Kanami did the original composition, and made it challenging, she wrote it in a key higher that Saiki and Dany usually sing in. The Warning went over a couple weeks early, and both bands worked on the song and shot the music video. Lyrics credited to Miku and The Warning. The song is on the new Band Maid album. They have done interviews mentioning that they would like Band Maid to go to Mexico, Dany made the challenge to do a song in Spanish, but joked it would be in a lower key.
Miku (rhythm guitarist/vocalist) wrote the lyrics and let The Warning make the adjustments that they preferred, so it was collaborative and all in English. In a recent interview before the Fukuoka concert at the beginning of the month, Saiki commented that both singers thought the song was set high to match the other person, but later found out that it was Kanami (lead guitarist), wrote the music to push both of them. It is something she likes to do when she writes the music. FYI, Misa is the tallest member of Band-Maid at around 5'7" or 170cm.

I went to Japan to see them live with Band Maid in Tokyo. What a show it was. The Warning came out furst and played for almost an hour. The stage was cleared and made ready for Band Maid, who came out and did the same. Then, they brought Dany, Pau, and Ale back in stage for some fun with the audience. During this, we saw that they were pushing Pau's kit back on stage next to Akane's! All eight of them took their poisitions, and Dany started with her belt to begin Show Them. Trust me, it was better than the music video. I hope they release it soon. When they finished, they affection and resoect they had for each other was made ckear. I was in tears because of my feelings for birth. When I heard they were doing a show together, I put my name in the ticket lottery and got lucky! Im so gkad i went. I saw tgem twice two weeks ago in the LA area with my next show being in Guadalajara! Then, in April, Cologne, Germany and London, England. Yes, I'm a fan. I'm celebrating my recent retirement. Me & GF flew 6,000 miles from oHio to Japan! We spent 10 days in Japan. We stayed 5 days in Kyoto & Tokyo each with day trips to Osaka & Himeji. Was an amazing concert & trip! Was an experience we both will cherish forever! Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
There is a VLOG that The Warning released about their trip to Japan with footage of the recording sessions with Band-Maid on the collaborative effort. There is a video of the two groups performing the song live on stage during their two-man show. These two groups did become and will remain good friends. That VLOG is well worth reacting to.
They'd gone back and forth on-line on this for quite a while, before _The Warning_ came to Japan 10 days earlier than their scheduled tour dates would require, which is when we really knew something was up. In a recent _Rolling Stone Japan_ article, Saiki says: "We explained that we wanted our Japanese listeners to understand the lyrics intuitively as well. Also, I wanted Dany to say, “You can do it!”, which she apparently found funny. In any event, both bands are very friendly with each other and fans of each other, as well as enjoyed their time together enormously during that trip, so it was a clear no-brainer for them to collab. They most definitely want to do more, perhaps next time in Mexico... we shall see!!
So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. TW went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. MISA the bassist is the tallest maid at 5'7" in height which is pretty tall for even US females. The 2 guitar players for BM are under 5'2"......Danny and Saiki are basically the same height at 5'4"

It's sort of ironic because MISA-san is the tallest Maid at 5'5" or 5'6" and I believe Alejandra is 5'6" or 5'7", the tallest of the sisters. MISA was actually crouching when she was slapping. Oh, and MISA likes to play barefoot which makes her look even shorter alongside Alejandra.
Dani must be the Warning Siren. But . . . no. MISA is the tallest member of BAND-MAID. Then again, that's only 5' 7", so... Any bass will look big on her, let alone a 5 String.. But they're about the same height. MISA's stance is just wider and she's bending over more.
The song was composed by Kanami to accommodate both bands. But it's pretty obvious that it was made easier for The Warning. I've got albums by both bands and the singing suited Dani the most as Saiki does not usually sing this high for so long. The main thing was that they got to sing and play a new song together after waiting for 2 years, which was what they wanted. You probably know the Mexico connection- The most views of the Band-Maid song Thrill in 2014, came from Mexico, 2,000,000 in total in the first two weeks and saved them from being dropped by their agency. Band-Maids first show outside of Japan was in Mexico, as a thank you.
