FIRST! So guys technically the 3x monitors for this setup actually cost about $500 BUT you'll need adapters & likely more cables which increases cost by $50 or so. ~$165 for a narrow bezel 27", 75Hz, true IPS panel is pretty good for a brand that actually has customer support though. If you know of any other monitors you want us to check out that may be even better for about the same price, hop into the comments!
The monitors should have come with the needed cables so those you shouldn't even need to purchase but the triple monitor stand tho can be a bit expensive depending on the features you want.
I work from home for a tech support chat service, and I could not live without 3 monitors! Right now they are just 3 random monitors that I had laying around so they are all different sizes and resolutions, but these monitors look like they will work perfectly for what I need, plus a little bit of gaming on the side. Thank you for looking at these monitors, will be picking them up asap!
I've been using a triple monitor setup for 7 years now. I'll never go back to anything less. It isn't necessarily about the gaming because I play very few games using all 3 panels. It's about productivity for me. Being able to have multiple windows/applications open across three screens is very useful for me when working.
When I did my first triple monitor setup I used 3x Acer K242HL 24 inch HD monitors, they cost £89.99 each. Worked out less than £300 for everything, was great.
i had a triple monitor setup for several years, switched back to a 34" ultrawide back in late 2017. you will also notice some games will mess up your 5760 by 1080 resolution,
They're not different heights, they're all angled so the right side is taller than the left. I have monitors like that, it's less appealing, but still good for a side rig
@@enriquecabrera2137 There's no purpose to it, it's just when the stands and/or monitors aren't aligned super well in production. In essence, it's what you might get out of cheaper monitors.
Thank God I'm not the only one who realized this! There was no way that the heights would decrease in such a way. If he were to take the 3rd monitor (the "shortest" one) and place it in the middle, it would be the same as the 2nd monitor. C'mon HWC, let's try some troubleshooting before we throw some claims out like that. But I do agree that it isn't appealing.
Your clear professional delivery inspired my son , myself, my wife to build 3 working computers. I did a quad monitor setup and its an amazing flight simulator....you gotta see, TH-cam video .....New Ultra Clear Bezels for Multi-Monitors.
I actually use triple monitor setup, I use 4K monitor Samsung U28E590D in the middle and 2 1080p BenQ GW22700H at both sides and I am happy with it. It's quite distracting when monitors are not same size but I got used to it.
Man you go in to details and we appreciate you and your channel you deserve alot more subscribers and I will tell people about your channel keep up the awesome work
I have been using the same three monitors for four years now, and they work great! The cheapest 27' AOC monitors I could find put on a cheap "Igloo" stand. I actually can mount another monitor along the y-axis, but instead I have raised the three monitors to a good height that fits well with the standing desk that I am using it on. It leaves for good cable management, and my largest issue is the mechanical sag - Because the monitors are so heavy, the swivels dip forward a bit, but it is nothing I that bothers me. Performing small adjustments is rather difficult, but I have it fixed to a setting I like, and it rarely needs any attention. Most of the games that I play that take good use of the extra monitors work, but I have little problems with being forced onto the middle monitor. The worst is the games that stretch or scale improperly when being full screen on a single monitor - many Unreal games seem to have that issue.
Facepalm all monitors now are crap, what you use now? Go back in time, stay on HD Ready for ever, not needing any HDR 1000 ever ever ever..... Today's monitor are all crap!
1080p @ 27" really isn't that bad. I've been using BenQ monitors of that configuration for a few years now and I can't see the pixels at all. I have to lean over my desk before they become apparent.
If you don’t already have high standards, I recommend huge 1080p monitors. I have two of basically these monitors at the moment, with my better-than-potato Linux machine. Now I’m no gamer, but I’m in Highschool and college simultaneously and LET ME TELL YA! This is a productivity B E A S T. Best monitor choice for folks on a budget, hands down. I’m looking to get another one soon, actually. I have one vertical for long documents and textbooks (and discord chats lol)
im buying a monitor this one looks amazing i game and make music so its perfect and i dont need the top spec monitors because a couple downsides wont stop me from enjoying a budget monitor like this
I got a 3440x1440 and 2 900x1440 monitors in Portrait mode, so its basically 5240x1440. Got the two Monitors for 20$ and the middle Ultrawide for 400$ So in total 460$ for a 1440p Triplescreen Setup is pretty sweet :)
I always wanted a triple monitor set up but now I am leaning more towards a single Ultra-wide monitor. It seems more realistic and versatile. You essentially get close to three monitors in screen real estate but without the bezel. Of course, 3 monitors might be better for productivity but for media and gaming ultra-wide might be better. Not too sure how many games support ultra-wide though.
