They would sound as they say boxy.. Not really quality sounding.. The reason why desktop or computer speakers we call satellite speakers aren't capable to produce quality audio because it impossible to downscale the electronic curcuitry like a audio amp on a pci-bus card... 😊

Nice speakers! I actually have those same kanto speaker stands, they make a 32” version that will be a better fit or you can always wall mount the speakers. Welcome to becoming an audiophile, it’s a rabbit hole like no other!

So thrilled with all your success over the years. I've been following you since your 300 page ATT iPhone bill. I must admit I'm shocked you were using the Studio Display speakers! I use them for watching TH-cam, etc. but when I edit or watch something critical I switch to a DAC/amp powering external speakers.

Ahh! I'm working on my own studio build out right now, so this is so inspiring! I'm so excited because I have an A-Roll room, B-Roll Room, Gaming/Living Streaming Room, an editing and work space, home workout space, and a home theater room. I can't wait until it's all built out. I love your new angles and how flexible it is to get multiple sets. It's so clever!

Man, i remember when Jonathan used "SoundSource" to use the volume controls on the keyboard! And now i learn that the Apogee soundscards are making this possible as well!? Damn it Jonathan! We need more updates on your studio! I know he loves Genelec's! I've been loving the Genelec's as well even before! I have a pair of 8040's. But i'm going to look in to an Apogee soundcard to be honest. Soundsource was nice in the beginning but when you update it, it could have high volume outputs and your speakers might have a loud "pop." So i stopped using it about a year ago.
At the moment, i'm using an Apollo twin X from UAD but the lack of internal keyboard controls do drive me crazy from time to time. 😅
Anyway, nice upgrade for sure!

My favorite part of your setup is the colored lights. They look amazing. Could you fill us in on which ones exactly you picked up beyond the basic keylight setup? Also, when I grow up I hope to have a giant vertical monitor on my desk too!

If you really love the sound of those speakers, you should def get a pair of studio headphones from Audio Technica you hear everything in detail well balanced also. I have had my M50X since 2017 and not broke them at all but, 2 cables. But you can easily buy new ones because they have a lock on the cord. It has been years but seen some of your content because of Nadeshot.

Great tour. Next up get some sound treatment and place your studio monitors so the tweeter is at ear level. Space them apart so, your head makes an equal distant triangle between you and the speakers.
Quick question - How do you get footage off your cameras? Physically remove the card, USB, external recorder?
The reaction to the genelecs! 😁 They are really that good, i had the same reaction to my baby ones. You should try out sitting in the sweet spot to get an even better experience, make an equalatral triangle with yourself and the monitors 😊

I was just thinking... You know what might make more space? I actually have a tube stretching wall spreader up on my ceiling. That way the only thing on my floor is the camera and my furniture. That might help with the floor clutter. The studio looks great though!
