Been a mechanic since 84 and I tell a lot of friends and family if they took the time to learn how to do some basic repairs on their cars they can save a ton of money just by doing their own oil and brakes… You make it very easy for someone to get this done and your delivery and presentation hits all the focus points dead on!!! Good Job!!!
I appreciate the video because I need to replace the front brakes and rotors in my 2019 BMW X3 that has only 40,000 miles on it that has never been subjected to high-speed braking. Meanwhile, my Chevy suburban with 92,000 miles on it still has perfect brakes. WTF is wrong with BMW and they’re breaking system? Is it really so delicate in the ultimate driving machine?
Hi Jim, bed in is going to be standard for these pads and rotors. Some manufacturers will require a specific process, depending on the procedure, and is usually included with the pad set!
Just did front and rear rotors and pads on my 2009 X3, 80k miles. Following your instructions and it was pretty straight forward. Two thumbs up!!
Awesome!!

Appreciate the kind words!!!
Bottom bolt then top bolt. Then top bolt then bottom bolt for the bracket. You won't have to fight it. Or just leave the bolt in a couple threads.
Great video, but I have one question, how do you reset the brake light on the dash board ?
