    Milwaukee copied the knife design with 1/4 bit holder from Kershaw, I have both. I got the Kershaw knife with 1/4 bit holder back in 2008, i think 🤔. Milwaukee was not the original on the bit holder 😂

    Milwaukee all day the double sided bit has save me from miles of walking to the truck to retrieve a screwdriver also flat head has opened at least a hundred cans of paint

    Milwaukee has a bottle opener built in. I often use the flat head bit to open electrical panels at work. And the newest generation of milwaukee has a ball and spring collar to hold the bit in place. I will have to buy the klein and give it a whirl.

      @noelv1976 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I have that spring collar version and let me tell ya, one or two drops from the ladder that clip will eventually break off. Lost the original bit because it fell off the holder.

      My spring collar disappeared just from pulling in and out of my pocket, made it through about 4 months

      The ball popped out on mine and I tossed it in a bin. I have the kershaw select fire. It has everything the fastback does but a real knife blade which I like.

    the only thing I wish the milwaukee had from the klein one is that secondary locking position. The removable impact rated bit holding feature is kind of cool too. I’ll still go with the milwaukee 6 in 1 for now, but I like other companies finally trying to offer similar versions

  • @creekfinds
    @creekfinds 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    As a painter/handyman, this particular model of Fastback comes up short for two reasons. It holds one extra blade that is difficult to remove and the arm on the bit holder is not strong enough to open multiple cans of paint without breaking. The king of Fastbacks is the one with 5 blade storage.

    Sweet now Milwaukee will come out with an even better fast back now one that’s will not only drive in a screw or cut a box or some cable but will be able to deliver 1800 in pounds of torque

    As an electrician, when I saw the new Klein I had to go get it. I keep it on my pouch with the rest of my tools. I carry the Milwaukee with me at all times. Sad to say but Klein felt short of the fastback. I need both flat-head and Phillips option on the Milwaukee.

  • @ryanthomas9685
    @ryanthomas9685 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

    I wanted Klein to be better, but people who actually use the screwdriver know that it has to be centered inline to be worth using. Milwaukee still takes it there

    • @hallowedbethygame2840
      @hallowedbethygame2840 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yeah 100% that’s a major flaw on the Klein

  • @hallowedbethygame2840
    @hallowedbethygame2840 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I don’t need an extra impact bit in my knife, I need a combo screwdriver for small adjustments. How else am I gonna adjust faceplate screws? That and the offset screw driver make this one a hard pass.

    Idk why Milwaukee doesn't have the second lock position feature. They have had it on other fastbacks and it literally wouldn't cost them anything to have it on this model. It's just a little groove drilled into the little axle thing.

  • @Mrjackietreehorn

    If the Milwaukee driver were magnetic instead of the ball detent it would be perfect… mine broke. I use the Kershaw select fire now. It’s perfect and it holds any 4 - 1” bits you can find, uses a magnetic driver and it has a bottle opener. Love Kershaw blades too.

    The Klein looks like it might have the one handed opening and closing capability on the screwdriver end. Does it? If that's the case then the Klein is the winner in my book, except its lack of blade storage is a bummer.

    I have the 6 in 1 Fastback that I carry everywhere and use on a daily basis, I'v researched the Kline, no blade storage, no Phillips/Flat bit which is a must have, half of the bit driver can be lost, has locking blade position the Fastback doesn't have which is nice but definitely not a must have. I will be staying with my Fastback. Ps. The bottle opener on the Fastback is completely useless for me as i also still EDC my Victorinox Swiss Champ that I bought in 1985.

    Milwaukee wasnt the first to do a flip utility knife or one with a driver and bottle opener :)
    Alot of the other flip utility knives are even smoother...
    The one thing Milwaukee does do, is put them all together and make them work well

    The uncentered Klein bit holder & extension is pointless and cheap feeling. The centered, double ended bit on the Milwaukee is a far better option for EDC

    Both aren't perfect. There are definitely things I would improve about both, mainly the bit holders and pocket clips.
    I personally like the Milwaukee more, I hope other them or companies improve the design so we get a better, more efficient product.

    I like Klein💘but not as much as before😢, now they make lower quality products. As for this comparison, Milwaukee's is definitely even better. And even though Klein took the time to not only design and copy something but he couldn't improve it, reverse engineering didn't work🥺.
