  • Dr. Klaper offers health advice on beetroot powder and beetroot health benefits. He tells us that beetroot powder uses include helping lower blood pressure and blood oxygenation for endurance athletes. It is better to include eating beets in your plant-based diet rather than taking beetroot powder capsules.
Question: Do you think beetroot capsules are beneficial?

Beetroot sandwiches were a favourite of mine as a child. Still are. Grated raw beetroot (with a tad of lemon juice) in a kebab is always good too.

@@ludicrousone8706 Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't do "hot" spices. I cannot handle anything that burns the mouth like that, or wassabi, pepper, chilli, etc.

Be careful with high oxalate content of beets. My first and only kidney stone showed up after a few weeks of daily 6-ounce glass of beet juice before workouts. No fun!!

citrates in lemons will stop this stone formation in gall bladder and kidneys ,,also plenty of H20 to flush out kidneys
