Jin really is a very versatile singer. With a very wide range, can sing any genre and technically has a very good singing technique/ skills. Can make powerful belts, seamless falsetto, and chest voice. No wonder hes called "Silver Voice". His attitude makes him a good role model. Kudos to you Jin, see you in 2 weeks 💜

I'm just so happy everytime a musician praises Jin's voice. Most who praise him 1st that I see are actually musicians. Especially in this song. How he hit that note. And for his solo songs, he always hit it with his melodies. I swear. U gotta hear the official Epiphany AND Epiphany DEMO version.

Jin's voice is my favourite! He is a great singer, I love his song Abyss.
Thank you. I think a lot of people overlook Jin’s voice but he has a very versatile vocal ability and is hugely talented. 💜
It takes people a little while to understand all 7 members of BTS are world class artists whose solo work is very different individually. That is why their vast discography covers so many genres and genre mixes. Tell us your preferences and we will steer you to songs. By the way they are best live. Their performance level sells out stadium tours in hours. The innovative 3 rappers also produce works that shift genres. The 4 vocalists are equally great soloists. They dance as well as any crew. All write, compose and produce. The main Lyricist is RM and the main producer is Suga. But they make collaboration a tool for creativity.
Hard to say my preferences, not knowing their works! I would say that I tend to prefer the more 'harmonically-surprising' songs. I liked 'Lie' by Jimin, and as you can probably tell from this video I liked this song too. In general, rap-heavy songs probably wouldn't be my preference

@@SirHairless would you say that you'd generally prefer more orchestral heavy songs? Because if so, I believe Black Swan would interest you, especially the way it blends in more modern sounds.
@@Al_-cf1dj Hmmmm instrumentation doesn't matter too much, it's more the harmony. I guess with orchestral sections usually the style will be more in line with what I might prefer 😅 Thanks for the recommendation!
UK ARMY here. As numerous people have said in the comments, BTS are best live, mics are ALWAYS on. However, if you are analysing tracks like this, stick to music videos or lyric videos. With lives on TH-cam, you take pot luck with the recording quality and there aren't always captions. Just note that lyric videos are not always 100% accurate with translations, and the right person does not always light up. But ARMY will steer you right.
BTS never make the same song twice so you are in for a fun time. Expect the unexpected!💜
I recommend the YT Channel called Enjoy BTS More because of the excellent translation in all of the BTS videos there.

Oh I love that you react to BTS! The truth untold live (Japan Tour Version) will be to your liking for sure. All members show their vocal abilities very well. V has a nice baritone tone, Jin sings with passion, Jimin hitting high notes and JK doing a frame for everybody with his beautiful adlibs. Hope to see more of BTS reaction content :)

You always bring out new understanding when I watch your analyses and it was wonderful to hear your thoughts on this classic vocal line song. I love the how movement is used in the song to support the storytelling. This was a treat. Thank you! I will keep my eye out for your analysis of Jin's song and V's song: I am sure they will be coming.

