They are basically sponsoring themselves. There wage bill is much higher too as sponsors are paying wages on top of their salaries. They should be relegated to league 2. Once isn't good enough.

We all know this. City players have their wages but they get paid extra from sponsors(owned by the same people) so City's "wage bill" is a lie. Add an extra 100-200k for each player and you will probably have the correct amount.

Well they were already thrown out f the Champion's League for their dodgy financial dealings, but once again ACAS came to the defence of the guilty party. I think the information released to the public after that left no doubt as to their guilt. I have no confidence that justice will prevail this time either.

In 2008 they were mid table lower table fodder. Then all of a sudden a decade later they are showing similar revenues to real Madrid the biggest club in the world. Something definitely fishy that's for sure. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are the biggest clubs in England even before the premier league. The likes of the new money such as Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG have destroyed football.

If the charge is essentially that they are spending beyond their means, then by the same logic Chelsea and Newcastle should automatically get the same sanctions.
Nah Newcastle spent barely anything for 15 years which left them in a good position regarding FFP and have only spent 250m in 1 year and it counts over a 3 year period where you can have a loss of up to 105m.

Spending £250m in one year would likely be a breach by the time that first 3 year cycle is over unless their revenue shoots up in the meantime. Obviously that three year cycle hasn't happened yet - ditto Chelsea - but you get my point.
Newcastle could offset their ffp with new shirt and possible stadium rights, it will be means tested which is why they are waiting to see if they get champions League football before making new deals.

considering we got a two year ban (albeit from Fifa) for two violations of a relatively mundane rule, I wonder what theirs will be for 100 violations of a more serious matter. I seriously doubt it'll impact them severely though, the PL's marketing interests preclude them from being willing to deduct points, this season anyway
