When companies don’t want to do a interview or decline anything they know they messed up and in the wrong . Until they hear from a lawyer they won’t give you any explanation.

I have a disable child, I started crying thinking I was going to be arrested, I invite him to talk to my neighbors to declare they never seen that car in my house, finally they left my alone, it was a horrible experience.

Yeah, that actually happened to me. I had a private investigator hounding me over a car that they never would pick up. then I was charged $5000 for keeping the car 20 days extra and my bank account went to collections because they wouldn’t right their wrong. There’s no taxi in my city so I had no way to return after giving the rental car back and they kept saying they would pick it up. Glad I didn’t go to jail I guess.

This was a case of user error and not understanding the process. Carvana gives you 7 days from the date of possession to have the car inspected yourself, and sometimes even extend it out to 14 days. And they'll fix any issues the mechanic finds out of pocket, basically bringing the car to near new condition. This woman seems like she never had the car inspected. You can also purchase an extended warranty through them or a 3rd party.
You take even more of a risk when you buy from a random person off the street.
Regarding the titling/plates...I've heard horror stories there. I do think they need to sort all that out and get better.

I went through a credit union and when they hadn't received the title, the credit union threatened to cancel the check for the car. When I asked about the title a few weeks later, the credit union informed me that Carvana had sent them the title the same day they told them about taking the money back.

After 3 months and driven 5k miles, I gave the car back and eventually did get a full refund minus a $23 fee from DMC to dive the car almost 5 hr to turn it in, no reimbursement for gas spent to do so. The agent I worked with almost daily since I bought the car told me to think of it as a free car rental. NO, it was a nightmare!!!! I will NEVER buy another vehicle from them nor any other such dealers!!! I wish I knew a lawyer that would take on a class action suit against them!! I turned in the car over a year ago now. Not to negate anyone's experience, but I had an awesome experience with Carvana both buying and selling. In my state, I needed to go to the DMV and register the car myself as owner. Carvana had given me the completed form to take to the DMV. The process of buying the car and taking delivery was beautiful and simple with complete transparency at each step. A few years later, I sold the car back to Carvana due to relocation. I not only got a great price, the process of selling to Carvana literally took minutes! I am sorry for the negative experience that some people have had but for me and my family, Carvana has proved itself not once but twice. My advice is know the local DMV requirements and be proactive. My state's DMV has the requirements from buyer/seller on their website and it helped to be familiar with them. Thank you and I really hope you benefit from what Carvana has to offer.

Carvana had registered the car in my name already and didn’t take my name off once I canceled the order. I had to get a letter from Carvana acknowledging they made a mistake. It was ridiculous getting someone on the phone who was coherent.

As for title/reg, it may be out of Carvana’s hands. It can take months depending on how backed up the DMV is. Which is why you don’t buy a car out of state. I work for a company that deals with the DMV. I’ve seen them take 6 months to finish up a transfer of a used car from out of state (and we have smog inspections here so it can make it worse). When it comes to car buying, buy local.

    • @sarahcrain792
      @sarahcrain792 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Just because you buy a vehicle out of state doesn’t have anything to do with the smog inspection all you need is the title of the vehicle to take to your local DMV for buying privately owned vehicles
Some people even buy vehicles from car lots out of state and smog has never been a issue it depends on if you live in a county or state where they do have smog inspections I believe a lot of states have smog inspection it just depends on what county you live in because some county’s do not require smog inspections

My sons live in AZ and getting the car from a vending machine would've been a unique experience. You have a 100 day 4,100 mile warranty. Every car has free carfax. You can look at its history (or lack thereof). You can drive the car for 400 miles after you purchase it and still return it within 7 days. If you go over 400 miles and decide to return it, you pay $1 a mile. That is a 7 day 400 mile test drive. How many used car dealers offer that? They sell nearly half a million cars a year. This is "Inside Edition". Sounds to me like the girl who happened to own an RV wanted to register her car in a state that didnt' require emissions (South Dakota). Explain why she would "drive" from South dakota to Phx Arizona? Looks to me like she created her own tangled web, and now is playing the victim.

Yall don’t know that whatsoever. What if she has a disability and cannot work a regular job? Don’t be so quick to assume. The bottom line is she should still have been able to do her job and wasn’t able to because of circumstances outside of her control.

@@samu-chan Nothing wrong with agreeing to disagree but you do realize they make cars for disabled people? Your argument is not very strong in that regard by your logic everyone capable of driving a motor vehicle should be physically able to work a regular job and that’s not necessarily the case. Just my opinion

@@Dh-is5ro Yes, she's bouncing around getting out of the RV with her dogs. Nothing was said she's disabled, the broadcast would have used that to hype the title. She's certainly not missed a meal. Good thing she's not working for GrubHub, half the fries would disappear en route.

I will say, I thought the whole car vending machine thing was just made up for commercials. Like, entirely made-up, fictional, not existing in real-life. It's weird and surreal to think that it's a real thing. I live in a small town so maybe that explains why I've never gotten to see one before. But scammy or not, I'd love to see one someday in person. Feels like something that once it's gone, will be looked back at with nostalgia like "oh the 2020s, those were the days, remember when they had literal car vending machines?"
...Anyway, last year after a wreck totalled my poor Impreza and I was looking for another car, my ex-boss recommended this place and said it was the "best way to buy a car". I almost bought a nice, tempting, affordably-priced Impreza from there. Glad I didn't take her advice... and also glad that, under other circumstances, I don't work for her anymore, and now I'm driving my childhood-dream-come-true, a lovely little 2000s Beetle bought from a family friend🐞💖

Same story over and over again, back in 2022 i saw some news where carvana lost their dealer license, YET they still continued to sell their cars illegally, after their dealer license was voided. This was already ridiculous, i don't know what is happening with U.S justice system, that company should've been closed a year ago.
In that same news edit year ago, there was a woman who got a delivery of audi q5 where she had a different front bumper, different tires at the front, not same as on the pictures.
I don't know why people still haven't heard of carvana, and still catch themself in that trap..
