Super cool video chris! Can't wait to do some rides together this year❤
Heck yeah dude this year is gonna be sick!
Great year review Chris!!!!! Happy New Year 2025 to you and your family!!!!! See you on the trails!!!!!
Thank dude! Happy New Year to you too!
Happy New Year to you and your family. Exciting times ahead for you. Thank you for the great videos. Looking forward to the next season. Seeing the new trails being added to our local hills.
Cheers!
I’m stoked for the season ahead and more footage from you! Perhaps I’ll get on my big bike and try and keep up sometime, lol. It’s been inspiring watching you navigate life like a pro this year while staying creative! Cheers 🤘
Anytime and thanks buds ☺️
Chris, this is well done man. Happy new year to you and fam also. You are THE O.G, pro content creator for MBT in the region. I remember seeing your channel a few years ago and thinking, oh cool, finally we've got a guy doing the "BCPOV" thing, but for our region ;).... it's all about building that community, and you're at the core IMO. And I agree, over the past 5-10 years, the region just keeps bringing it... between the Outaouais, the Laurentiens, Les Cantons de L'Est and Quebec city area. We now have some of the best MTB in the world. Here's to 2025 🍻
Thanks dude ☺️. Wishing you an epic 2025 season 🙌🏻
Proud of you Chris. Hopefully we can catch up sometime soon. Let me know if you ever come visit Bryan or find yourself back on the West Coast. You've got a place to stay if you ever want to check out the trails on the Island here, Cumberland is my backyard. All the best to you and the fam in 2025!
Thanks Scott! I’m sure I’ll be back out there at some point, it would be great to link up!
It makes a lot of noise tho
Yes it does! I think the headset was shot..
what is feeling of Norco Sight C1 MX
It feels like it needs to be pushed to the limit to unlock its full potential. It’s extremely capable and very at home in janky terrain. The 2025 model has a long travel version which has 170mm up from 160mm which I think would be pretty cool. I’ve personally settled on the new optic MX with the rockshox vivid our back and I over forked it to 150mm. I feel like this is almost as capable as the sight but slightly lighter and more manoeuvrable.
If you owned the bike you can really get it stealthy. I own one and put a little time on it going through it to get rid of the rattles. It’s ghost silent now. All I hear is the tires and the suspension. It’s a great bike. Mine is dual purpose. Race dh on it and it’s my park bike. I just run single speed for park and it’s freaking ninja quiet. Also. Got a new subscriber. Great content man. Thanks.
Right on! I’m tempted to snag a park version for myself next year but would really prefer it as a mullet 🤔
I watch a lot of my (non riding) youtube vids on a faster speed setting. 15seconds into this vid I had to check if i had it sped up but nope dudes just flying 😂
Ha thanks dude!
Been riding my Bronson all summer with a similar setup. 160 Zeb and a vivid air in the back, XO1 and Hayes Breaks. Did you end up swapping your cranks ? I am thinking about putting on 165’s or 160’s to help with pedal strikes. I ride a Medium I’m 5’8
Yeah I put 165mm on and it was great!
@ good to know before I get all the parts. Thanks !
Hey Chris! Great vid, amazing colors, did the same at Rigaud last week (not quite as rad;) Just wondering what you're running for cams these days as your footage is really nice and crispy. I've been testing the 360-X4 lately with unexpectedly great results but normally run a Gopro 9 & 11, but I've noticed lately that my exported footage (in Resolve "TH-cam" mode) basically looks like mushy crap. Nice small file sizes which is the only benefit. Then others with the same settings look great. Anyway looks like you're running a lens mod...let me know if you have any rendering advice! Cheers
I should really make a video on my GoPro settings… so I am using a GoPro hero 13 black. I shoot at 30p in 5.6k Hyperview with hyper smooth stabilization enabled (no mods). I shoot in natural colour and set my white lance to 5000k. I also shoot in 10bit colour high quality to get the most robust images possible. For post production I’ll make all my tweaks in resolve but I do a custom export and I set the parameters to “force sizing to highest quality”. I find YT compresses the crap outta things so the higher resolution you shoot and the higher quality you export the better it looks. Yes my files are huge ;)
@@CapitalMTB Thanks!
