I think Band-Maid and The Warning may be the new "Power Couple" in rock. They have even hinted that another collaborative effort together is in the future. I can't wait!

So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. They went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future. Kanami wants B-M to come to Mexico and and Dany wants the collab to be in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color.
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo in June where they live debuted this song Did catch the premiere of this video too. Nice to get to read the lyrics on this one Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
I do want to say to the fans (and anyone else) to pay close attention to the lyrics. It is a powerful indictment of the world situation, I love these girls BOTH groups have created quickly a song directed at the current situation, encouraging positive and direct feelings. They are on the side of good for sure.
First of all, Jordan, we, the typical music fans, do not notice nor care where and how the clviuces were recorded. This song rocks! I've seen BM three times, and the only time I've seen TW was the show they did together in Tokyo! Both bands are even better live. When they closed the show with this song, I was in tears. The love and respect they have for each other was so obvious. They, too, were nearly in tears. As a matter of fact, Misa, the bass player for BM, cried when saying goodbye to Ale, TW's bass player. What I'm trying to say is that THIS video, while awesome on its own, tells so little of the story between these two powerhouse female rock bands. I'm now scheduled to see the Warnjng 5 times in 4 countries over the next few months. If you've nit seen either of them live, yiu must remedy that. Great reaction. Oh... I don't think I noticed it until you highlighted it, but now I do. The vocals don't fade out or decay like they would in a live performance giving it a slightly "studio" sound. That, and the vocals are just a little high in the mix to begin with. This is all nitpicking, though; I love the song and the ladies who performed it. 🎀⚠

I'm a long time Maidiac. I love this collaboration. I have been "aware" of The Warning since they did their Enter Sandman cover many many moons ago. I have always "liked" them, but I never gave them my proper attention till this past weekend whilst on a road trip. They have a new fan. They're great. A totally different rock style to Band-Maid but familiar to me..... A sprinkling of Stoner/Sludge. Both bands are great in there own right and I wish nothing but success for both. hacia adelante y hacia arriba & 前進と上向き (Forward and Upward).
Thanks from Japan 有難う 💛。 I witnessed the live debut of this song 😍 that was played as the encore & finale of the special concert by Band-Maid & The Warning on June 12 in Roppongi, Tokyo . My seat was located on the 2nd floor but in the center meaning in front of the two drummers. I was in bliss! It looked to me that Paulina and Akane literally and happily competed like a duel to see which drummer can kick harder enough to break their bass drum in the joint performance. 🤣 (FYI : In the special concert, The Warning, who opened as the special guest, performed so powerful that the Maids were fired up to start their turn with fullest energy as the hostess band. It was fun like a kind of martial arts between two fighters respecting each other. 😄)
I don’t know if intentional, but this is a very good way to promote each other; BAND-MAID promoting the warning in Asia, and in turn when they go to Mexico to record in Spanish, it will be the warning’s turn to promote them in Latin America.
I'm a japanese and I like both Band Maid and Babymetal.yes they are different but I don't think BM is better than Babymetal just because they write songs and play instruments.Babymetal has reasons to be loved by so many fans and they should never be put down.I know that even BM would never think of themselves as better band to Babymetal for sure.

Duel or battle is a typical male perspective, these ladies have a cozy tea party with a cookie You already know that Saiki doesn't have the same level of English as Danny. I've rarely heard Saiki speak English so well, and when Japanese people speak English, it always sounds a bit choppy.
This was pretty awesome! Great musicianship and a fun song! I do think, though, that the mixing, mastering, and overall audio production could've been a bit better. Not only were the vocals flat (like you said), but they were a bit too "present" and "in your face." Also, the overall mix of the instruments was sort of "mushy" in that individual instruments tended to get lost in the mix when they were all playing. To be fair, though, mixing 3 guitars, 2 basses, and 2 drummers is a feat on its own. Lol
If you like bass then check out Band Maid 'Hate?' live, plus the lyrics dont pull any punches, apparently its about the husband of a friend of Saiki (lead singer) who cheated on his wife. Seen The Warning when they toured the UK 2024, they were brilliant, unfortunatly havent seen Band Maid as they haven't toured Europe for several years - live in hope.
Baby Metal is a gimic. 3 cute girls dancing in front of guys playing power chords. The Maids and The Warning are 8 badass ladies that absolutely crush it on stage. These 2 groups are the real deal.

A fantastic collab. Not their strongest as a stand alone for either band, but I think it has done it's job in bringing eyes and ears to each band. And as much as I enjoy Baby Metal, let's not compare them with Band Maid. Yikes.
Band-Maid to me sounds original and awesome. Great riffs, catchy hooks, great classic, hard rock sound for the most part. The Warning on the other hand is more like a mainstream modern hard rock band that sounds like most other bands of the same genre. And Dani's vocals are, to me, annoying.
BABYMETAL and BAND-MAID are NOT similar at all. BM are 3 singer/dancers with a backing metal band(Kami Band). Formed by the music corporation. B-M are a genuine and true rock band with it's own genre. The only similarties is that both bands have only females.
I'm back! You HAVE to react to some live performances by the Warning! Start with Evolve from the 2033 MTV MVAs. Yiu might as well make it a double reaction and do More from the same show. That will give you a real taste of these girls' talent. After this, start going through their concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX. This is one of the best recordings of a live show ever. And, their performance is delicious!

I do agree that the vocal editing is a bit sudden at points, but they did record their sections at different times.

The vocals were too far forward in the mix, and very dry (no effects). It made them stand out a bit too much.
