Rambling my way around the world, experiencing vastly different cultures, with a little focus on historic sites.
I Visited Vietnam’s Revolutionary Cave

After a long, long hiatus - It's time to get back to it. This is the second of a two-part series where I head into the northern parts of Vietnam to search for the soul of Uncle Ho and his compatriots, exploring the areas where they began their fight for freedom.
In this video, we'll journey through the rugged landscapes of Northern Vietnam, visiting key sites that played a role in the early days of the revolution. From remote mountain villages to hidden forest camps, we'll walk in the footsteps of Ho Chi Minh and his fellow rebels, trying to understand the conditions and motivations that sparked their movement.
While politics is a sensitive subject, I've tried my best to remain impartial, focusing instead on the historical significance of these locations and the remarkable achievements of this small band of revolutionaries. It's a humbling experience to stand in places where history was made, and I hope to convey some of that feeling through this video.
Join me as we delve into this crucial period of Vietnamese history, uncovering stories and sites that shed light on the beginnings of a movement that would reshape the country.
I really hope you enjoy the video!

Today's video is all about my slightly chaotic but totally memorable day trying to visit the world's biggest Buddha at Leshan. Spoiler alert: I didn’t exactly make it in through the front gates, but who says you need conventional entry to have a great time? So, the park was already closing by the time I got there (yeah, timing isn't my strong suit), but I didn’t let that stop me. With a little ...

The Good, Bad and Ugly of Chengdu's Over popular Panda Attraction. I recently spent a full day at the panda conservation center in Chengdu. It was a bit of a challenge with all the crowds and getting bumped by tour groups, but once I got to the panda areas, it was incredible. I saw giant pandas just hanging out, baby pandas messing around with their moms, and some red pandas too. They’re just a...

Вместо того чтобы бежать они стоят с телефоном
We were at a designated safe area by the police, but maybe running would be better - always good to keep cardio in check!

Well actually, this was after a 9 hour ride without issue and then I came across this road, like many other locals, that surprisingly started to collapse. These things happen when you leave your house.
Oh damn, stay safe out there bro, quite the sight though
Insane!
Whoa that’s insane watching them all run away on the other end
I especially love watching your travel style in China. This is my first time to visit your channel since you left China, and I thought there would be MANY new videos to watch, but ,who can expect that there were only 2 new videos!😡😢😣😭
Ahaha I’m sorry!! I took a small break but I’ve decided to do a couple more trips again. Honestly I initially intended only to do China but seems like people enjoyed the content so I’ll make some more bit by bit ;) A new video will be coming up soon - not such a huge amount like China but a longer one at least!
@@ramblingbard 🤩😸😸🫶🏻peace. Keep safe and happy
Be careful when you walk around the border, some landmines are still not removed.

The bugs must be the reason why they wear masks
Need a supercut of Rambling Bard's struggle with the stairs of Asia 😂 Great to have you back. This was a really nice video to watch for the scenery, super relaxing! Probably not as relaxing for you as you meandered the small roads on the bike, but it was a very chill as watch for me 😊
excited to see your upcoming adventures! welcome back
You are back! I have been waiting for the updates! Welcome back!
Thank you!! 🤩
Oh, the immortal of incessant prattle hath begun his babbling once more.😊😊😊😂😂😂

Good to have you back, looking forward to part 2!
This looks so beautiful!
Songshan Mountain is not only Buddhism, but also the holy land of Chinese Taoism and Confucianism. Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism these three religions coexist in this place.❤
It is a little pity you missed the Taoist Zhongyue Temple. But your time was tight already 😂, so it needed to be given up anyway. I checked that it is on the other side of the Song mountain, no wonder you didn't see it. 😂 Zhongyue Temple is a group of temples with an area of 130,000 square meters. It's also known as the "Little Forbidden City." In history, 68 emperors came there to worship and pray for peace and prosperity of the country to the mountains/nature.
btw, at 30:39 .This is a Taoist god.😊
You have a delicate heart for animals, for your friend, for this world. Hope your future journey goes well.
When will you post a new video😊
I went to there 18 years ago but different route, I hope I'll be there and follow your route.
You have achieved enlightenment
Loved your video so much. Actually you are the only youtuber that I logged in my youtube account to sub among all the other s who visited China recently. It’s a pity that probably your vlog style is not that attractive to non-Chinese viewers so most of the audience are Chinese who don’t usually use youtube. I really love the ending of this last episode which you won’t find in any other vlog. It striked a chord when I first watched it, even we are from different countries. Looking forward to watching your other vlogs, if you are going to upload. If not, wish the best luck to you and it’s a pleasure that I have once watch these videos in my life.
give you road~
You are unbelievable 😮it’s all I can say Hhhh
Dali is also pretty 😍 but maybe a little touristy 😅 people gathered to celebrate the Torch Festival yesterday,it was really fun
Do you believe it? In fact, this video is one of the most played videos of yours in China 🇨🇳 . It was a wonderful trip. You are so brave !!!Salute !🎉I'm looking forward more updates of new videos ❤Any type of trip is fine😊

Travel is ok living there is terrible
I saw your video on the Chinese video app Bilili, it's very interesting, and you're also very cute. You, who are not very willing to communicate with locals, have been wandering in the most lively scenes. Another question, don't you eat staple food? You're such a snack prince