I had a 5 monitor portrait setup for a few years... 5250x1680. It was good at first, less a few screwball issues. Then I installed Windows 10 and it’s been downhill since. I find as time has gone on, it seems like fewer and fewer games support ultra wide res and the NVidia drivers get more and more buggy with it. Not to mention that multi-monitor isn’t something I recommend trying with TN Panels (viewing angle). If you’ve got the cash for a good enough GPU and IPS panels, it can be a fun experiment, but not really much more than that. It’s definitely not something for the faint of heart. I finally ditched my setup in favor of a single 32” panel and a second portrait aux monitor for web page viewing.
I have a 3 screen setup a 1080p TV to the left, 1080p monitor in the centre and a 16:10 1680x1050 DVI-D Monitor to the right and all 3 work just fine, I needed just 1 adapter and that was a Display Port to HDMI due to my Graphics card not having more than 1 HDMI, if I had VGA somehow like just VGA or DVI-A then I would not have needed to purchase any adapters, I may be able to get a secondary Graphics card Just for 2 of my screens
@HWKs I run a pyramid with 3 24inch and 1 27inch The top monitor is hooked to Cable TV the 27 is for gaming, but I'm still 1080P all around. I have all monitors from ViewSonic, all are 1080P, and all are IPS. I extend the desktop on the 3 monitors, but I don't like running games in surround, is what Nvidia calls it. It is either on or off and I don't like my browser spread across three monitors. I extend the desk top which gives me three monitors to use. I have an SDR hooked up on Right monitor waiting for Cuban english speaking to come on, left monitor has two applications open and center is TH-cam. Alis the monitor stand lets you adjust down and up to get level lines with each able to tilt how you want.
Philips makes great 21.5inch monitors for about 80-85 bucks a piece. These also make for a great triple monitor setup, they're also vesa mountable. So if you factor in a good mount for ~100 bucks you got a killer triple monitor setup for about 350.
Ive been running a triple display setup for many years now, originally eyefinity on a pair of radeon HD 6950's in crossfire. now NvSurround on a 1080ti. both create a single, virtual 5760x1080 display within windows. the displays i use i bought many years ago, are old, LG E2381's which are basic, 23 inch, TN, 1080p, 60hz displays that i chose due to the brushed look bezels, and the OSD controls being capacitive on the monitor base. so i would not disturb the displays positions, as they also lack pivot and height adjustment. all three displays were within 1 mm of height relative to each other. the wall of displays is always good to use, and i have huge, screen real estate for whatever im doing. and while gaming on 60hz displays is... well, gaming on basic 60hz displays i primarily play MMO's and do not often play frantic hectic shooters. that said game support for a triple display setup has always been the achillies heel of a setup like this. some games work well, like dirt 3, destiny 2, other games like over watch and mobas dont support it due to an unfair advantage it gives you. tending to require windowed mode, or just having two monitors black, showing nothing when you game. other games behave poorly, dead by daylight(a popular game with my friends) does start, but the game appears simply stretched out in width and height. and then the top and bottom third are cut off. again, due to a desire not to let people have an advantage over other players. for games that just dont work with a triple display setup i will usually have to kill the setup, and then re-enable it later. and then have to re-sort all my windows out as disabling and re-enabling nvsurround liked to reset window positions for everything. presently im researching for a new monitor, and while i know it'll be hard loosing all the screen space, and the peripheral vision in wow, and ff14. im planning to go to a single large, high refresh, high resolution display, and reclaim my desk.
honestly, what crap u use now? Most gamers do ultra small HD ready crap, stay on HD Ready for ever, or go for that OMEN '65 TV thing? $2499 ROG monitor? $600 is never enough, old crap.....
I bought 2 New 29inch LG ultrawides for a dual ultrawide setup. Was nice until they both stopped working(a couple months apart from each other). Right after the 1 year warranty. Ill never buy a LG monitor again. So disappointed. Now im watching this video to figure out what to do next. This monitor caught my attention because of the 4 year warranty....
It would take one small sheet of plywood, a saw, a measuring tape, and some silver spray paint to make shims for the monitors to sit on that would bring them all to a flush height. Few bucks and you get to do some handiwork too!
Had triple monitors for a good few years now. Great for gaming and handy for productivity. I have old 24" monitors though and only 1080p at 60htz so would love new modern ones. Mainly use only the middle one for gaming atm though but love using all 3 for racing games and stuff like star citizen and elite dangerous are awesome with the field of view.
