Nice to see someone show what it takes I did the floors in my 60 Olds 88 and I had to use Impala floors so a bit of adapting.its hard work. and your owning it
Hey thanks so much. Certainly making some progress. Not sure that I'm happy enough with how these new floor supports match up. We are discussing the purchase of a different brand. Stay Tuned. ( as always thanks for watching, participating and subscribing !)
Hi there! That's a great question. I do keep a detailed log book of hours invested. I'd have to go through and add up the " Floor Hours" but, where do you draw the line? hahah Removing the old section, cut to fit, test fit again and again, then finally weld, and seam seal. Let me take a look and come up with a number...hint, A ton! Thanks for the question . -steve
Ok so I took a look at the labor log and the number you're looking for is really hard to pin down. There's so many things to include like making and installing support bars for body shell prior to cutting out the floors, repairing inner rocker panels and replacing floor support cross members, trimming and prepping the new floor pan sections, test fitting and re-test fitting, checking all measurements and the finally welding into place completely and then of course seam sealing. All of this said, I would say that there is roughly 50 + hours invested in converting the rusted floor pans, inner rockers and floor supports from rusty useless trash into a solid and secure under belly. This does not include any work on the trunk pan. I hope this explanation helps ! Thanks for watching . Let me know if you have any further questions. -steve
Good morning . I don't recall exactly what company we bought those trough close to two years ago but I can tell you that they are all AMD Brand floor pan sections. Left and Right halves, rear seat pan and also the trunk pan. Thanks for watching. -steve
