    As always, a really useful topic that is actually applicable in our photography, but delivered in such an engaging and interesting way. Ricoh, you've hit the absolute jackpot by partnering with Lukasz, easily the best photography TH-camr that exists today

    Fine video. I saw a lot of your videos. Really liked them. What you told while using the GR about fishing and hunting I experience myself as well. Like the Ricoh! Also saw you with Samuel a lot of times. The way you walking in the streets is very special. Like your moves with your arms while walking! Greetings from the Netherlands!

      Thank you so much!! Haha, thank you for liking how I walk! I try to keep it flowy. :)

    What about using back button focus while fishing? Very Nice video. Should I wait for the GR4 or buy the 3x already :) as a second camera (have the canon r7 for my more landscape photos). Greets from belgium, Alain

    I've always struggled with fishing. So far, my whole shooting has been hunting, to the extent that lately I hardly slow my pace and simply use faster shutter speeds to freeze motion.

    Clearly done, if only that truck didn’t stop by your subject😊. Sporting of you to keep that bit in the vid. My sense is that fishing works best when passers-by think you are photographing a special subject in the area. If there is no special subject that an “ordinary” person would recognize, then suspicions might be raised and you might stand out. Does that make sense?

      Haha yeah, but I can always go back! I think it's definitely good for the angler to camouflage oneself in order to keep the fish in the proverbial dark. :)

    Toujours au top. J'utilise cette méthode en effet. Cet appareil est formidable. J'aurais aimé un objectif fixe comme les X100 afin d'éviter des risques de poussières qui sont source de stress. J'ai dû me débarrasser du GRII que je regrette pour la qualité de son capteur et sa netteté ainsi que les teintes des photo (comme Samuel). Vous formez une bonne équipe de jeunes que j'apprécie beaucoup. Vous me faites bien rigoler parfois moi qui ait le double de votre âge....Continuez. Merci.

    In order to not get cramps in the index finger i just use BBF. Especially if your fishing trip is longer i think its the more comfortable option

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that works! For me it's actually the opposite. With the way I hold the camera and the size of my hands I find using BBF on the GR to be very uncomfortable. I do use BBF on bigger cameras. :)

    I've been using back button focusing with my GR, it seems essential for a camera like the GR.

    Does the GR IIIx have continuous shooting?

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it does!

    Can you use auto to set focus then switch to manual for the shot.

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure! I find it easier just to hold down the shutter release half way. :)

    Interesting video, thanks, but I’m surprised you didn’t mention using snap focus in conjunction with finger tapping the back screen - surely this would’ve been the most effective in a lot of those scenarios?

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore ปีที่แล้ว

      I find tapping the screen while holding the camera with one hand to be very difficult. And as you can see, I use it with one hand often. :)

      @@EYExplore - Thanks, I guess it’s a personal thing. I’ve just bought a GRiiiX….what do you recommend for the custom 3 User Settings, have you done a video about it? - Cheers

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WatchDSSID @Peter Foot I never use the 3 custom user settings. I only ever use M or Av and just dial in what I need. We did a video recently about GR settings on our channel.
