i installed mods but my launch button in bg3 mod manager is greyed out and if i try it the other way it is not loading my mods. i have no idea what i did wrong

Also, for anyone new to this video, you can show the hidden folders by clicking on the folder menu: view>show>Hidden Items. Then you don't have to get into the settings or control panel. Also, I got the bug where the script extender notification didn't want to go away but I found a fix online explaining ifyou hit the accept button quickly after it appears it will go away, and that worked. Thanks again!

Best way to keep track where Mod Manager is is by going to the BG3 folder and create a "Mod Manager" folder, and extract the zipped files there. THen you can "send" the .exe file to desktop or pin it to start menu to easily find it.
Very Helpful video. I do have a question though. How do I use mods that are .dds instead of .pak? They're usually texture mods and I'm not sure how to install them.
@@RyanLewis-g9e usually texture mods just need to override the original file manually. Most texture mods will give specifics on where to install, but usually is just overriding base files. Make sure to back up those files though.

So there is a difference between disabled mods vs deleted. Using mod manager, if you move the mod to the right side and save the load out, it will be disabled, but not deleted. The only exception is for mods that replace pre existing art. (Example replacing the way astarion looks baseline to look younger) because that overrdies old art in the base game, it will be active regardless and will need manual changes. To delete mods in general, I delete them manually from my mod folder to make sure I am getting all files required. Some mods will have specific deletion steps depending on the mod.but most are simply deleting the files.
Clicking download buttons in not my problem, its to get the downloaded files into mod manager. Some say its just to drag the pak. files but what if that doesn't work ;(
this video was a huge help when I installed my mods :D however, I have encountered a problem D: the day after installing the BG3MM plus all the mods, I couldn't open the mod manager anymore. I believe I'd made a shortcut to my desktop but it wasn't there, so I went to its location in my file explorer and tried to open it, but couldn't. I could still play the game and the mods were working without issue, but after the game crashed earlier today and I relaunched, it now says the mods have been disabled and thus the save file could be unstable. I don't want to open the save file in case it messes anything up, but I can't for the life of me get mod manager to open. Help >.
@@Blood_Ronin I tried to simply extract the files again from the same zip folder and that seemed to work. Of course, I did that after copying everything and putting it all into one spot because google confused me, so now I have double everything and am also too scared to delete the copies :')
After downloading the bg3 mod manager it askes me to select a root installation folder, I didn't see you cover this and now my mods wont work or load. It keeps saying the game data folder is not valid

Couldn’t get this to work. I got the Death Knight class to show but the image didn’t come through and my other kids that I tried adding with this method didn’t work. I’m not sure what I need to know for load orders. I also notified my UI improvement is only one entry instead of a separate if for assets, and neither show under override. Can anyone direct a lost modding soul? I’m just trying to make a custom party of dwarves.

Hey! I've followed this video but I'm having troubles with launching. Upon launch whether it be by steam or the Mod Manager a tab saying Failed to apply script extender update pops up and I can't use any mods that need it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, validating files and reinstalling the mod manager and trying again from scratch but the same issue persists! Does anyone have a fix for this?
So I followed all the steps, and at the end everything looked like it exported successfully to the game, but when I launch it through the mod manager, nothing has changed on the game when I create a new character. I tried to see if it was maybe the order, but the nexus site was down when I wanted to check. I'll try again tomorrow, but if it's for sure not the order (which I don't think it is), does anyone have any other ideas on what I could try to fix this?
@@justinyork408 it may very well bo the load order. How many mods did you install? I'd recommend only having a small amount to test and then add some more.

i do everything you say, download the mod, and nothing pops up on the right hand side. refreshing shows no mods, but i have a bunch downloaded. its reading the ModFixer, and Improved UI, but nothing else
At first glance, It sounds like you have the mods saved in an incorrect location. Also, only install 1 mod at a time and test. Not all mods are compatible together, or up to date.

This could be several things. Easiest solution would to completely Uninstall mod manager and reinstall it.

Load order still needs to be set if you want full control. I almost never let mods auto.

@@mad00insane you loading a new game or already started campaign? Some mods require a brand new start.
But it may be a load order issue as well.

Try running it without the mod manager. You may have a load order issue or a conflicting mod
I thought I did it right but every time I load in and click new game I spawn in a Dragonborn surrounded by naked dummies 😭
