been playing these on console since me2 released, finally wanted to check out your video and see what i could mod. this video was clear, concise and easy to follow. thanks.
Definitely had to send a like over, my gf and I do yearly playthroughs and wanted the happy ending mod for our run this year. When we tried to do it last year there were no good tutorials for modding so thank you!
Very helpful for beginner modders. I just wish he had shown the process of manually installing them, for the mods that aren't set up for a mod manager.
Straightforward and useful thanks! Have you by chance done any modding for Dragon Age origins, I’m trying to mod that as well but it seems so much more difficult and convoluted?
Hey thanks for the nice comment! I was actually thinking if doing a modded playthrough of DAO before the new dragon age game comes out. Right now I do not know how to mod the game, but once I learn I’ll be sure to make a video on that as well!
The mod that allows you to take all of the resources of the planet in Mass effect. 2 at once with one probe is so awesome say it is so tedious doing it. And I scanned every planet to get it to poor level. Every planet I have done before doing any of the main quests. This mod will revolutionize my playthrough and Mass effect 2 and greatly decrease my play time. Once I get a good PC and what not, I can get all these mods. Especially the graphic overhaul one these mods will change my gameplay and I am looking forward to it
@@MrFightmonster118 I wonder if there's mods that expand or you know show liara's ass during the sex scene. Or whatever and even the other romasses too. I mean I'm just saying man she's sexy. I love that blue skin tone. It's so beautiful and also there are purple asari as well as shiala who is green and I mean man she would be nice to mate with as well
nice, easy explained. good video! the only mod i got problems to install is the ''a lot of textures'' with the static lightning etc. and that torrent i dont understand.
I've never owned a steam deck so unfortunately I have no experience in that department! I doubt you can mod games on the steam deck that aren't steam workshop compatible though.
Great vid. Thanks for the help. I would say make a quick vid for Backups as it would have been a perfect vid if it was included :p But you got me 80% of the way and im very thankful for it. Have a fantastic day!
So once you have it downloaded and extracted into your ME3Tweaks Mod manager and it's in your mod library you don't have to do anything more and that mod and its effects will be in the game, right?
Do exactly what I do with ME3Tweaks in the video and you should be fine. Also read the mod descriptions to make sure it’s ME3Tweaks compatible. For example, some texture mods aren’t compatible with ME3Tweaks
I actually was able to download the mod manager on the steam deck and import the mods into it. The only problem is i cant find the game when adding the target. Im really stuck now.
I’m not entirely sure how it would work on steam deck as I have little experience with them, but you would need to find where ever the game is stored on the steam decks drive. You can usually find this in the game manager in the steam library.
So I haven’t played the game in like 2 years and I would like to start and mod fresh but it’s saying in order for me to restore the game to vanilla state I have to delete the entire games history. How would I go about doing that?
I tried using your method but you have to use the Nexus Games section below Downloads in the Dashboard or your method doesnt work. ANd the Nexus games does't find Mass effect legendary edition and the create a game extension link also doesn't work as the author has hidden or removed it from Nexus. So what a gamer to do?
I would do one of 2 things. Either make sure both the game and manager are on the same same drive and that the manager is looking in the right place. And if all else fails, reinstall both.
I'm pretty sure there's no way to do that . A very few select games on console have mod support with built in mod menus -- the biggest twi being Skyrim and Fallout 4
I’m actually not sure if modding this game on a steam deck is even possible. All of the mods for mass effect legendary edition come from Nexus mods and not the steam workshop. I don’t own a steam deck myself so I’m not sure of its modding capabilities
Im mostly a console guy, but i decided to get mass effect on my pc as well to test out the mods. Kind of a beginner to this so thanks for the help :)
Welcome to the master race!
There are so many good mods that I honestly can’t play the OT without anymore. Have fun modding!
Same, just got a pc and Mass effect is one of the first games I thought of playing with mods
Quick, to the point and absolutely fantastic tutorial! Should be the Gold Standard for modding guides everywhere!
Really appreciate it! Thank you for the kind words!
this was very helpful, was trying to figure out how to get mods for ME-LE with Vortex not knowing that there was a separate mod manager lol
Glad I could help!
Didn't know you until 30 minutes ago but I want you to know I now love you
The feeling is mutual ❤️
I would have to agree
Thank you!! I've been through so many tutorials and yours was the first to explain what to do when the manager doesn't target the game automatically.
Happy to help!
Thank you so much I just got into mass effect and I decided I want to mod it on my PC this was a big help I know I have already said it but thank you.

