbor in Jersey City. Its actually easier to manage than you might think. I was also concerned about wind gusts and passing semis when i first got it, but its very stable. More so than a bumper pull travel trailer. For my family size i love it. Ive gotten pretty good at backing it into tight spaces.
It was great to meet you at the RV museum! We were coming home from Lake Michigan on the Toll road and I looked over and yelled there is Nomadic Fanatic,! We pulled in and got to see your rig. We also walked inside the RV museum and met Eric. Wish we had know you were going to run into trafic. Would have loved to take you to our favorite Amish restaurant the Essenhaus in Middlebury Indiana. Great guy!! Safe travels!!
Eric, we were just at the museum a few weeks ago. Quite the place and wife and I both enjoyed looking at the early model campers. Brought back a lot of memories. In case you didn't know, Furrion is right across the parking lot and you can go in, ask questions, look at the latest and greatest and pick up a catalog to find the specs you are looking for. All in all enjoyed our trip to Elkhart! Oh, it rained on us as well. Guess we fall into the larger than life RV with our 39 foot fifth wheel. However, trucks don't move us when passing! Just thought I would mention that! Getting around isn't bad either!
When I was a kid, we used to have a smaller trailer with the tall kind of furnace you pointed out. The reason it is so big is it just uses convection and does not have a fan to force air over the heat exchanger. It put out a lot of heat and was great for boondocking. It didn't need electricity to work and put out a ton of heat. It would work great in a smaller travel trailer or motorhome similar to yours. I don't know about the gas usage but I would bet it isn't very effecient compared to a modern furnace.
Glad to see your back on the air been waiting for a new video...what a great stop!! Looks like an amazing place to visit. Can’t wait for your next video keep up the great work.
I spent my high school years living in a 40ft Concord trailer. It seemed big enough at the time . Now I am living get in a 27ft motor home. Hope to make it Arizona this winter. Enjoy your travels.
Hi Eric, Great, great video! Did I mention I really enjoyed your work, effort and commentary. It is a place I probably would not have stopped at, but now is on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing... a hall of fame for manufactured homes... wow. So this was the horses replacement. There was one camper from the 30s that looked like a duplicate from the movie "Grapes of Wrath." Later.
Wow!! So Awesome! Definitely on the list. Love vintage RV's....if only they could talk about where they have been....sigh. Thank you for sharing. Be safe, Be blessed. 😉😀❤🇺🇸💙
Eric thanks for showing us this. I live in Indiana and didn’t know that this was even in Elkhart Indiana. My husband and I are planning to make a trip with our 1974 prowler camper hopefully next summer. Our camper is needs a few updates but we still can use it in campgrounds. Anyway, thanks again. Love your videos. Vickie
I grew up in Elkhart. Lived on Simpson. My mom worked in sales for Coachman. Every year we would take vacation and deliver a new class A to Florida. Loved that shit.
Thank You. I really want to go to Elkhart Indiana to check out the RV Motorhome Museum. We live in the Hoosier State. We need to take the time to check this out. Enjoyed the tour. SAFE TRAVELS
Hey Eric. Its none of our business but I thought I would share that my hubby and I got concerned about you. You seem kinda sad and we wanted to let you know that sad or not, if you are ever in the Boise Idaho area, come find us and you and Jax are welcome for home cooked meals, company, and lots of cats and dogs! We mean it! Love your videos, you are awesome and we adore JAX!!!!!!!! Take care man!
I'm old enough to remember seeing most of those Silver Streams, lived in one in the fifties for awhile...cozy. Thanks Eric, we appreciate the work you put in to these videos. :)
My parents back in the 70’s drove out to Elkhart from Virginia to pick up a Concord camper that they ordered. I loved that camper! Thanks for sharing this! It was awesome!
Hey bud do your thing. Live your life the way you want to live. Love your videos and the drone views. Thanks for letting us into your life. I don’t have the balls to video my life and post it for everyone to see. Hats off to ya! Ha! Ha! Keep the videos coming.
I haul campers from the manufure in the elkhart area back to the dealer in minnesota. I drive right past this place every time, i checked it out after seeing your last video. Thanks for sharing.
You mention the issues of the 5th wheel, like going shopping. That is the beauty of a 5th wheel, you drop it and then just take your truck in to shop. It is like your scooter, except you have a full vehicle to drive around in and leave the RV parked wherever you want it.
You've got that heading home vibe going on. Safe travels and hope you beat any wintery weather on your quest. Notice how I just presume I'm right? LOL Whether I'm right or wrong I hope all goes without a hitch.
Hey Eric weI understand where you are coming from regarding fifth wheels, but once you get used to hauling one it's not too bad. While it may be easier for smaller RVs to get into some places we have been to many places around the country and have had no problem parking or boondocking. Plus we have three cats and they are happy with the space. This video was fascinating. Thank you.
Eric, I love your channel. I have been subscribed for a very long time but rarely comment. I cracked up when you said that Winnebago looked like pist-off cat because my Dad had that same Winnebago and I thought that too! Your channel is a bright spot on YT and all social media! Thanks for producing. PS: I wish you would have shown more about the 5th wheel.
Sorry Erik I usually don't comment but......I've owned all types of RVs, A, B, C class, travel trailers and 5th wheels. Hands down 5th wheels ride the best. Of course you need a good truck. There's very little sway when trucks pass by. Usually they don't pass me. I can go 70mph no hands. A C class WILL sway. You park the 5er then take truck adventuring/shopping. It's all good. Lover your channel.
That was fun. Thank you, Eric. Ikwym about the simplicity of a truck camper. I've had two in my life and it always amazes me when I'm inside one, that "all that" is in the back of my pickup truck. I find them to be topheavy when driving but otherwise, it's a great option. For me, being single, I won't go that route ever again. I think my next RV purchase will be some kind of bumper-pull trailer that I can tow behind a strong SUV. I want to be able to explore more than I have felt comfortable doing in my old Class C.
I am with you on the 5th wheel thing. If I were going to just go for short trips and then camp out for a week or two, fine. But as one who has crossed the US 6 times, I will take a motorhome every time over anything pulled.
Like the air stream. Just started first time in arve from Michigan to Alabama roads are terrible took us 12hours to get her . So hot 95 with 100 humity wow.
Great video Eric, I think that it would be fun to there. It would be like going back in time. As a kid i have seen most of them trailers and motorhomes on the road. Thank You for the tour. :)
I’ve always wanted to visit that RV museum. But now it’s too late,That tour you give made my day. The best to you and Jax. Stay safe, Be careful and Keep on rolling.
That GMC, my loins yearn for. I've always loved the shape of the old GMC. Now if they would only reintroduce the old airstream motorhomes. If only I had a million dollars.
Hi Eric. I am one of those guys you see with a huge 41 foot 5th wheel and with my rig I'm about 65 ft. long. Turning no problem you just have to know when to turn and when not to turn and parking @ Walmart is a piece of cake. As you know because of the length some of the places I can not go but that being said there are 100's of locations that I can stay with no trouble and as a bonus with my research I have figured out how to have full hook ups in beautiful RV parks and only pay about 4 dollars per night. You could call me a "Happy Camper"... :)
When I was very little my folks had a Spartan that we lived in for several yrs. had the striped canvas awning on it. Aaahhh memories and yrs later me and hubby had a ‘71 pace Arrow. It was only a yr old and we actually lived in it for awhile. Would love to have that again. He was in the Army and housing was always questionable. Lol lots of good memories. I would love to visit Elkhart museum and shop for a camper. I’m with you, those 5th wheels can be monsters. I bet some newbies don’t know if you are over a certain length you can’t get into some RV parks/campgrounds. So many things to take into deciding what works for some doesn’t work for everyone. Thanks for sharing the video!😉😁👍🇺🇸
That was really neat!
You know why your videos work so well because you not only let his travel the country with you and see all the sides which is something most of us probably will never get to do but you have a great personality you're really nice guy and you make the videos really fun to watch thank you so much for that God bless you!
Enjoyed the museum. Many small ones I would love to travel in.
But my fantasies are your reality. That’s why I love watching.
Nice tour, thanks Eric. I really enjoy looking at older RVs. It amazes me how many are still in use and how old some are. It's great!
That Bago is exactly what the wife and I are looking to travel in when we retire. I'm pretty close to the mother plant in Forest City, IA. Love that you can walk through it without opening the pop out slide. Thanks for sharing!

