I envy anyone who got to see Ride Live in 92 with Verve supporting. What an experience that must have been
Me and my mates went to the box office at Derby Assembly Rooms a couple of hours before the gig and asked the lady there who the support band was. She flicked through a few bits of paper and then said "oh here it is, some band called Verve." We cheered and headed off to the pub for pre-gig beers very happy indeed. And sorry to be annoying, but saw Verve again in '93 at Rock City, supporting Smashing Pumpkins. And yes, I'm now one of those "music was better in our day" 40-somethings :D

I actually prefer this sped-up rendition to the original studio version! Wish they had played it live like this when I saw them a few years ago
I saw them in Champagne Illinois maybe 6 years ago... They played a weird almost jazz version of this, but was prepped to jump around when it kicked in, but it never really did. It was still amazing, and could appreciate that version for what it was, but I love this song as an exorcism... It's a thinking person's "Slayer" I feel renewed after letting out my aggression and trauma through this song... the jazz version didn't really do that.
What a treat to see an old performance captured on film stock, even if just 16mm is gorgeous enough to the level of just like heaven, look at the vibrant colors!!! Even enjoy the noises! pun intended 😁
Superb, just pre ordered this and the vinyl. And got my tickets for the Guardian Live Classic Album Sundays presents ‘Nowhere’ event in London. Never thought i'd get the chance to sit in a room with Ride and listen to 'Nowhere' with them. Miracles can happen ;) Can't wait :)

I saw Ride in Chicago at Metro on that double Bill with LUSH so I wasn’t expecting to be BLOWN AWAY when I walk in with my friend Deron and they’re playing THIS (yes they went on before LUSH) but we hadn’t peaked yet so the evening got even MORE interesting lol 🙃👾🖖❤️🤘

Holy fukety fuk....they were really young but that guitar sound..that's what didn't make sense to me, Andy was bass player for oasis but could out play Noel on lead even then.
It was a travesty that Andy had to play bass for Oasis...but I trust it got him a good paycheque, so fair play to him.

As a bassist I am not one to say this quickly, but.. that bass is WAAAY too loud in the mix. Sounds extremely compressed as well. Otherwise this is a great performance.
