Good video, Stephanie. We've been watching your videos since you dropped your delivery episode. We lived in Nashua, NH most of my life (now in Florida) so it's great to see the motherland zoom by out your windshield on your trips to and from home. We should be getting our new 2022 Model Y LR in August or September, so until then, we're living vicariously through you. And for the record, we love Maine!
So cool! I sure hope you get yours sooner than later. I need to get back to Florida. It’s been a few years. We used to go every year. Thanks for watching!
I got my Y on June 14, it had three scratches that needed the body shop to fix and I needed Tesla to install a Homelink module in my car. Dropped the car off yesterday (June 29) at 11:00am, the Tesla app says my car will be ready JULY 6 @ 5:00pm!!!!!!!!!! A whole week!!!! The only consolation is they gave me a 2018 Tesla X as a loaner.
I have been to 3 service centers in the Mass area and Peabody was and has been the worst for me. Tesla's attract issues. I have not had my car a year yet and been hit 3 times. Twice in store parking lot and my first time was the day after getting delivery and got hit from behind. I have gotten my body work at Moody's in the Portland area as they are a certified body repair shop. All three incidents have not been my fault and sentry mode filmed all three and makes me wonder how I survived without it before.
I suppose they do! I ended up at moodys as well back in January due to someone hitting my car while it was parked. 🙄 Moodys did a great job though. I was happy with my experience there.
Just FYI, the yellowing on the iPad charging cable is due to heat when the internal cables are damaged and possibly shorting. Might want to swap them out to avoid the chance of a fire.
We live in York county and are about to purchase a Model Y LR. How has the car performed for you? Hopefully winter driving performance and battery life is good? Hope you are enjoying the car. Great videos!
Hey! Congratulations. Super exciting time. The car has been wonderful. I can’t imagine driving anything else. Hardly a difference with the battery during the winter. It can get a little tricky though when the roads are slippery and the degenerative braking happens. Good thing is it doesn’t work when it’s colder than about 30 degrees so that helps when it’s cold. I wish it could be turned off. As you know, braking when it’s slippery out can be dangerous. It’s much better to glide and roll to a stop and you can’t do that when the degenerative braking happens…
@@Stephielifts Thanks! This is our first Tesla purchase and you know much they cost, so definitely a little nervous. Its nice to know it turns off at lower temps. I think they are about to roll out a "low-regen" mode pretty soon, so maybe that will help? Demo'd a Y at the Peabody showroom yesterday just to make sure we wanted to keep our delivery date. I have to fly to NJ next week (pick up in Paramus). Awesome that you're health conscious too. I started getting on a better eating and exercise regiment a few months ago and feel so much better. Thanks again for all the videos. I haven't had a chance to watch many, but absolutely plan to! Have a great summer - perhaps we'll catch you at a supercharger :)
So i was curious with the whole 24 hours or 100 miles after delivery. How does that work if you live a long distance away and it's beyond the home delivery distance so I 'd have to pay for that. I have to go 3 1/2 hours to atlanta to pick my model y up cause alabama doesn't allow third party purchases. So are you basically just not gonna get that option unless you stay overnight at the pickup city and look at it through the night for any issues.
I guess so. Definitely get a good look at it before you leave the lot. I sat right in the parking lot before driving it and reported the dent and scratch. I didn’t notice the window water issue until days later. I just added it at that point and they covered it. Well, looked at it at least. They also popped that 2nd dent out that I didn’t report until I got there (3 weeks later). I think it all depends on who you deal with too. The guy I was communicating with just treated me well. They rightfully could have charged me for that second dent and didn’t.
The water issue in your window is normal. Happens to all of them, mine included.. when you are done washing your car just drop your window and dry it off quick.
No it's not. I've had a 2018 model and a 2022 Model Y Performance and nove them have leaked. Furthermore, 8 have several friends that have Model 3s and Ys and them have this water leak issue that you say is normal.
Hi Stephanie, just got my Certificate of Origin so I can register my Tesla at the Local town Hall here in Northern Maine…enjoy the 4Th…
Ha! Just registered mine yesterday and paid the taxes... nearly 5k ! I nearly threw up!
@@Stephielifts Hi Stephanie, I paid $4400 with registration, Sales Tax, Excise Tax, stickers for next year…and of course inspection 🧐
@@reidelnord I paid 4,900!! I need to go get it inspected now.
@@Stephielifts good luck 👍

That’s a worth loner !!!
Yikes! I have heard they try to give you a better loaner than what you have. Enjoy it!

That’s great you got your dents fixed! I haven’t tried vans either for squats.
Tried them yesterday! They worked out great. I just need to break them in a bit.

Well isn’t that interesting! Thank you.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for the repair update..I will be there soon. BTW, what exit did you get off on 195 for Peabody?
No idea! Good luck. 😆
@@Stephielifts I called Tesla, you get off exit 64, then take route 128 towards Glouster.
Sounds like you had a fairly good experience with the service centre. I was curious did they charge you for the charge up?
They gave me a full charge! I was definitely happy about that. Nice perk.
