    It's hard to get 650 000 people, mostly Poles, to sing about WW2 German tank battalion... But with Jocke's knee-beating, everything's possible I suppose.

      Basically Poles love war history. One of the few nations in europe today that respects history. Poles have constantly fought for their independence between superpowers and know how to respect history.

    The history behind the song:
    7th Panzer Division, a German armored division, was so fast in penetrating the Low Countries that Rommel, then the equivalent of a US lieutenant colonel, had to stop for fuel three days' advance from Dunkirk. When Guderian asked where Rommel was, he said he didn't know.
    On the flip side, had 7th Panzer not needed to refuel and resupply, the 338,000 British troops attempting to evacuate Dunkirk would have been forced to surrender -- and may well have caused Britain to surrender in 1940.

      @TheGodEmperorofMankind : Sorry, mental klump, you're wrong. How do I know? Because Britain DID NOT HAVE RADAR in 1940 -- which is the weapon and tool they used to defeat the Luftwaffe, as radar allowed the RAF to consolidate their inferior overall numbers against smaller numbers of Luftwaffe fighters.
      Forgotten by a lot of people is the fact that the Luftwaffe actually had better planes and were numerically superior to Britain in 1940. So no, you're wrong, had Rommel and Guderian, in 1940, captured the 338,000 men at Dunkirk, Britain would have sued for peace -- because their air force could not outfight the Germans, 1 v 1, they would have lost the bulk of the British Army, and they did not have the industrial capability to continue the industrial side of the war by themselves. The US had not yet declared war against Japan -- which meant that Lend-Lease was the only thing keeping Britain in the fight. Had Britain lost the majority of her fighting men, she would have not had the means to continue fighting -- not to mention that Germany, had they not lost Bismarck, they had, in the works, at least 6 ships -- 3 carriers and 3 heavy cruisers -- that could have beaten the RN at Scapa Flow, when added to the strength of the Kriegsmarine surface fleet in 1940, excluding the Tirpitz battlegroup in the North Sea. Germany outnumbered Britain with her u-boat numbers by 3:1. Britain may have had over 60 destroyers, but most of those destroyers (50) were old US WWI destroyers -- and against the wolfpack tactics of the Kriegsmarine, combat ineffective. Not to mention the Luftwaffe was based in southern Norway -- and their numbers have to be considered.
      All in all, had Britain lost those 338,000 men, she would have surrendered. She would not have had the men to continue the fight, and materiel without manpower is useless. Because of this, the Royal Navy would have been ineffective, and the Kriegsmarine could have engaged the Royal Navy at a time and battlefield of their choosing, bringing in a consolidated combined-arms strike that would have wiped the Royal Navy out.

      @TheGodEmperorofMankind If my memory serves me right, the Luftwaffe crippled RAF's ability to defend the nation via constant bombing runs but then Churchill ordered a pretty insignificant bombing run on Berlin which made Hitler turn his attack and direct it to civilian locations which gave the RAF breathing space allowing them to pick thrmselves up and fight back.

    • @AVGyerra22
      @AVGyerra22 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @TheGodEmperorofMankind Also side note Churchill wasn't the prime minister yet during the first stages of war (invasion of Poland), it was Neville Chamberlain and his take on the war was different and he had hoped the war could have been solved diplomatically but then resigned after an embarrassing defeat on Norway. Don't be too hyper-aggressive if you're not sure about your answers.

    Sabaton is one of my favorite bands. They released a new album called The Great War last year in July and it's all about WW1. I would HIGHLY recommend the songs "Attack of the Dead Men" and "Seven Pillars of Wisdom" from that album. The entire album is fire. You should also check out more Amaranthe! Love watching your videos! Keep it up! :)

    Hands down one of my favourite bands. Other great songs to react to: uprising, Gott mit uns, resist and bite, night witches, white death. Big epic ones like price of a mile, rise of evil. Really deep ones like inmate 4859, final solution... They have so many hidden gems, both musically and lyrically speaking. Definitely worth checking them out. Cheers!

    Definitely my favorite, most energetic live Sabaton performance! I've been to a metal festival before, but never one highlighting awesome Symphonic/Power/Prog/Gothic etc. bands, which I'd love to do someday. Amaranthe released a single a few days ago, and it features Angela Gossow, of course former Arch Enemy vocalist! It's called "Do Or Die," and I hope you check it out at some point!

    Awesome reaction, my first with you, not the last. I was a metal head from late 15 to now that im 59. This band my son actually made me listen to and now we have seen them live When i was 16 and i was wearing a denim jacket with cutoff sleaves with maiden on the back, i got abused by a guy who was arounf 25 trying to take the piss out of metal and people listening to it. Even in Sweden who was one of the most open countries for metal, we had the most amount of metal bands recorded if u look at number of people obv, england had more and USA even more but also more people. But still people sometimes was being abusive against young metalheads and this guy even started to hit me when i talked back to him, breaking my nose. Today its so different, we have soo many bands and easy access to whatever u wanna watch, im so happy im still around to see all this metall. Ty again for a good reaction
