Actually, What Sabaton has achieved here is quite a feat. Remember, the song is about Rommel's Ghost Division, and they are performing at Woodstock.

CreekLegacy In one of the Sabaton History episodes, Indy mentions that he started playing keyboards around the time that Sabaton started out, so it’s not impossible that they were in some of the same circles in the beginning, even if they didn’t know who each other were. There’s also the special Indy filmed as host of The Great War where he and Pär discussed the songs Sabaton had released that dealt with World War I, such as “Angels Calling”, “Cliffs of Gallipoli”, “The Price of a Mile”, etc

    3:40 "He must be fit!"
I live in a place with reasonably high elevation and when Sabaton toured there, Joakim was jumping rapidly during one of the songs (I think it was To Hell and Back but I'm not certain). After that song, he said, "I always forget about the elevation here, I'm fucking winded!" The whole audience laughed. Definitely in good shape, there was little pause to the next song and he had his breath back easily. If he'd not said that I'm not sure I would have been able to tell.

Believe it or not, you just learned some WWII history! The "Ghost Division" was a name given to the German 7th Panzer Division during Operation Case Yellow which was the invasion of France and the Low Countries ( Holland, Luxembourg, Belgium ) in the spring of 1940. They drove so deep past the infantry and support soldiers that they lost contact with command and no one knew where they were! That's where the name "Ghost Division" comes from! Just remember that Sabaton cares DEEPLY about history and you will get some learning in when you watch them!

    • @burnheretic3950

I think there is a bit more to the story and General Erwin Rommel led that blitz. Considered the best tank commander of all time. After making this huge push he realized he was basically alone with just a few tanks and armored cars he told them to hold their location wial he turned around and charged his tank by itself all the way back the way he had come to reestablish communications with his ground and supporting units firing at the French that where on either side of him on his return trip. He successfully made it back and gathered forces to go back to were he had left the remainder of the 7th Panzer division....the Ghost division. Before he made it back his group of tanks had swept over more than 40 miles (this may be a conservative number, not sure of total distance). The French started calling them the Ghosts due to their ability to come out of nowhere, in locations that were thought to be friendly. There is much more to the story but this is a small bit. Worth reading a bit more about.

I'd say Beth, Welcome on the best Polish festival, with over 500 thousands people under the stage. Keeping the level of vocals and entertainment as Sabaton and Joakim himself does in front of a crowd big as that makes me think it requires much more than just skill and practise, but the big part of this show happens in artists minds. Thank you for the analysis of the performance, I've really enjoyed listening to what's your opinion on Sabaton, see you on other videos :). Have a nice day

You should react to Sabaton Great War (Live from Oberhausen) next
Or: Attack of The Dead Men (Live from Wembley, The Great Tour)
or: Price of a Mile (Live from WOA 2019)
Or: 40:1 (Live from WOA 2019)
40:1 will give you chills! It was the bands 20 year anniversary. So it was a band reunion with all the original band members from when Sabaton started.

Sabaton, swedish vikings, the energy and power is there, to quote joakim and his private life, beer and happiness = So much energy. Awesome man Joakim. Saw them live many times! A true pleasure. Also, the rolling R's? In his quote, is to hide the swedish accent, so pronounciating heavily and rolling r's is hiding the swedish accent. To quote himself.

Such a pleasure to have your reaction videos, where it's not just impressions, but also clear, solid analysis.
Has anyone recommended David Bowie's Teenage Wildlife? It's possibly his most insane, over-the-top performance, where he puts all the tricks in his repertoire to use. I think it was intended to be a parody of Bryan Ferry (and you can hear that), but it's so much more, such a crazy ride, going into so many directions.
