This is the only real argument for banning cards imo. If a card is so strong that the rest of your deck can suck but you're still able to win, that card is too strong. Otherwise, Skill Issue
Seth, when you use The Tale of Tamiyo to exile any number of instant and sorceries from your graveyard, the Slime Against Humanity cards see themselves in exile as you cast their copies, so you can just exile all of them at once and the copies will all see each of those cards in exile as you resolve them.
Feels like Occulus is the win con it should focus on "for some reason" but was fun to see. Especially with the state of formats admitting "Ok, yeah, mono red is *STUPID* strong and running every format outside of historic/timeless..."
So hear me out here, I think foundations is the key to making slime against humanity playable. This is because we get 2 huge cards, and a potentially devastating sideboard card. First the good cards for the main deck would be scavenging ooze as it is an ooze to power up our slimes if it is milled or killed, and it can eat opponents stuff for value. The second card is garruk's uprising as our slimes will be entering with greater than 4 power pretty quickly. This will give us a lot of draw to hit more slimes to cast as well as draw into our support cards the fill in the non-slime spots. As for the sideboard inspiring call is disgusting in a slime deck as all of our slimes have +1/+1 counters so we will draw a lot of cards, and it also gives them indestructible until end of turn dodging a lot of board wipes. As for the build of the deck, the deck needs more exile from graveyard effects beyond the tale of tamiyo (which can be huge but slow and prone to removal) and the abhorrent oculus. In the end with these ideas in mind I might try something like this: creature 4 picklock prankster 4 abhorrent oculus 4 scavenging ooze spell 4 cache grab (instead of say its name) 16 slime against humanity enchantment 3 founding of the third path 3 garruk's uprising 3 The tale of tamiyo land 4 hedge maze 4 botanical sanctum 4 yavimaya coast 4 forest 3 island
tale of tamiyo will hit less and less the more sorceries you cut. if you're going down in sorceries to bring in other cards, I'd also cut some or all of the tales
@@kacyhasthecandy I think a few less hits are fine because we have founding of the third path to cast from hand. Also the tale of tamiyo is mostly going to be a bomb if it survives to the last mode.

Since SAH uses +1/+1 counters it's benefits from hardened scales, shattered ozo, and kami of whispers. I ran this with Billy as well in mono green. turbo counters and ramp.
Stone Brain isnt a concern because it only removes four copies of something. The actual card to watch out for is Deadly Cover Up as that can exile all the slimes.
I wonder if a temur version if this with artists talent might work well. Making the slimes cheaper to cast as well as looting more could dig real deep real quick
I dont think its remotely fast enough for Modern but man I really want to see some variant of this with surgical extraction to exile out most of your own slimes to buff the remaining ones while massively thinning your deck. Would also work with Murktide to make that huge too.
I want to see them get a little more creative with this design space. I think they can come up with something beyond scaling damage (or mill) with the number of copies. Imagine a modal version of this type of card, maybe.
I would love to see a rebuild of this deck, before or after Foundations. Even just adding an Oculus, cutting all the Djinn and adding some more useful lands? Maybe a sideboard upgrade? I also don't think you can cut the rubblebelts due to the mana base, there's only 19 lands and man are they rough. Feels like the deck runs too tight. [[The Stone Brain]] is not actually what you need to worry about, as it only removes up to 4 copies, what you REALLY want to watch for is [[Deadly Cover-Up]] and its investigate cost, as it can target ALL the cards in your deck, hand, and graveyard instead of just 4.
I play slime in pauper. Kor Skyfishers and Glint Hawks will teach you that flyers are your main weakness. Fight spells or "target creature deals damage equal to its power" are very important. That should probably be run maindeck and flood maw in the SB for other pesky nonland permanents
i still am curious how well it would work to combine surgical extraction with huskburster swarm and maybe sailors' bane to essentially exile about 10-20 slimes from your own deck before playing huskburster for 1 mana and sailors' bane for 2. then any slime comes out huge from the get-go and you wont draw as many of them
