A couple years ago I bought a Jaguar I-Pace and I would do anything and pay anything to have that EV technology in my '69 VW Karmann Ghia convertible.....if not for the speed, just so I can hear the stereo and be able to talk on the phone! Well done job guys, now make a plug & play version and send me an invoice!
@@ElectrogenicREV I'm back and since my previous post I've bought a Porsche Taycan Turbo S....and loving it. Still CRAVING to convert my '69 Ghia convertible to EV, please!!!!!!!!
wonderful. I adore Karmann Ghias and always have; would love to have an electric one. I live in California (LA) and wonder if anyone has recommendations on a good source?
What motor/controller setup are you using? Im using two stacked AC-35 with two 144v controllers. I will be using Nissan Leaf Modules. It will be a toss up between another Ghia or a Type3 Fastback. Either way a dual motor setup. I like how you did the rear luggage area. Excellent idea if you use a single motor.
Putting each microphone on his own channel is a very bad idea. This makes watching the video wearing headphones an awfully experience. Nice content anyway.
Another gorgeous conversion, a mate had a Karmann Ghia years ago and it was a lovely car but so slow. This looks amazing, love the colour too.
Thanks - and yes, much faster now!

Solves ALL the limitations of the original.

Great video
The guy in sunglasses sounds like Archibald Penelope Snatcher in Box Trolls, look it up for a chuckle lol
Its looks more orange in the flesh 🍊, perhaps the camera. Lovely car! 💪⚡👍
Yeah, it does and thanks!
As the Mandalorians say “This is the way!”
I saved a 69 Ghia from the crusher. Would love to some day go electric to keep it on the road for ever. But for now I need to get it running 👍
Great that you saved it. Let us know when you're ready to go electric!

Camera crew good. Sound guy bad.

Thanks for letting us know - we'll get that sorted out for the next video.
