Crossed paths with you last Sunday, I think it was on Cookies Climb we were heading in opposite direction. First time I've ever ridden to the top of MSM (thank you eMTBs!), it was a blast to be able to spend the day checking out the lake loop, Growler, D.R.E.A.M, and walking parts of Protect Ya Neck! Had to stop partway down on Growler, the leg and arm pump is real! You guys make it look so flawless, and those lines!
@@CapitalMTB The eMTB is a game changer, especially for a not so fit 40 year old guy such as myself! It makes commuting to those networks that are 90+ min out of Ottawa worth it, because now I'm able to ride beyond that 1.5hr-2hr point without feeling extremely fatigued where that 2-3hr is a struggle. The first time I was up at MSM was 8 or so years ago. I had just wrapped up my bmx racing "career", I bought myself a GT Aggressor and a friend that lives up there convinced me to meet him up for a ride. Doing the lake loop in the fall was a BRUTAL experience, especially with a heavy HT and little skillset!
Why did it cut after the slab at the top of the new growler? You go down on that sandy flat corner? I know I did first time riding it haha. Caught me by surprise.
Ha! No but I was a bit freaked out by it for sure. I just stopped there and hiked back up to do it again so I cut the second one with the first one is all.
Thanks dude, it definitely gets a bit tight before you hit the new bridge but I think that’s to slow you down a bit. It always takes a bit to learn the rhythm of a new trail.
