    I enjoy everything you do but I’m glad to see you back on the Bealy Good pond build today. You don’t like much being down to the final touches on this job. This is one pond that I definitely want to see after it’s filled up and he’s done with whatever he plans to do on the island.

    You have every right to be proud of your work . you couldn't even see 20 feet in front of you when you walked this project the first time but was able to envision a completed project . Awesome project . Stand tall Chris ,you deserve it .

      Yeah for something as big as five acres. Plus depending on soil once ya start clearing if is possible. Can always scale back to smaller or just have to move more dirt. What money is made from the logging? Of course that money goes back into the project. What does the govt. give you (pay or write off) to have a pond?

      Actually the bigger machines are easier to operate...I have one of each and love both equally but the big machine is always my favorite.

    After a hard loading a box truck to move tomorrow and get some painting done on the apartment it was really nice to find a Chris vid had been posted to watch while I eat my dinner.
    This has definitely been one of the all time best pond build series Chris has done.
    Especially all he had to do to get to this nearly complete stage.

    Really looking good. Man i'd be digging creek channels, scooping all the banks, rip rap the entire dam. making more points and coves with pea gravel spawning areas. adding more structure....shoot I could spend ALL of Bealy's money!!!

      Me too, I wonder when dosers just nope out and roll over. I watch these on my phone and tilt it til the trees are verticle, really shows how steep the bank was

      well it's not 45*, that would be a 1 to 1 slope, the face on most damns are 3 to 1, or 3 ft of run to each ft of rise

    The bucket on the 220, to me any from a camera,is showing a significant amount of wear on it, as one would expect I guess, but I don’t detect or hear any real bucket or connection point rattles that come with wear. I take that as a testimony to your diligent maintenance of equipment sir. Pond is really slicking up nicely. Thanks for the ride along sir.

    Hey Chris, this is looking really nice. Can't wait to see it completed and filled up! I think a great video idea would be to re-visit some of the many ponds you've done over the years so your followers can see them after a year or two. (I know your time is valuable and many of them just aint all that close.) It would make a cool pond compilation video. Just a thought. Keep up the great work!

    From the camera, it often looks like you grade away the work you have done previously or the soil you have moved there. Must be in illusion. Thanks for sharing. No doubt it will be a long wait to see the final pond with water. But will be amazing as usual.

      Yeah, those fancy programmes & stuff reduce emissions, increase fuel economy & make things easier, WHEN they work.
      Unfortunately, the tech isn't yet as reliable or robust as it should be & when it break$$$$$$$....🥺

    Great job! Thanks for explaining and tying everything together for us. I've finally learned to watch the shadows and time of day to see which way is north. Without landmarks it's easy to get disoriented. But now with the dam up and that tree sticking up, I know where you're talking about.

    Seems to be a loud whistle I don't recall hearing before. Definitely from the rear of the 220 as gets much louder when it was swinging toward the camera.

      Sounds like one of the silicone hoses going to the turbo or intercooler has a cut in it causing the whistle

    Chris, how many gallons per hour does the 220 burn during normal digging type operation? I think I remember you mentioned the 220 has an economy mode, do you use that?

      Wish I knew. I'm in one of the wettest counties in the UK & can't remember it ever being this dry.
      Fun fact: If the US doesn't get its seasonal hurricanes & tropical storms, the UK doesn't get its seasonal rain (look at the tracks of the low pressure areas).

    Chris, I just watched Geoff’s recent video with the fish habitat planning & Volvo
    folks and noticed you having to walk long distances. Have you thought about putting a hitch on the 220 so you can tow a light weight UTV/ATV? Yeah, it might be a hassle to hitch & unhitch but it would save you time & walking bother in the long run…probably a dumb idea, but I thought I’d mention it.

      I’d watch Chris’s videos if they ran for 3 or 4 hours. Chris and Mike over at Dirt Perfect are two of the best in the business.