BTS Army here. I definitely recommend live performances as much as possible. Nothing like BTS performing live. Their voices are amazing and their harmonies are so good. V is my bias. He has the widest vocal range as a baritone yet he can hit the same high notes as the other 3 singers. I also have a recommendation for another amazing singer. A Chinese pop singer Zhou Shen. A contra tenor in the highest sense. Check out anything including Time to Say Goodbye, Memory, Song of Heaven Island, Ring the Doorbell
Oh, I wish you had watched the live performance of this! It is genuinely even better than the studio version. :)
I'm going to say the quiet part out loud after reading some of these weird backhanded replies about Jin. If you decide to get into BTS, you will attract a lot of solos too as well as fake Armys. A lot of 'solos' and fake 'Armys' go out of their way to paint a picture about Jin that isnt real. He is very talented with a pure voice that even the grammys were stunned by and labeled his voice silvery to the ear, he is very unique and creative, and also one of the few people in the world who truly has a pure and good heart. People see that as a sign of weakness and target him. He has a beautiful voice, but in every video you will see fake fans say 'he wasnt naturally talented like the others' when NONE of members were singers, a lot never danced, some never rapped- but no one mentions that.
And then in every video of Jin where people praise him, why are the people who claim to be Army (but are not) say that 'oh he wasn't naturally talented but he got better' or 'he had to catch up' 'he used to be bad at this or that'. Its similar to when your mother or father in law secretly hates you and gives you backhanded compliments to look better. They say things and fuel haters outside of the fandom to say it too because they dont like when anyone praises this amazing man over their favorites. If you say Jin has a high range, guess who comes running? People who claim to be fans. If you say he has the widest range, look who gets angry. If you say he's handsome, or intelligent, or even the most funny (when 'funny' used to be the only compliment he was allowed to get but now even thats too much for them' - someone always has to say something and they claim to be ARMY but I'm going to say it rn, you are not ARMY if you dont know that Jin is an amazing singer who can write and compose, an amazing person who has qualities outside of being caring to others or funny, and someone who deserves to be treated with respect because he has always shared WISDOM even back in their early days bc he was also a young person who had to grow too yet he never lost purity.
He will be back in 10 days. He was the one that outsiders and even some fake Armys were harassing for years about enlisting, constantly putting a raincloud over his emotions and asking why he hadnt left for the military yet, letting the entire military issue hit him where he had to be the only one to answer to the press about it until he left, and then when he's coming back Ive seen some people planning to spam him with questions about a war outside of his country when he hasnt even returned to his family yet or gotten used to society again or they're making jokes that arent even funny when he has done SO well in the military and has become a sergeant, commander, and special class warrior- Jin does things no one else can do or that no one expects him to do and thats because he's a real person with real talents and who deserves real love and thats what we're going to make sure he receives when he comes back.

TRUTH! Jin played the piano to accompany himself singing "Epiphany", which, I believe, he also composed. He also plays guitar and admires Chris Martin of Coldplay. Chris Martin was so impressed with Jin that he gave him his own acoustic guitar! Please watch the background/documentary video of Jin's collaboration with Chris Martin & Coldplay as he travelled to Argentina to sing "The Astronaut", a song Chris wrote for Jin as a goodbye to ARMY before he went to serve in the military!

@@hayeck38 Yeah, we get it that Jimin has a pretty and unique high voice, but that wasn't the subject. Even the others get much more praise because Jin has such a rich voice that he often does harmonies or people don't even realize that there's only him singing sometimes. That's part of why he gets much more praise when they sing live. But they often give high notes to JK and Jimin and lower notes to V so Jin doesn't have many opportunities to show off his range

Yes Jin's versatility goes above and beyond. He got one of the widest range in the group. His literal guides are in female octaves but he has a natural vibrato . He is on the lower side but hit the highest notes as well. Try listening to his song called ' epiphany ' and ' awake' in LIVE. he is awesome performing live.
Taehyung's range is wider.
Jin is an altotenor and Jimin is a countertenor.
I actually think Taehyung’s range is wider btw this does not mean he is more talented Jin is very stable in singing Tae is too but I think Taehyung has a wider range since he can sing much lower but as high as well Jin can sing high but cannot sing as low as Tae same with jungkook and Jimin cannot reach how low Tae can be but Jimin has the lightest and highest range

I love House of Cards! If you want more BTS, some good live performances include Tiny Desk Concert (3 songs), Festa Room Live (a medley of 7 songs - I recommend the Bangtan Subs version for the banter), Proof Live (3 songs), Just One Day live from BangBangCon, Their cover of Fix You for MTV Unplugged, as well as Blue and Grey, Telepathy and Life Goes On from that performance. If you get the videos from BangtanTV or Hybe Labels you won't have copyright issues. With NPR, some people have had issues. For the MTV Unplugged, the performances are also on BangtanTV, so save yourself the headache and go with those.

The way I absolutely LOVE to listen to professionals speak of Bangtan's Music! All of ARMY experience their sound emotionally, but not in technical Terms, since not all of us have the Language of Music.
It is a new depth of understanding how the music truly plays, carries and adds to the lyrics and song as a finished product; Also how those are intentional choices.

