Prisoners serve only 40% maximum for sentences now under the new labour government. Sometimes even less then 40% if they go on house arrest when coming out. So 40% would be serving only 6 years of a 15 year sentence
That's a lot considering Anna Saccoulas was not only allowed to run away, aided to do so by America, but then only got 8 months suspended, when she drove on the wrong side of the road and killed biker Harry Dunn, so never went to jail at all. So both caused an accident by failing to follow traffic rules, both ran away, one wasnt jailed at all, the other got 15 years. See the discrepancy?.

People in the comments acting like 15 years is nothing lol. Just from 18 to 33, pretty much most of your adult life... no brain at all. It was a horrible accident and i dont know the details and its obviously a tragedy.

Punishment is supposed to deter crime, seems like it does the opposite in England
