I Bought a New Horse

So we did sell Dusty because he was 19 years old and he didn’t like to work or learn anything new he only liked going slow and we couldn’t have both him and Jinx because he’d eat too much grass.
I sold Dusty about a month ago and then finally after a month we found Jinx. It wasn’t easy when we were looking for a new horse because the right one just didn’t seem to come up. We looked at one and he wasn’t right. And I did ride Athena in the meantime but I have to be pretty careful with her because she has arthritis in her hind left leg and she is 25.
But then we found Jinx we went to go ride her and she was the perfect one so we bought her on the stop and they brought her right over. I didn’t expect that I would get a new horse that day so I was absolutely over the moon with excitement. She arrived about 2 hours later and we let her settle in for the rest of that day and then the first few days she was here I did ground work with her and she did super good. I learned that she really likes to learn and work. She can get a little bit scared of things but calms down quick. She is also a very curious mare and gets along with the other mares great. I’m really loving riding her and I’m so grateful for her.
