Thanks for the help! Just change my brakes and rotors on my 2015 X3. Aside from the wrench slipping and punching myself in the face, it went pretty smooth.
Hey, just stopped by to say hi. Slept in my truck behind FCP Euro in Milford CT last night and had fun staring through the windows at the many cool vehicles inside. Can't wait to buy another Volvo so I can get my parts through you all again.
For those that are here , I was able to remove the sensor without damaging it . Follow the wire up from the caliper and remove it from two brackets . Then remove the caliper and flip it over . Remove the pad with the sensor . You will have enough slack to out a thin screwdriver under the sensor and pop it up and out . Easy peasy
In our vehicle, the sensor had not been activated, so there was no code to clear. If you have one though, you will want to go in with a scan tool and reset the code!
@@fcpeurono scan tool is necessary. Just go into the BC diagnostic mode and clear it out. There are videos on how to do the oil reset. It works the same way for the brake trigger sensor.
❤ Your energy and enthusiasm made me consider becoming a BMW mechanic 😂 Splendid man thumbs up 👍.

probably a good idea to clean and lubricate the caliper slide pins.
Great note!
Please do oil filter housing replacement on the G01 with the aftermarket Rein aluminum ofh.

How about resetting the Brake Pad alarm in the Dashboard?

I replaced the brakes and they are still squeaking. I used lubricant from the local shop. What paste do you recommend to use?
Brake grease
Tnx man ❤