Nice look on the monitors, I have been running three monitors system for years but mainly for work and school I’m a cad designer and instructor at a college
I have built mine for about $500 including all the cables and the stand. Used somewhat cheaper monitors, HP 24w. Using the setup for productivity and sim racing.
Have had a triple monitor setup for a couple of years now, I would recommend it for the productivity and how cool it can be playing on three screens at once. My setup has 3x ASUS 144hz tn panels which I wouldn't fully recommend for triple setup as the viewing angles can be a better. Also the bezels really get in the way of the game imo, but still dam cool. For a triple monitor stand I would recommend an Ergotech triple monitor stand, they aren't cheap retail price ~$180 however I managed to find one on offerup for less then $60.
I had a triple monitor setup when BF3 was released. It was great but now that I use an ultrawide with high refresh rate the experience is better than 3 1080p monitors
I would love to see more setups including ultrawide monitors. I'm currently using a Dell U3415W 34" monitor with a 27" as a secondary monitor. The ultrawide is amazing for gaming and I could never go back.
So I have a 3 monitor setup. Rocking 3x LG34UM57 ultra-wide monitors. Just upgraded my system with a RTX 2080TI. I have only tried setting up surround once and it worked ok, but was not as ideal as it could be. Nvidia needs to work on their surround support.
@UCh9MeEH-jg-09WiqIkA3Gnw Go back in time, stay on HD Ready for ever, not needing any HDR 1000 ever ever ever..... Today's monitor are all crap! All they produce are $2499 ultra small, or $10 000 HP OMEN TV's, just wait 10 years, keep the HD Ready bullshit!
I'm still working on my tri-monitor setup. I think i need 2 external graphics cards to boost the other two screens. I'm running acerG195w's, accell hdmi2 connector and a low end hp laptop.
Let us see a benchmark for a budget pc on these budget monitors , sth like i5 w/ 1060 or 1070 , just to see what kind of performance a triple monitor budget setup would be
I went from Asus VN24s to Samsung curved 1800R CF390s 27inxhers and it's great! For productively, racing, and elite dangerous. And eber please use a controller PS4, XB1, XB360, when racing. Dirt Rally isn't a browser flash game you play with arrow keys. It's not a racing wheel, be it's better than keyboard.
I have a triple monitor system set up with Nvidia surround (paired with a GTX 980 Ti). For a lot of games, it's breathtaking, especially simulation games (Elite:Dangerous, Project Cars, and Assetto Corsa all come to mind). Monitors aren't the fanciest (2x BenQ VP2210-LED 21.5" displays and Dell, uhm... Something. 22", E2213H apparently. Set up as 21.5/22/21.5"), but they do the job. Such a pity that those displays are lacking a DisplayPort, since most cards nowadays have several of those, and like you said, just the one HDMI port (or two if you're lucky). For surround/eyefinity gaming, WSGF (Widescreen Gaming Forum) is an amazing resource for setup tricks, workarounds, and general info on how compatible games are, plus they used to sell a really nice triple and even 3+1 monitor setup stand. I say "used to", because they're waiting on Ergotech to release the 130 series, since the 100 series is effectively no more. 27" 1080p is tempting, especially due to it's size and price, but for $100 CAD more per monitor (and a reduction down to 24" displays) you can get a more colour accurate display in the Viewsonic VP2468 that also has a much better (and adjustable) stand, DisplayPort, and mini-DP for chaining multiple monitors... But no FreeSync. Now, if these monitors were 1440p and had DisplayPort (and were, I dunno, say, $400 CAD each) I'd seriously consider them. I would be curious as to your guys' thoughts on the Viewsonic VP2468 though (and VP2768 too)
You reviewers need to stop thinking only expensive stuff can be good as I hear you say arround 3 mins in this video. For us who are working for their PC hardware it is hard earned money and budget is ALWAYS a important consideration. (No hate tho, love the channel :D)
i wanted to go triple monitor or dual but thinking of the cables running behind my desk with 2 bookshelf speakers it'll be a nightmare so i decided to get a Philips BDM3270QP2 32" 1440P 60HZ didn't disappoint.. multiple connections with 3w speakers.... colors are vibrant 5yrs warranty... got a good deal with it too... that RADEON GPU though.... what a tease... :D
I think they're discontinued now but the Lenovo L24q monitors would have been perfect for this. 24" 1440p IPS with slim bezels and native DisplayPort for under $200 each. Only 60Hz though.