This is one of the few groups that sound even better in their live performances! I suggest you watch the live performance of the recommended songs whenever possible. The channel "Enjoy BTS More" has a good many of their songs with English subtitles. Also, always use subtitles as their lyrics are often very deep and meaningful. I don’t know that many songs by BTS, but the ones that I have seen are quite different from each other. Many have rap parts, which I particularly like. And a big part of their appeal is also the incredible dancing. Plus they are wonderful people, as far as I have read. 😊❤

Thanks for this reaction. Can't wait for more BTS. Jin is so versatile. His high voice sometimes sounds like a female the same with Jimin. And Jin is so stable on stage. You won't find a group like BTS. V's voice is the icing on the cake. It is one of my fave in the world, and JK is like a vocal acrobat, he can do it all. These are the four are called the vocal line and have quite a few songs together. The rap line also does songs with just the three rappers.

Bts is 3 rappers and 4 vocalist and all dance, the write and produced there music, there lyrics ia about depression, women power, menthal health, haters, social injustice and self love. bts is the biggest group in the world, the also do solo music the 4 rappers all have there own mixtapes and the vocalist have there own solo songs. In 2023 all members did solo songs or Album beacuse the had to do there mandatory military service, 2 members are inish this year and the other 5 is finish next year, so in 2025 the back as group

Yes Jin has an amazing range. Some suggestions: Fix You ( Cold play cover- if you do this one look for the MTV live it’s amazing), Your eyes Tell ( Japanese lyrics again live is beautiful), Film out( music Blood live version), Crystal Snow ( another Japanese song if you do it live Jin hits a triple high note that is mostly overlooked towards the end of the song), and Dis-ease. All of my recommendations are of all 7. I also recommend live versions, as they are one of the best out there with their live vocals. Thank you for your reaction.😊

The live performance is stunning. The emotion they bring into the live is incredible to witness and it is amazing they can do such a performance straight after performing a really heavy choreo song.
They do many songs as sub-units, which can be 2 , 3, 4 members, often vocal line (Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) or rap line (RM, Suga and J Hope), but can be any combination like Suga and Jimin(Tony Montana), V and Jin (It's Definitely You), RM and V (4 O'Clock) to name but a few, or, of course, all 7.
I thoroughly recommend Louder Than Bombs as musically I find it fascinating. There are no live performances or MV so a colour coded lyrics video will be a good choice.

Also, Suga (Min Yoongi) of BTS is a writer/composer/producer of this song. He’s a musical genius; you should check out his work.
Jin is returning from the military in 11 days and no doubt his album (and actor debut *cough cough*) will follow! Jin imo has the most enchanting and alluring voice in bts (especially in his songs like 'tonight', 'yours', 'the astronaut' 'abyss' etc) and also the craziest range considering he started from scratch as a singer and then blew everyone away -including the grammys panel and kmas panel- phew

There are many reasons why BTS are so successful, the most important one is that they are all lovely human beings with huge hearts. 💜 The four members who sing this song are the vocal line. The other three members (RM, Suga and J-hope) are the rap line, and I'm sure you've guessed it, they specialise in rap songs/parts of songs. 🙂
The only thing I'd add, since you were talking of V's fluid voice at the start, is that you might want to listen to his solo songs Singularity or For Us. One is older and one is newer, so really, they make the perfect pair. Although...I am slightly biased there. 😜

Hi. V is my bias, but all of the members have their own charm, and have their own shinning moments. The 3 rappers, RM, Suga, and J-Hope also have their recognizable individual rapping style, and have very nice singing voices as well. I hope you continue to follow them. There are so many songs to love, by BTS. Two of my favorite, are ON, and Black Swan. If you could check those out, I would be interested in what you think. Also, there is a newer Korean quartet, “Libelante”. I think you would enjoy them. They have beautiful voices as well. Thank you for considering these. ☺️🇺🇸

Dear author! As a long-time fan of BTS, I recommend that for reactions and for your own pleasure you choose not a studio recording of the song, but a concert one. Because under the emotions and drive of the guys and the audience, the songs sound more powerful, live, with improvisation. Although they have songs (very few) that were not performed at concerts, only recorded in the studio due to the delicate filigree work with rhythm and harmonies. Or if these are covers, which are not usually performed at concerts without special agreements.
