Cheese Pancakes For Breakfast

  • ‪@VrouwOlle‬ This is a base recipe. Perfect for breakfast. It can be varied by adding and combining different ingredients and seasonings. So, use your imagination.
    You can use milk instead of Mozzarella cheese water.
    In this case you need 250 ml of milk.
    You can make these pancakes without Mozzarella cheese. Then, you need 150-200 g of grated cheese (a semi-hard type of cheese for example Cheddar, Gouda, Emmental etc).
    Also good with spring onions or dill.
    This is important:
    1. Properly preheat your frying pan, high heat (for a gas stove it takes about 1-1,5 min, for an electric stove it may be take more time). When the pan is heated, add oil.
    2. Cook with the lid on top, low heat, 3-4 min each side.
    3. Serve immediately.
    What You need to make 2 cheese pancakes:
    egg 1
    all-purpose wheat flour = 1 cup* (about 150 g flour)
    whole milk 175 ml + Mozzarella cheese water 75 ml = 1 cup
    OR whole milk only 250 ml = 1 cup
    Grated cheese 100 g
    Mozzarella cheese 125 g
    Italian herbs seasoning
    salt to taste
    olive or sunflower, or vegetable oil 2 tablespoons - to grease the pan
    and a little bit of butter to smear hot pancakes
    *My pan is 24 cm and I use a cup 250 ml.