The only thing people didn't like about multi-monitor setup is bezel, even thought bezel on monitor are getting thinner these days, but still it kind of annoying and not as smooth as single large screen.
I feel like this 1 should stir up some interesting debate. I think there are some good reasons for having a multi monitor set up like this like if you want to have several different applications open and have them all in their own windows or if you have 3 laying around that's good. For my money though, I would rather have a $600 ultra wide.
Nice video and nice setup. That must be a Radeon Vega 7 then?! Would it not be better just to get an ultrawide monitor at this point? Easier to setup, probably cheeper, possibly easier to setup?
I think only the middle monitor you need a 144Hz or higher config monitor. But for the sidekicks, you can just grab a 60Hz cheap display, u wouldnt notice the difference.
To be honest, for those money you can get an 21:9 1440p monitor, or even 1080p with high refresh rate if you’re lucky. Yes, the width is way low, but you get the better quality/performance, less cables and easier to run experience(though 1440p is somewhat same)
Please note, although nvidia does now support freesync, they don't support freesync over hdmi so these monitors would not be freesync on nvidia gpus. I don't think display adaptors work either.
For a triple 1080p 60hz monitor configuration you could go alot cheaper than what you did. Just a few months ago I picked up a 1080p 23inch 60hz monitor for $20
Awesome setup bro truly an immersive experience. I can never figure out why manufacturers put VGA cables in boxes anymore as HDMI cables are now dirt cheap.

New space is next level and awesome 😃😎
Nice look on the monitors, I have been running three monitors system for years but mainly for work and school I’m a cad designer and instructor at a college
Very cool video. I plan to one day doing this kind of set up. More monitors is always a welcomed situation. (:
I have built mine for about $500 including all the cables and the stand. Used somewhat cheaper monitors, HP 24w. Using the setup for productivity and sim racing.
Have had a triple monitor setup for a couple of years now, I would recommend it for the productivity and how cool it can be playing on three screens at once. My setup has 3x ASUS 144hz tn panels which I wouldn't fully recommend for triple setup as the viewing angles can be a better. Also the bezels really get in the way of the game imo, but still dam cool. For a triple monitor stand I would recommend an Ergotech triple monitor stand, they aren't cheap retail price ~$180 however I managed to find one on offerup for less then $60.
building first setup to test before i go all in... Excited to test this setup!
The lg 22 monitor is sold for less than 110 euros on amazon. And its a freesinc 8bit, ips ,75hz , narrow border and still 1080p
I had a triple monitor setup when BF3 was released. It was great but now that I use an ultrawide with high refresh rate the experience is better than 3 1080p monitors
All I need is a 1440p 27in monitor. Tn panel is fine and any hz is fine. (60) and at a decent price 200 ish. With vesa mount
Great video, thank you. How long is your desk?
I would love to see more setups including ultrawide monitors. I'm currently using a Dell U3415W 34" monitor with a 27" as a secondary monitor. The ultrawide is amazing for gaming and I could never go back.
So I have a 3 monitor setup. Rocking 3x LG34UM57 ultra-wide monitors. Just upgraded my system with a RTX 2080TI. I have only tried setting up surround once and it worked ok, but was not as ideal as it could be. Nvidia needs to work on their surround support.
I loved my triple monitor setup, triple Asus 24" screens, 100 bucks a screen. But now I want triple 4k!!!!
Are they good for video editing?
I'll never go back to 60 hertz. It would hertz me way too bad now.
I oc'ed my cheap ass 60hz monitor to 75 hz and everytime it turns back to 60hz i feel like my pc is fucked and lagging so bad
@ping gar i would rather not to cuz i cant go back ... maybe in the future
Omg....
I get it
@UCh9MeEH-jg-09WiqIkA3Gnw
Go back in time, stay on HD Ready for ever, not needing any HDR 1000 ever ever ever.....
Today's monitor are all crap!
All they produce are $2499 ultra small, or $10 000 HP OMEN TV's, just wait 10 years, keep the HD Ready bullshit!
Man I just found your channel and awesome details in your videos dam right I liked and subscribed lol awesome job
Welcome aboard!
Wow great video!I am in love!😘👏👏👏✋
I'm still working on my tri-monitor setup. I think i need 2 external graphics cards to boost the other two screens. I'm running acerG195w's, accell hdmi2 connector and a low end hp laptop.
