Good video and to the point. A few things have changed since this came out, but for the most part it's accurate. You can selectively restore non-DLC files from the modified basegame files tab. I'd also recommend setting up batch installer lists as it makes fixing issues easier in larger lists. The 'direct' install option from the import screen installs directly to the game, it doesn't import it to the library. I don't recommend it very much, it wasn't a good feature in hindsight. I would also recommend the diagnostics tools in the help menu, and checking out the app settings before you begin downloading mods.

a DLC mod means that it's installed using the method BioWare created for installing DLCs it techincally has nothing to do with the DLCs in the game unless it's a mod for one of them. It was created during the OG ME3 modding days to have an easier way of installing mods without neededing ME3Explorer!

Do you have a tutorial for installing the ALOT mod to me3tweak? I tried using the batch file thingy and messed up my entire ME legendary install (my own fault, I didn't back up first)
I have a question so I am hoping this does work but probably not. But can you use mods from ME3 Trilogy on the Legendary Edition? Like 1 mod called tali remastered (which makes it where you can see tali's face in her masked) from ME3 cause when I try it says that the mod was made for another version of the game (ME3 Trilogy) but I really want this mod on LE3
So, what I am getting from this is that, when using the Legendary Edition, I don’t need to use the “start game” option in the mod manager? I can just log in using Origin? I ask because the “start game” option would just open up Origin for me and not actually start the game.
@@FoodThenGames Yes! They loaded perfectly fine. Thanks! Now, it would be nice to see a tutorial on how to install textures because the process is different and I don’t understand the written tutorials I’ve seen so far 😔😭
Is it possible to manually back up the vanilla files? For whatever reason the back up button in the Mod Manager isn't working for me, meaning I have to do a fresh re-install whenever I want to reset my mods (which is problematic with a game as big as this). I assume there are specific folders/files that the Manager copies, rather than just duplicating the entire game? Appreciate any help in advance. :)

How do you tell if your mod applied successfully? I dragged and dropped the 7zip file, clicked import, then selected apply. A small window popped up for a moment until it reached 100%. Then the window disappeared and that was it. Is it installed correctly? Because of what the mod is, i cant just play the game and immediately find out if its working- it would take hours to get to the section where the mod is.
oddly enough I've had that problem recently too -- but the mods are still showing up in my game. So as long as you can view them in the manage target section you should be fine!
after i install the mod with ME3 Tweaks , i checked make sure the mod is installed in ''Documents\ME3TweaksModManager\mods'' but when i click on '''Manage Target'' it doesnt show the mod that i had install , why that?
For me the mods are installed in the ME3Tweaks folder that I dumped the program files into which isn't in my documents folder even though it makes it's own documents folder -- I'd double check there that there are mods in your LE1/LE2/LE3 in the mods folder there to see if it's missing! The other reason it could not be showing is that it's not a DLC mod so it might be showing in the Textures section or the other section!
You can back up a specific save by going into your documents folder, my bioware, mele, save, pick a game, then back up your save file that way. If you mean though through the mod manager I didn't walk you through it specifically because I don't personally back up my game as I find it easier to repair it through origin if something blows up and just start from scratch.