So glad you posted this, we are taking our fall road-trip from Toronto to Houston and we were looking for something to see along the way, this is perfect plus we can overnight. Thanks Eric!

#93 Good Morning, Eric & Jax. Thanks for showing us the Museum in Elkhart. I enjoyed watching you check out the RV History.

Thanks for the tour again Eric
😉🙏✌💞😺💞👍👏😊
LOVED the tour!!! Thanks Eric!!!!
Very cool museum, will have to stop by it some day, I love all those old vintage rvs, they look super cool.
Gosh Jax looked so cute . He was enjoying a rest . Can't interrupt Jax
Resting time
Those earlier campers were definitely for true adventurers! ⛺️🏕

That was really cool going through the campers 😎the 42footer my grandmother lived in one when I was a kid brought back memories 😊

Loved the tour. I was just there the end of July. Loved it. Arrived the night before and stayed in the RV parking lot.

Love the RV history.
Great Video and Definitely A Cool Place to Visit!

I like the old browns too, plus the new RVs just seem cold were the older ones seems warmer ambiance

Thanx for the tour! That tiny Airstream was my favorite. Take care.
Enjoyed the tour....thanks!
Eric, Jax
Nice video it ain't bad in the 5th wheel. Dont give up on the magnets. One on my favorite things to collect.
Peace Luke T
Very nice tour! I had no idea this place existed and will be sure to stop at it if we are ever in that area.
Totally worth it. I've now visited 4 times in total. One of my favorite stops, and it changes every year a little bit.
So cool! Thanks for sharing that museum with us!
Very cool museum, I want to go there!

Totally agree, fifth wheels are the best. More room, easy to tow. I call it our little apartment on wheels.
Oh I went with my dad to the hall of Fame and it was amazing. Hope you had fun!!
Man, I need to check out that place, super cool.
You can take pictures of your magnets and print them on paper to reduce weight. Photo album or posters to display them.
Thanks for the tour.

Stay out of Maryland, they love giving tickets for max length violations, their backward ass rules max you out at 60'

NICE TOUR
Cool old trailers!
