If you want to see 3000 years of Chinese history, visit Xi'an. If you want to see 800 years of Chinese history, visit Beijing. If you want to see 30 years of Chinese future, visit Shenzhen. If you want to see a mix of futuristic and old-school China, visit city of Cyberpunk Chongqing. If you want to see the most spectacular natural scenery, go to Guilin, Guangxi. Every province in China is different. There are so many interesting places.
I was rather intrigued by your title which appears to suggest that Guilin is the only town in China that is communist. 😂 I watched your previous vlog on Guangzhou but it wasn't titled "exploring 4000 years of culture in communist Guangzhou". Indeed, China practises market socialism : it is a vibrant market economy but essential services like education, healthcare and public transport are not privatised but kept low and affordable for the masses. More importantly, it is not a capitalist economy like the US where the top 1% own 90% of the country's wealth while the bottom 50% has seen its wages stagnating for the last 30 years. Most significantly is that the capitalists can't control the politburo in China, unlike in the US where the powerful lobbies in Washington DC can influence policy-making by putting certain senators in power through funding their political campaigns. My American friend prefers the US capitalist system far better because he falls into the top 1% and his dad is also a part of the influential "military industrial complex" by working for Raytheon. So if you are rich, powerful and well connected, then the US is a better system for you. But if you don't even have expensive medical insurance for instance, then perhaps China will look after you better, being safer and a lot cheaper too.
im Chinese, China is one of the most safety countries in the world, I can say this responsibly, we almost got no thief, no robber, but if you go to the popular tourist spot, you're gonna get scamed, no doubt! I always get scamed even if I'm Chinese.🤣🤣
The standard length of the high-speed trains is 8 cars and the longest one is 16 cars i.e. twice of the standard trains. It is necessary to have these gigantic railway stations in China to cope with the huge number of travellers e.g. during the Chinese New Year.
Unfortunately I’m having real issues with my laptop right now so not able to finish the next video, hoping to have it repaired ASAP! Thanks for waiting 🙏
There are many kinds of communism. Market socialism, as practiced in China, is one approach, but it differs significantly from Maoism or Soviet-style communism, leading to confusion among people.
I’ll be first to admit I’m by no means learned with the variations of communism. But with that I’m not a political correspondent so I rarely involve myself too much in the details. But thanks for the info, it always great to learn!
Even we Chinese do not talk about communism today, almost every country will complex capitalism and social plannings(which is socialism) as their policy, why you like to divide people by xxlism?
GUILIN is so beautiful, just enjoy the nature, the people there or most Chinese people are friendly, but not those who work in the scenic area, just keep in mind that!!

Ordinary people in China say we are not a communist country, but foreigners say we are a communist country. I'm more passionate about authoritarianism and state capitalism

It’s brilliant, the modern rail system in China is fantastically well planned.
Enjoy your trip and have a good time in China❤

We common people don't care about ideology or politic. If the nation is well, then the government doing their best and practice suitable ideology

It's useless to talk about "ism". As for people being able to live and work in peace and contentment, this government is right.

actually China is state capitalism, but the government calls it "socialism with Chinese characters".
