Can you tell us about classes time
Do they have mbbs prgm in aua or is it just md and pg prgms?
@@GraceAdams-pw9pe it’s only a MD post graduate program. They do have a 2 year program pre-med called AICASA, but I’m not sure what you receive towards the end, but you can definitely contact the school to inquire about it!

Never too late. I myself am 41 and I am attending a Caribbean med school and I am not the oldest in my class. Go for what you truly desire.

Glad you were able to get into another school. But how do you feel about having to start over from md1?
Thank you! Honestly, I felt kind of annoyed having to start over because I'm like I already know this. But I changed my thinking into this is all review now, and now I have a second opportunity to ensure this information is engrained and throughly learned, and increases my chances of doing well on the step! So now I'm happy where I am and just anxious to complete my basic sciences 😅

Yay! That’s amazing to hear! Can’t wait to see you on campus! So far, the school has been pretty good, great support advisors for academics and such! Another Vlog is coming soon, just been busy prepping for our first exam and studying 😅
What are the costs, if any? Are you financing it or your parents? Just curious as I suspect many viewers would like to know what they would need to save.
Tuition ranges around 25-28k, living and grocery expenses vary but it is expensive I want to say groceries is about $1000-$1500 CAD a month. I am taking out a loan for my school but my parents also help me out where they can.

How is the residency match rate success at AuA?
It’s pretty good! A lot of students match into so many fields of study which is one of the reasons why I picked this school
If you don’t mind me asking, what is the general range of stats for students at this school
So you are starting from m1 again, no credit being transferred?
Yup! None of my credits transferred from MUA

I can't believe I am not alone. I have 192 credits from M4 at The University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, I got dismissed due to leave of absence that took 2 years. I am also going to start from M1 again.
@@n.a5809 I believe it’s because the curriculum is different. MUA is a subject based curriculum and AUA is a system based curriculum so different material was covered in different semesters
@@magicaltumi4264 I’m so sorry to hear that! Trust me, you are not alone! It’s happened to so many students, you wouldn’t believe! A lot of students have kept quiet about it because it’s a lot and many people judge those that have been through his, but it’s nothing to judge, it all happens unfortunately. But you have a team supporting you all the way! Keep going and don’t give up on your dream! ♥️
Is AUA program 4 years long? Or 4.5 years?
It honestly depends, it’s technically 4.5 years, 2.5 years basic sciences (since it’s semesters instead of trimester) and then your 2 years of clinical rotations. Of course timelines so differ depending on student circumstances but that’s typically the standard timeline for AUA.
