First: I love the 2025 Murano, and look forward to sampling one. We purposely bought a 2024 Murano, with the sweet V6 and unobtrusive CVT. Excellent noises from the engine and exhaust. Smooth and predictable power, no response delays or shift bump sensations in city traffic. I am curious how the 9-speed handles repeated "on throttle, off throttle" upshifting and downshifting when varying speeds in the 5 MPH to 45 MPH range. Driving with light to moderate throttle inputs in traffic often brings out shift lunges or kicks with geared transmissions.
@ sure hope so. Hybrid would be great and I’m very surprised how late Nissan is with hybrids even though they had hybrid Altimas years ago and discontinued them.
The turbo 3 cylinder in the Rogue sounds fantastic, even at high throttle. This one, well, sounds like a 4 cylinder. Not too raspy, but certainly not as pleasing as the 3- or 6-cylinder engines they make. The car seems brilliant outside of that. And there's nothing *wrong* with that engine, it just seems like an odd fit.
For sure! The Nissan Murano is known for its stylish design and comfy interior. It usually comes with a good amount of tech features, like a touchscreen infotainment system and safety tech.
So, is the fuel economy really the same? I have a V6 Murano, but realistically, city driving gets me about 16-17 MPG. Highway driving, with no stop and go, will hit 30 MPG. I average about 19-20 MPG. Which makes me wonder what this Murano will actually get in real use, and not just the EPA estimate?
Nissan reputation went very bad it has long time transmission break down issues on Rouge Even Nissan was going under bankruptcy situation So this time Nissan must have done better reliability but at least 2 years to see their reliability ☹️
The previous Muranos was a throwaway car because of the Cvt. The 2025 Murano is a throwaway because of the potential class action suit VC 4banger engine.
@@Terry-p7tMuranos have never been throwaway vehicles. Quite the opposite, they have had very good reliability for years. I know multiple people who have owned them for several years with 150k-200k miles on them with no troubles. My uncle’s has close to 200K miles on it and has never had any major mechanical issues.
I currently have a QX50 Sport with the same VC Turbo engine. I love the power and torque it makes and I don’t find it to be raspy or noisy unless it’s under heavy load at high RPM’s. MPG’s are good too. I’m going to drive the Murano to see how the 9 speed feels and performs compared to my CVT (which I actually like). Nissan has a winner here in the Murano.

Nissan Murano a very good vehicle. In the last years all our vehicles have been Nissan. Nice review
My condolences. They've made crap for 20 years and are in a lot of financial trouble.

Great test drive of the all new 2025 Nissan Murano!! Merry Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas 🎄
Those rims. 😢 Other than the poor gas mileage this looks like a fine vehicle. Rooting for Nissan.
Yay. Finally. Great job.
I may trade in the 24 Rogue Platinum. lol
QX55 drivetrain minus CVT.
Rogue is so much more fuel economic tho! Don't think I can trade in my 37mpg Rogue for a 27mpg Murano that is barely noticeably bigger on the inside.
@@BoopSnootright and it has a new CVT, much better now, stick with the Rogue if you don’t need a new vehicle!
Remember when 4 cylinders was the one nobody ever wanted to buy? Crazy to see how it’s just becoming standard in all vehicles now.
Yeah and I don’t want a 4 cylinder forced on me. I want at least a V6, so I’ll be keeping my 2023 Murano with V6 longer I guess
Manufactures having to meet ever increasing fuel mileage requirements.
@ yeah but the turbo 4 in the new Nissan Murano doesn’t really get any better mileage than the V6 its replacing…
@@bradley7506 hybrid is coming out next year.

I love my Nissan Murano . First car I have loved in a long time.

Its really odd the Rogue sounds so good. My mom got one recently and yeah, its a nice car. Sounds good.

Unfortunately, there's no way to hide that buzzy 4 cylinder sound that compromises that luxury feel.
Fantastic video!😸
9 speed auto is a good choice
Love you videos and reviews! In your opinion, what is your favorite small suv
Thank you! I really enjoy spending time with the Mazda CX-50 Turbo since it feels very athletic compared to other compact SUVs

Give the buttons back . We do not need screens that do not even understand the touch .
I need one 👍🏾😎💯
My 2003 Murano has no piano black, 2025 has piano black everywhere . NISSAN, PEOPLE DONT LIKE PIANO BLACK.
You should see how much is on our 2024 Blazer RS. Love it though, especially with the NA V6 and all the features. Handles and rides very well too.
@@royrussinger2104 oh man Chevy loves that piano black in the practice of the car too. It's so bad.

We look forward to testing that out in the coming months when we actually live with one for a while
Zero to Sixty times are overrated. Torque is what’s important. .
Another gas powered dinosaur …….. that noise on acceleration just makes me shake my head. No thanks

They never went into bankruptcy
CVT uses less fuel. But.
Nissan so strapped for cash, they make reviewers share test vehicles? O_O
No, it’s their choice
CVT? Bye
No CVT in this one. It's a 9-speed auto.
The previous Muranos was a throwaway car because of the Cvt.

@@ZapFlashDBut the engine is an unrefined 4 banger.
