No. That's the sign for "wish," "hungry," and "desire." It is probably the sign for more words, too 😉 A couple good things about having one sign for many words... it's less signs to be confused by, and it encourages me to pay attention to the context so I know which word it is. ASL is always contextual. We got this!
They are the same sign. The difference is the distance that they travel down your front torso. Wish is from your collar bone to your chest and hungry is from your neck to your stomach
Same handshape; same movement; but location ending is different. As someone above mentioned: WISH is short, to cheat only. HUNGRY goes down to stomach. So technically the signs are similar, but not the same. The parameter of location is the difference.
Ever since I was young I've wanted to learn. I've always been a loner (w learning challenges ADD & Dyslexia). So for me it felt too difficult to learn/maintain this knowledge. The older I got (the more struggles I had to endure, apparently the school authorities knew PS my guidance counselor told my parents not to have me count. Math in HS). Anyway, the older I got, the more I'd wished I knew ASL 1) it looked like fun 2) I could share a secret conversation w/ someone. Although being a loner 😕, that would prove to be difficult. 10+ years after HS I was finally tested for Dyslexia. That's when I learned I also had ADD. Looking back, I Strongly believe that I would have succeeded far better, had all schools made it mandatory to teach ASL to ALL students. Many years later, my point was proven (to myself - confirmed) when I watched a video of SANDY PATTI Signing a song... I thought heres my chance to not only learn but I could enforce what I learned every time I heard the song. INSTANTLY that song took on a life of it's own. As if I breathed life, suddenly I understood what I was read/singing. W/that "bridge or connection" in my mind is just word soup, making me look stupid...or as many labeled me as "mental".😢 I'm so sorry for dumping a life full of struggles, honestly if you (whoever is still reading this) THANK YOU & GOD BLESS YOU. I am now 65, it still would be fun to learn a bit here & there but my ❤ forevermore soul desire is to learn signing to Praise Songs. Sadly the Establishment failed for me. Instead of teaching gender CRAP, THEY NEED TO TEACH ASL! ESPECIALLY NOW W/ SO MANY DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES/ SO MANY DIFFERENT LANGUAGES. GOD BLESS THE TEACHERS TO DO THE RIGHT THING! 🙏

Just a suggestion and please do another ASL tutorial video, a Part 2, for other brands and places that people, like me, go shopping or to eat, for example: Safeway, Fred Meyers, Apple Bees, Arby's, Carl's Jr, Dairy Queen, Dr. Pepper, 7Up, Goodwill, Jack In the Box, Jersey Mike's, K Mark, Kohls, Outback Steakhouse, Qudoba, Quiznos, Sprite, Starbucks, Tim Hortons BTW they have those in Canada and in Texas and Arizona, Whataburger, just to name a few that weren't mentioned. Strange, how some of those places, people don't remember or haven't been to or don't remember downloading them on their calenders, cellphones or tablets. Thank you, and God bless you 🙂🙏👍👍🙏🙂❤️❤️.
Hi - I lived in Hawaii for 4 years before. Deaf people in Hawaii already have sign language for "pineapple" for a long, long time. Why don't you ask them? I remember that during my youth years in PA and CA, "pineapple" was always fingerspelled.

If there is a large amount of Deaf employees with a company then one is created by their community. For instance, the Amazon sign with A-Z is one created by Amazon Deaf employees. (You can find it from a video shared by them.)

Why don't have you have captions attached to your video. Like you have random emphasis on things u say/sign but how is it deaf friendly if there aren't cc attached. Yes TH-cam has cc options but why not advocate and add them.
I used to be deaf and mute from an explosion and Kenneth beale sr and jr planning an explosion with my birth mother and the other Mormons to kill me because they didn’t want me alive to marry Bryant foulger and for my half sister Estelle to marry him every year . It happen when I was around three or four and they had people replay it and react it every election year. even in 2020 with the same bells and whistle that happened before the explosion in Itta Bena , MS. I had to learn sign language after that . A lot of the rape surrogate children I had also made me either blind or mute. I naturally know it as a language thought because that’s one of my spiritual gifts from God knowing all different languages.

I have never once seen a Deaf person or anyone in the Deaf community ever sign COKE on the arm. That is an archaic sign. More commonly associated with cocaine, though it’s not the sign for COCAINE, it it closer to the action of shooting up drugs. Always fingerspell COKE.
