Cable management is not terrible. You recommend using some color coded Velcro ties to keep device transitions easier?
If you are a true user of vertical screens, you that setup is bs or at least, a very annoying, inefficient height. Good video tho.
I tried using an LG 5K display vertically because I saw it in one of your posts. Since I switched it I love it. So usable and saves a lot of desk space

Nice configuration, in terms of power, capacity and beauty. As always the video is beautifully and professionally edited. An important consideration is offsite storage. If will be even better if it's offline, but office has the issue of practicability. One option is tape, the other collocation, cloud (for many prosumers cloud is too expensive), collocation (a good alternative) and collocation at grandma's home.

Do you also keep all of the source footage and files after you are done with videos? I’m curious about how much you delete vs keep forever. Especially since the final product exists on YT. Are more personal/sentimental videos different than some other videos?

Have you thought of using LTO tapes with LTFS for archive? I haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet, but I’ve been thinking about it for cold storage of old stuff.
You're best off using archive class hard drives and swapping them around every few years. Tape physically degrades if not properly stored and the capacity is rather limited compared to hard drives. Not to mention the decks are crazy expensive.
@@TalesOfWar tapes are higher capacity (or about equivalent) and cheaper than hard drives. That’s why people use them. LTO is rated for around 30 years shelf life if you store them in a normal climate controlled environment. As far as drives being crazy expensive, depends on what exactly you are buying but a single LTO8 drive in a thunderbolt enclosure is about $5k. Tape media varies depending on quantity and brand but you’re looking at around $60 for a 12 TB (uncompressed capacity) tape.

Like the setup! Agree with portrait monitors. I use two UPerfect 4K displays with 2019 MacBook Pro in center position. OWC definitely options really help round out I/O.
Since you are using the Studio rather than the Mac Pro for your video work, when you are back to traveling and editing remote from you desk, have you invested in a portable display setup? The three display setup really is needed with what you do. iPad can work in a pinch but can cause eye fatigue.
Take care of yourself with travel and make sure to take your Eliquis.

I have the OWC MiniStack. I like it, but the fan has become more noisy and noticeable the more I use it. Otherwise it is a great addition to any Mac Mini (or Mac Studio) setup.

The studio display does have a beautiful screen. Very crisp. And the camera, speakers, etc built in... very nice. The build quality is true to Apple. Id almost buy one too, if it worked with my PC. Lol.
