There’s a mod that lets void splash damage have a chance to spawn warmind cells, so this can create them like crazy, each projectile hitting an enemy has a chance to spawn it.
Good idea!
Also works insanely good for the waveform grenade launcher you get from the season of the hunt activity.
i just got the deathbringer and was trying to get 400 kills cause i thought it would then drop the catalyst tnx for clearing it up mate

I got the catalyst of Deathbringer last night from the NF strike - I didn't even know it existed... I thought it didn't. Was it introduced with the new season patch? Happy to see it, although due to the way it works it's not really an RL for single target dmg, but for crowd control. Based on what I am reading about Eyes though, I would probably choose it over Eyes.

I've done a bunch of nightfalls without getting any catalysts that im missing
I don't think Deathbringer is a great option, tbh. Sure, DB can display one of the craziest damage outputs, but everything has to be perfect. I think it'll be better to just grind strikes for royal entry with clown.
I think it's great for crowd control so the new Override activity is a good place to use it but pure damage that isn't as slow as my fat ass getting out of bed pick something else. #Deathbringer

Bummer it is not meta. One of best looking weapons they have ever released.
It's the highest DPS weapon at the moment, and that's even without a perfect setting or dps buffs.
@@The261ride It needs a pretty perfect setting. Its droplets are rng and have a hard time tracking a solo target if there are ads, and even without not all of them always hit. It performs even less reliably on moving targets that simply move towards you at normal speed. so unless you compensated correctly for rng movement it will mostly miss. we'll see come "day 1" and the weeks after for the youtube and stream lords to tell us what is best so the meta can develop despite solid options. There is nothing wrong with slightly lower dps that brings consistency. Plus boss dps is not all that's needed. I have seen plenty of players have the meta dps loadout when dsp launched, but could barely stay alive because it was not a good set up to deal with ads, champions, etc. Oh, and yes I have the new catalyst. It is still not an all purpose weapon.
@@legi0n47x I just got the catalyst last night and yes, bosses that move around a lot makes you have to be a bit more careful with it, but it's not a difficult adjustment. It's very very good for add clear and single target dps now. The bolts barely have to be above their head, and even when only half the bolts hit, maybe even less than half, the dps seems to be better than my legendary rockets, whisper, and 1k. I don't have anarchy, but from what I've seen on the tube, this hits a lot harder than anarchy with a shotgun switch even without all bolts hitting and also not at maximum distance. I'd say it's worth it.
@@The261ride both have good set ups for dps and add clear. For me anarchy is more universal because it has much more ammo for what you get out of it, can effectively counter champions, and is easy to use. deathbringer is useful at times sure, but for me and many others not having to be as careful, especially in hectic scenarios, and pump out damage is its own benefit no matter the weapon being used. You will love anarchy should you acquire it. It literally can carry you in higher end solo content. I don't care about its dsp damage set up. It's great all by itself and is one of the unique weapons that is actually good.
@@legi0n47x yeah that's one of the only reasons why I want it. I like the idea of being able to shoot and forget so that I have more time to do something else. However, if this vog is anything like the original, then I would assume that deathbringer would be great since there won't be adds during the dps phases of boss fights. But, that could change. Honestly, I'm just waiting for the day when 1k voices gets to be top tier dps. It was upsetting to get that weapon the 2nd week of Last Wish just to see it being the 4th or 5th highest DPS. Probably was lower than that
it seems good but deathbringer is going to be beat out so hard by the senergy of the new gl debuff mod with anarchy
You can use the waveform grenade launcher from the season of the hunt activity to debuff AND use deathbringer + you can spawn warmind cells with them with the new mod of this seasons artifact with both weapons.
Am i crazy or did i not find out how to actually get the catalyst