You sir, are a scholar and a gentleman
As are you
Just a quick note that some mods will require you to APPLY the mod after the INSTALL MOD option in the ME Tweaks Mod Manager
You should do this with every mod just to be safe
What will happen if you don't do that? Will the game crashed?
Thank you so much, the most straightforward tutorial so far
Happy modding!

This video was mean to show the easier way and using the mod manager is by far the easiest way :)

Is it a 100% necessary to make back ups for modding?
It is not necessary at all. If you don’t mind reinstalling your game if anything goes wrong with the modding, then you don’t need to back anything up

You were true to your word, very simple indeed, thank you!! (Your likes are almost at 420 - You're so close!!"
Lets go!!!
Thank you very much ❤❤❤
No, thank you!
do you need texture mods for gameplay mods
Nope. If there is a gameplay mod that for some reason needs a texture mod, the mod page will list all required mods.
Kinda late to ask, but do I need to turn off any overlay stuff before I start downloading mods? Or am I good to just go ahead
As always it’s better for performance to turn off overlays. But I personally never do and it’s not a requirement
Thank you very much :-)
No, thank you!
Haha! I've followed your tutorial to a tee, all is well! However, do I have to press 'apply mod' before starting the game?
Its works, How do you remove some mods?
I deleted one of the mods entirely, and its still implanted in the game generally.
I’m the mod manager there should be options to disable mods
Do you have any tips for steam deck ME legendary mods?
I’ve never done it!
I don't know if you'll see this but what's the difference between Install Mod and Import?
Installing actually puts it in the game files
@@MrFightmonster118 thanks so much man!
Hiii, quick question. Does it still work? I always wanted to try out mass Effect legendary edition with mods 🥺
Yes this method still works!

Reinstalling the game on whatever platform you have it installed on will be the easiest way to wipe it clean for sure

@MrFightmonster118 fortunately i figured it out. I just need to connect my nexus account
do i mod with ME3 TWEAKS MOD MANAGER or MASS EFFECT MODDER
GREAT QUESTION!!!! ME3 Tweaks mod manager is for most content mods that you can get. Mass Effect Modder is used primarily for texture mods!
will this work for non-steam version???
Yes this will work on any version of MELE
How do you manually add a mod to the manager?
Drag the files into it
Do I need to apply mod? Or no?
Yup
@@MrFightmonster118 thanks!
when you say target the application how do you do that
You click on it in the file explorer pop-up!
Does this work on the game pass version? ik some games you can only mod if it’s bought on steam
It’s worth giving it a shot!
So for some reason, nexus isn't showing the mods when I downloaded them.
They wouldn’t appear on nexus, they would be on whatever drive you downloaded them on
Idk if you’ll respond but the applications when going to backup don’t show up in the files.
I gotta be honest with you… I don’t backup my game files…
@@MrFightmonster118is backing up the files necessary? Like would my saves get corrupted without them?
What about mod load orders?
Depends on the mods you have! General rule of thumb is textures first, content second
@@MrFightmonster118 Textures always go last. No exceptions.
Can I do it on a PS?
Unfortunately no
Can I do this directly on steam deck?
I can’t 100% confirm because I’ve never used one, but I doubt it considering you need the mass effect mod manager installed.
I installed the texture mods before other mods and my game cannot open so I had to redownload the game. So don't be like me
Oof I’m sorry

You’re not a dumbass! Getting into modding a game for the first time can be complicated!
does work sadge.
Yes
Can it work for Xbox one instead of pc
Unfortunately nexus mods are just for PC.
Works on ps5/ps4?
PlayStation has no mod support for this
Is there any way at all I can do this on console because I don't have a pc?
Unfortunately, you cannot mod Mass Effect legendary on consoles conveniently. It is traditionally a PC feature and one of the benefits of PC gaming
@@MrFightmonster118 Conveniently? 😒
@@DjJones100 You can always mod the console but it’s a far more complex and difficult process.
Solution - get a PC!
How do you mod the cracked version?
Not entirely sure! I haven’t had any experience with the cracked version
ME3 Tweaks mod manager does not support unofficial copies.
bro get an adblock or something I beg you
in any case, thanks for the video!
Haha glad you enjoyed
Could you maybe maybe a tutorial video?

If only they allowed the legendary edition of the game to be mid supported for us console players too
