One of your Cons, especially the one concerning turning your eye or turning your head is actually dependent on how the game itself handles 3 monitors.
If a game keeps your view and UI elements inside the center monitor, then the side monitors simply add view to your game.
However, some games have scaling issues where it zooms your view in and stretches your UI. this is where 3 monitor gaming goes bad for gaming.
The only time I have to setup NVidia surround screen spanning is when a videocard drive is installed/updated. I don't have to setup the 3 monitor thing every time.
I think you are turning yours off all the time.
Your 2 main cons are very subjective to situations, programming and compatibility. If the games where all programmed to center its reference view and UI elements to the center 16:9 area of any ultrawide or 3 monitor setup, as well as NVidia fixing what ever problem they have with disabling widescreen spanning ever driver update, on top of you stop choosing to disable your 3 monitor spanning everytime you close a game, the only Con you would have would be the cost.
There used to be a modding community that worked on user/fan-made fixes for games that had problems with 3 monitor scaling for view and UI.
About the only other con I can think of, outside of cost and lack of support, is jealous players being vindictive and talking crap.

Was using two 32" monitors for productivity, and that was nice. I then decided I wanted a larger central display for gaming and got a 55" 4k120hz tv. Gaming is sweet on that. For simulators, I just tried getting 3 monitors to work, but the mix in size/resolution causes nothing but trouble. I end up running in 2560+3840+2560 = 8960 x 1440, with a black bar on the top of the 4k. I'm still struggling with refresh rate (central display defaults to 24hz), so I totally understand the frustration of setup. If you're doing triple monitor, get 3 of the same!

I needed this advice, thank you. I'm in the process of building a PC and I've got the budget to splurge, like $1000. I'm debating getting an ultra wide curved monitor verses 3 screens. I'll probably compromise and get one ultra wide curved screen with two vertically aligned monitors on either side. I could just use the main curved monitor for gaming and the other two screens for whatever. Not sure yet though, advice welcome. Keep in mind this is my first PC build.

I can say that I had a triple screen setup, then I exchanged the three screens for a huge screen. I missed having three programs open at the same time, the super wide wallpapers, and at the end of the day, I had to move the huge screen apart from me to see everything, from the distance from my eyes to the screen it look the same size as a normal screen, I am currently selling the big screen and going back to the triple screen. one inconvenience of the triple screen is the lines between each screen, if the screens have a thick edge you may see those bars in your overall image, I recommend that you buy screens with very thin edge, if possible of the same brand and type, because different brands may have a different way to show colors, different brightness, different ways to show color temperature, if the three screens are as identical as possible you will not have a problem with that.

For racing at the moment, there is NOTHING better! You are not faster, but safer and overall easier driving. Still, when VR will be on a level with decent resolutions and FOV, I probably will switch back to VR.

I would have to disagree with the First person shooter on triple surround. If you have it scaled correctly, your main screen will stay the same size, and your side two monitors are effectively triple your Field of view. You just need the correct aspect ratio. Arma 3 on triples helps alot to spot the enemies off to the side. I agree its a PITA to set-up and use. Cant wait for the 30xx series GPUs, as they will really help boost the usability of triples.

My work computer has 4 monitors. Three 22" and the laptop screen. Since Covid, I moved to working from home and one of the 22" is now a 27" that is shared to my home Mac during off hours. Mine is pure workflow. The 27" has an editor where I make notes on the issue and resolution, next is my case logging software, and the next monitor is my email. The laptop screen monitors the phone system (and no other apps as at 15" I rely on the icons more than text to see what is happening.) Monitors #1 & #3 also have a web browser each with 3-5 tabs. Monitor 2 has the chat system behind the logging software (full screened) that I flip forward when not on calls and cases. I picked up another 22" a week or so ago, but I have to rearrange the desk a bit, the printer is moving by the router on the other side of the office. Yeah, I can get a little carried away with this stuff.

I am really disappointed spending all those money then I coupled my friends 2*19 inch and 1*22 inch monitor that's very enjoyable. Always go for small monitors as you can. It's way more immersive because three monitors are under your perception and I am not getting headaches watching the monitors.

As a triple monitor usesr who recently is bearing with dual monitors, I would say more screens you have, more productivity it is.
Tried NFS, it was alright, you don't really pay attention to the extra screens. FPS games such as CSGO, you want to switch back to 1 screen once you played 5 seconds with 3 monitors.
Overall, I still enjoy triple monitors. Only thing is they spread too much and is too wide (22 inch moniotors, not mentioning 27"), so this would be a concern as well.
I have been planning to switch to a large 4k or 1440p, but after watching some videos talking about multiple monitors, I decided to stay.
Maybe ultrawide + regular, or just stay with my 22inches triple.
Thanks for the video, I now completely stand with my triple setup.

@@TechTesseract Every game I own released later than ~2010 DOES render extra FOV if you set the render resolution to 5760*1080. No stretch at all. This includes CSGO, Minecraft, Black Ops 3, Rocket League, Fortnite, Halo Master Chief Collection, Crackdown, to name a few. In this setup, the middle monitor shows exactly the same image as a single monitor setup, and the outer 2 monitors show parts of the scene that would not be rendered otherwise. It is equivalent to cranking up your FOV.
In many FPS games, I find that I can sit in corners of buildings and see both entryways inside my hiding spot, making it much more difficult to sneak up on me. In Fortnite, poor programming allows the very edge of the camera to clip through walls for a rudimentry X-Ray cheat. My guess as to why ESports doesn't use triple monitors is because if diminishing returns as you get wider, and the significant decrease in frames/sec rendering such a high resolution.

Everyone has one screen… Most people have two screens (Comes standard for office jobs). If you want to stand out, you have to get three screens. Bottom line: the pros outweigh the cons by far when it comes to triple screens.

I would like to see games that incorporate multiple screens and/or another PCs into their gameplay for example i know of is Uplink, where you could link to another pc, it become a map screen
Of course some flight sims and a couple of KSP mods do this, but i mean a game designed with this function from the ground up.

Gaming side: if you play competitive go single mid monitor 240hz 1080, if you play sims or other 90% of the games like Fallout,AC,Doom, etc,, go wide screen 3 monitor 60 hz its really a new experience, setting up the wide mode in Nvidia control panel takes you 10s i dont know what he is talking about, i think the only thing will be the space, but there is wide variety of floating arms that cost 30$ problem solved

The thing I hate most about my 3 monitor setup is WALLPAPERS. There are not many for it. I have 3x 1440p and I can't find jack.
I never even though to use 3 monitors for gaming. I thought about productivity. The only thing I use the side screens for in gaming is for having guides or maps pulled up.

3:30 you need to change your FOV then. Maybe this is just an age thing but this is factually incorrect at least today - the middle monitor will contain the same as one monitor whilst the side ones will contain more information. But this is today. :)

I am used to it and played with the top players in some competitive games. Since i got a bit older i started to realize that a new monitor can make me improve my gameplay even more, that's the only reason why i should buy a new one... If i would buy a 240Hz monitor and use it as my main gaming screen will the 60Hz feel laggy when am just browsing on it?
I never played on a higher hz monitor so i can't tell how it feels.

I first got three monitors back in 2007 and I would never, ever, go back to just one. That applies to both gaming and work. For work I think I could live with two, but no way would I have just one. I do mainly play flying and driving sims, which I think drives my preferences strongly.
