I bought one of the first available cars in 2012 and haven't regretted it for one moment. By far the most satisfying car I've ever owned. It might be time for the M140i 🤔
got the m140i and love it! it has many different personalities based on the drivers mood which really makes the car for me. iv had the a45 and golf R, would take the m140i all day long
Lovely to see a kiwi carlover reviewing awesome cars =) Specially the M135i/M140i, it's probably the last of its kind in an evermore engine downsizing world. You have some great roads down there to enjoy this car as well! Cheers, a kiwi fan from the Netherlands
😂 Joe your cropping up everywhere, this guy would love a passenger ride from Ricky. The M140i does come with Jesus handles in the passenger seat right?
I must say - I have never had a steering wheel feel like like whole string of sausages, all the way around. Apart from that little conundrum - a great review of an awesome car - keep up the great work!
Well Scott, I guess you should keep your fingers crossed that one day you get to experience the digital delight of a sausage-string-steering wheel. It’s something very special, I can tell you! Cheers for watching. Blu.
I have to disgree with you about the infotainment screen ;) I really love the design of the screen and that is placed there and somewhat an external screen and not integrated into the central control. They had that with the E Generations of BMW and removed that for reason - it was aged and not stylish. About the Audi with the Slide Up Screen - the screen is fairly small and it's a simple square - the BMW has an unique design which it eye catching. Also when the screen is slide-in the dashboard looks so empty - almost terrible. My cousin has an 2017 Audi - it is a long hatch could be the A4 Avant or A6 but I never asked. I drive the 2016 BMW F20 1-Series :)
You can also see that most car manufacturers that had a screen in the center control integrated - move their screen upwards and adopt the design of an tablet. The 2018 Ford Fiesta, Mercedes A Class, 2017 Hyndai i30 just the examples of the compact class to name a few.
I too have bought one 3 year old but only 13 ķ ...hoping car will be fairly bullet proof ....its a auto really enjoying not shifting manually...love the Jekyll and hyde this car can bring...from docile to trying to rip your ears offf...
Never trading mine in! Can't stand the sound of all the 2.0T fart boxes on the roads. Went to view a 330i and realised they have put a 2.0 4cyl in it, but kept the 330d as 3.0... Sad times.
+CarNut .kiwi Had a drive in the redline. Quite impressive all round! Drove amazingly, very comfortable to be in. Well laid out. Only faults I could see if being very very picky....I don't believe the back seats fold down(extremely handy for road trips and moving larger objects bigger than a boot) and for me personally, as this is just a person to person thing rather than "a fault", much much much too quiet. Even with the bi modal exhaust turned on you'd have no idea you were in a v8 cruising around. You really need to plant your foot to hear her purr. I'm guessing a lot of people would like this to be honest. But just for me personally I'd like to have at least a tiny indication I'm in a v8 even when just cruising along, especially in the redline version if nothing else. But as I said that's being very picky, it's a great drive! It's on the Wishlist now for sure haha.
The m135i is a really fun car to drive, if you are crazy enough to modify one it gets even more wild! Have to say I absolutely love mine so far, the infotainment screen on this spec sucks the larger screen definitely makes it feel more complete!
Only thing I’ve had malfunction in mine is the charge pipe. It’s originally a plastic part that gets brittle with age and tends to break at the top. Replaced with an alloy item which appears far more robust. Otherwise, all’s well and these cars are highly recommended.

Thanks for these reviews... In my opinion they are second to none... Keep up the excellent work.
Thumbs up on that well put together review, loved the outside car shots, well done kiwi!
Thanks Alan. Glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers for watching. Blu.

Thanks DG. Glad you enjoyed the vid. You’ll have a fun time and in the M135i. Enjoy! Blu.

HI Blu. I have a GT mustang and am considering a m140i so enjoyed both your reviews. It is good to see NZ roads and hear an NZ accent on a car review.
very nice review. think I'm a bmw convert!
Thanks very much. I went and bought one myself, if that’s any help! Cheers for watching. Blu.
Great car! That’s why I own one.

RIP 'big engines in small cars' ............

RIP big engines in big cars 🙁.
Even in the 4-series only the performance models get a petrol engine bigger than 2l / 4 cylinders.

Awesome mate! Cheers for the t-shirt too btw, got it in the mail couple of weeks back 👍🏻

Is there any problems to look for with these cars ?
