I’m a long time eBay seller as well, and I can tell you right now, their seller protection is horrible. With them, it’s all about the buyer. There are so many scammers buying products, then claiming refunds, and sending you back either a damaged (old) product, something completely different, or an empty package altogether. In eBay’s eyes, so long as the delivery confirmation is scanned delivered, then the seller is liable.
I was the guy who was hammered in comments when I said Beckett will say unlikely with EVERY auto item. No one was able to provide a single auto of a person who they said LIKELY REAL about. Now…….

So someone in the chat asked "So PSA has never graded a card in error?" Yup,there clearly was an error when SCR used their PSA/DNA QuickOpinion and got back a Likely Not Geniune assessment. The Auto is good so cue the PSA is incompetent/ BGS was correct rants in 3..2..1..

These guys if you watch there episodes are some of the most real wholesome guys in the hobby. And there not trying to make a quick buck for a fake auto if they knew it was fake. I’m so glad they came up real, you guys keep doing you and keep them episodes coming.

I asked if they were authentic, and he responds “yes”. Only a few are graded. All others are raw. All raw cards are selling for 50 dollars. Some for 25. Do I take a chance on one? @@Vols-1985 CC is the one the brought up the Ty Cobb auto and his decision to sell it raw. I would say he should address that one. Did he decide not to sell it? What happened to it?
It never was listed. I came in the same collection of the Rock cards. We sent it in as well. It didn’t authenticate. And Rick said on camera he didn’t know if it would. Therefore…. WE NEVER TRIED TO SELL IT. Keep Chasing!

Some time should have been taken to look into the issues raised before being called out on it. Item was only send for authentication after the fact. So whether there good guys or not or auto was real or fake just dont relist the card the 2nd time without doing anything about what was raised. could have made what turned into a mountain into a molehill.
Ty didn’t create the mountain. Others did. Ty did his due diligence and had the card looked at before he listed, and listed knowing it was real. Turns out he was right. :) Most eBay stores his size don’t risk selling fakes for the sake of the stores reputation. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Your missing the point here mate, having a good heart etc is irrelevant, you can be a good person and still make mistakes. But the fact is they RELISTED a card that had authenticity questions so instead of taking some time to look into it they just RELIST said card and with no changes to the listing. And once they get called out on it AFTER THE FACT is when they finally send of the card to be Athenticated. And on top of that blame hobby negativity and weakly imo taking any real accountability and then they DELETE there videos. So had nothing to do with card being real or fake or if there good people.

But in this particular instance the buyer raised concerns so then the onece is put back on the seller to then satisfy the sellers concerns. Instead card was immediately just relisted and without any adjustments to listing etc. And then only sent for authentication after being called out for relisting item without authentication.

You are right Ty handled this wrong, he should have never took down the 2nd listing! Anyone trying to stand on solid ground and say these guys were in the wrong has gone bat s*** crazy. The auto was real! They listed a real auto. SCR hitched their horse to a story about a “fake” auto that was actually real. That’s the storyline that should irritate you

In SCR’s defense, they did reach out to PSA and BECKETT regarding those cards are were told they would not pass authentication. I bet the orwinner of the card is prob the most pissed right now. Coulda had a 500-600 card for under $100 smh. But I can understand the hesitancy. But also. Don’t bid or buy something your unsure of.

Actually we deal in millions of cards all year. So grading every card… we’ll that would be costly. So, we due our diligence to get card screened and previewed before selling. Ty is actually a brilliant businessman. His store is in the top 100 stores on eBay.

For what it's worth, I was well-and-truly on your side on this. The only thing I suggested was keeping the video up, not taking it down. I've never been a fan of the 'Quick Opinion'... in fact, I'm not a fan of Third-Party authentication, full stop!

I’m still on the fence with this. Ty definitely handled this wrong to begin with, and these guys definitely have a hint of used car salesman to them. Definitely looking forward to SCR doing a deep dive into how these cards were magically authenticated 😂

Anyone trying to stand on solid ground and say these guys were in the wrong has gone bat s*** crazy. The auto was real! They listed a real auto. SCR hitched their horse to a story about a “fake” auto that was actually real. That’s the storyline that should irritate you

In SCR’s defense, they did reach out to PSA and BECKETT regarding those cards are were told they would not pass authentication. Looks like CC changed their eBay user name recently, another head scratcher. Something just doesn’t add up here.

Actually we deal in millions of cards all year. So grading every card… we’ll that would be costly. So, we due our diligence to get card screened and previewed before selling. Ty is actually a brilliant businessman. His store is in the top 100 stores on eBay.