This vid is a gem. Loved it
🙌🏻
yeah, the colors, the close, synced riding, the trail selection... epic $hit.
Chat Sauvage: “Interlude of Gnar” well said.
your camera doesnt give that drop justice! Very Nice that your are doing so easily!
How does it climb? i have a 2023
So the 2024 is more efficient / bobs less but it’s heavier. It climbs efficiently, comfortably and slowly :)
Awesome vid! Looks like I have a few new lines to try in Dechainée next weekend.
🤙🏻
Is vorlage done for the season? Seems like everything else around lift access wise is done for this year.
They usually stay open until November but it depends on weather.
@@CapitalMTBawesome deal i know where im heading this coming weekend
The 2 new wooden features/berms on dechenee are a really nice addition. Looking forward to this coming weekend when it's supposed to warm up.
Heck yeah they were a nice surprise :)
looks like im going to vorlage this weekend
🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Awesome riding!
✌🏻
Call the trail "Nexus"
Does the slab give you the right speed for the trail gap drop in king kong or do you need to brake yourself before? Ty
If you creep into the slab you should be fine. Maybe a tiny little break tap for good luck as the drop kinda slopes down.
Wow. If it wasn't for you talking I would have thought you sped up the video! Amazing.
What are your thoughts on the Mavens? the lever pull “heavy”? Considering them for my light emtb…
Definitely not heavy, pretty much the same as the code ultimates on my sight. Not really sure what all the reviewer were on about tbh
@@CapitalMTB sweet, thx!
Beautiful!
Top Notch! 👌 Riding, Cam & edit work
So sick!!🔥🔥🔥
The level of riding around Quebec City is just absolutely insane. I just got back from a trip there last night, the riding there really is world class.
Yeah it’s mind blowing!
Love my 2022 process 134cr dl 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Nice. Love it!
Did you already replace the dream Sight?
👀
KingKong and Mammouth, both are my favorite trails for a quick ride!
Heck yeah!
For the love of god. Please do a bike review on this whip! I love it!
Keep an eye on full cycle’s TH-cam channel over the coming days ;)
love the camerawork, keep it up!
P.L. Is a legend 💪🏻
✌
🙌🏻
Nice riding Sir! Great control.
Thanks!!
Awesome, I could ride SuperG all day
Yeah man, it’s a blast!
Where are you riding in this video? Looks like a sick place to ride
Sentiers du Moulin, just outside of Quebec City :)
Serious pace in serious jank! Mad video!!
Thanks dude! It’s a wild place.
Looks fun and flowey...will have to take a roadie to QC...thanks for sharing....love your local MTB vids
You must! Thanks eh!
What is the most noticeable difference from the Norco Sight you were riding? Sweet video man.
Good question, there are definitely a ton of differences. First off the wheels are 27.5 front and back where as the sight is a mullet. The wheelbase on both bikes is the same but the range is a bit easier to corner. The sight has a long reach and feels longer in general. The range is definitely more capable with the dual crown fork and longer travel numbers. All that said the shore is a park/DH bike made for going down hill. The sight is an all mountain bike that can get you up and down the hill multiple times.
@@CapitalMTB What size was this Norco Shore Park?
Nice, those trails are pretty fun when know the lines
It definitely helps to follow someone who knows em ;)
I did Farfadert last weekend. Not my favourite trail. But Leon is where it’s at! Love that trail
I like all these trails and Fafardet is growing on me!
@@jf9149 were you able to get any sort of flow on Farfadet? I couldn’t. I tried. lol. You’re probably better than I am, for sure!
Today's episode is brought to you by, nice dude, oh shit and sick! You didn't happen to bump into Phil, he was there this past long weekend I think it was. Great video. Keep it up
Farfadet is fun. The roll at the very end is steep AF
Those trails look really interesting and fun!
Oh man Chris, just watched this at 50% speed to show the lines to my wife. Never laughed so much, you sound so high😂
lol!
Je viens tout juste de la rouler une piste absolument incroyable!
Well that certainly escalated. Nicely ridden!
Ha yeah it eases you in nicely :)