Let us see a benchmark for a budget pc on these budget monitors , sth like i5 w/ 1060 or 1070 , just to see what kind of performance a triple monitor budget setup would be
I like the audio reverb, sounds more natural in a weird way
I went from Asus VN24s to Samsung curved 1800R CF390s 27inxhers and it's great!
I would be curious as to your guys' thoughts on the Viewsonic VP2468 though (and VP2768 too)
I spy another Radeon VII teaser today - glad my favorite YT tech creators have 'em and looking forward to the review embargo lifts. :-)
AOC 24V2H is bezel less, IPS and supports freesync, and it's cheaper, though it doesn't have vesa support. This would be good to compare with.
You reviewers need to stop thinking only expensive stuff can be good as I hear you say arround 3 mins in this video. For us who are working for their PC hardware it is hard earned money and budget is ALWAYS a important consideration. (No hate tho, love the channel :D)
Honestly i would Pick a Single 1440p, 144hz Monitor over these 3 compromise ones
You really hate 1080p right I got x34 and one dell 27inch need another one for triple screen
@@salahmed2756 1080p is okay but even at 24" it already looks strange.
@@salahmed2756 and Hz is more important than res or amount of mons
@@maxzett True about Hz, I did used to have a ultrawide 34inch 1080p, was god awful sent it back for x34 1440p
144hz is honestly overkill, ultrawide 1440p 100Hz is the sweet spot
I have a old 19" Dell so this would be a great upgrade for me.
You should drill a hole in your desk for your keyboard and put cable clips under your desk for a cleaner look
i wanted to go triple monitor or dual but thinking of the cables running behind my desk with 2 bookshelf speakers it'll be a nightmare so i decided to get a Philips BDM3270QP2 32" 1440P 60HZ didn't disappoint.. multiple connections with 3w speakers.... colors are vibrant 5yrs warranty... got a good deal with it too... that RADEON GPU though.... what a tease... :D
Single 27" Monitor and I'm happy with it.
I have a triple monitor set up I like it, I work with databases, spreadsheets, and social media so it helps me multitask.
I think they're discontinued now but the Lenovo L24q monitors would have been perfect for this. 24" 1440p IPS with slim bezels and native DisplayPort for under $200 each. Only 60Hz though.
I already have a 22" IPS screeen, so the 24" one would be perfect as a new main monitor!
The only thing people didn't like about multi-monitor setup is bezel, even thought bezel on monitor are getting thinner these days, but still it kind of annoying and not as smooth as single large screen.
9:54 what is name or purchase link of that orange light under the middle screen?
Awesome video as usual. Question: What are you using as rgb light behind the monitors?
Ultrawide crush this.
Pretty cool idea ! I’d have preferred 3 24 inch models just because 27 inches is a bit too big for 1080p
I think only the middle monitor you need a 144Hz or higher config monitor. But for the sidekicks, you can just grab a 60Hz cheap display, u wouldnt notice the difference.
i've been wanting to build a 3 screen set up for some time but its always seemed to much $$$ but this looks so good so thanks
I don't think display adaptors work either.
what is the light bulb arm on the side of the desk called @ 3:41??
So it was correct that is a Radeon VII in this setup. Well according to your unboxing it is nice sneaky way to showcase it before embargo
What was that wireless mouse you were using with what I am assuming is the whitefox (around the 4:10 mark)
What size?
While using surround/inifiteeye you should look at DisplayFusion which helps with window spanning
Wow, this is actually not too bad... The bezels are so small, it's awesome. I can't believe the 22-inch ones are only $90 right now!
Which case is it? Looks sick 🔥
Prices on the monitors have gone down too on amazon
24in- $110
27in- $145
Not sure about the 22 in
For a triple 1080p 60hz monitor configuration you could go alot cheaper than what you did. Just a few months ago I picked up a 1080p 23inch 60hz monitor for $20
Why am I watching this when I don’t even have a dual monitor
@RM Martinez can’t relate anymore, i do now
Hey Eber what's that keyboard at 3:57 . Can you share a link?
Thanks. Dope video.
i can only tell you the type of keyboard it is not the brand it's a 60% size mechanical keyboard probably a black mx switch
Awesome setup bro truly an immersive experience. I can never figure out why manufacturers put VGA cables in boxes anymore as HDMI cables are now dirt cheap.
I bet this is new Amd R7 gpu!! Anyone else see the Easter egg on monitor 1?
That is what i need bro thank so much
9:59 what happened on the right monitor white line? never play bf before
What's the RGB like-a-sound bar lamp you are using, that looks superb behind the monitors?
